Taking to Twitter, the businesswoman said she couldn’t sleep all night because a patient and her family members were praying and playing music at the loudest volume.

Precious said she approached them to tone down their prayers but they refused and thought her to be an enemy for wanting to disturb their prayers.

According to her, she decided to pay them back in their own coin and brought out her JBL speaker to also play music. She said they were disturbed by the music and told her to turn the speaker off because someone wanted to sleep but she also refused.

She however disclosed that she eventually turned it off when she was ready to sleep.

Read as she wrote below,

“I didn’t sleep all night cuz the patient next to me and her family were playing music to the loudest and shouting.

It’s my own turn to do worship, I have brought out my JBL speakers and now they’ve come to tell me someone wants to sleep.

No pls, may the best worshipper win 🙏🏻

Because when I went to beg them to reduce their voices, they were looking at me like I was a witch who was trying to stop them from praying.

First to do no dey pain

I want to jam to Maverick city pls 🙏🏻

UPDATE: I don off am 🙏🏻

I announced that I’d like to sleep to makeup for last night and the ward is dead quiet.

“It’s weird to give your child the dad’s last name, women and their kids are not a man’s property” – Lady tells her fellow females

A lady has sparked a debate on Twitter after she shared her opinion about a child bearing the father’s last name.

The lady identified as devonleighs, in a thread stated that it’s weird for a woman to give a child she birthed the dad’s last name, especially when she doesn’t have his surname.

According to her, a child should bear the mother’s name because women and their kids are not a man’s property and they are the ones who carry the child and go through labour pains.

In her words,

“Giving the baby that YOU birthed, the dads last name when you don’t even have his last name will always be so weird to me. 1. Women & their kids are not a man’s property 2. We are the ones who are pregnant & give birth 3. Men are not more important than women 4. I refuse to have a different last name than my child should anything happen between me & my husband 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m sure there’s some good dads who aren’t married out there, but yea women are the ones who go through pregnancy and childbirth so I’m a firm believer in giving your kid your last name if you’re single or hyphenating if you’re married”.

“In the middle of a pandemic, I had a stroke” – Sony Irabor reveals, shares lessons his experience taught him as he turns 70

Media personality, Sony Irabor, has taken to social media to celebrate in style as he clocks 70 today, March 23.

The media icon shared beautiful family photos to mark his day and reflect on the last two years of his life.

The septuagenarian recounted how he suffered a stroke in the middle of a pandemic and how the situation affected their home.

“As I turn 70 ( three score and 10) today 23rd of March, I would like to reflect on the last two years of my life. Right in the middle of a pandemic I had a stroke! Dr Seyi Roberts, my friend and doctor described it as an Evolving stroke. Our home was turned upside down momentarily. When you have a great family you can rise faster against all travails. When I count my blessings, I count my wife, children and big sister.

I won’t lie, it has been very challenging especially as I also began to suffer from vertigo. However, I am grateful to God for making me see and mark this milestone. I thank Him for my journey to recovery. I was 17 when I left Benin for the proverbial greener pastures in Lagos. I always wanted to be a radio presenter having been inspired by Dele Olowu on Midwest Radio.

My dream of being on radio didn’t manifest until I was 22 when broadcasters like Patrick Oke & Jones Usen encouraged me to be the voice on NBC mail bag (now email). I was told I had a radio voice. I got my lucky break when at 24 I got auditioned for the role of an announcer at Radio Nigeria. While at RN I created Radioscope and later Radio Link (still running on Radio)

In 1981 I was drafted to the Radio NigeriaTraining School to train Announcers (which I still do to date). I didn’t even realize I could become a trainer. In 1979 I bagged the much Coveted Radio Nigeria Best Announcer of the year. This was so surreal. I have since then received several other awards to the glory of God. I am the host of Radio and TV Talk Show, Soni Irabor Live which was inspired by the late Larry King whom i met in washington DC in july 1986 .

I retired from Radio Nigeria at the age of 48 in 2000 to set up my businesses in Advertising, Broadcast training, broadcast media establishments and PR & Media services. I am passionate about broadcast quality and standards although so much has changed.” He wrote in part.

I thought I would release my book on the occasion of my birthday but it hasn’t happened quite like that but it will happen.

Let me leave you with three major lessons having a stroke taught me;

1️⃣ When a child falls, he looks forward but when an adult falls, he looks back …I got the opportunity to look back and reflect on my life… I gained many useful insights on moving forward better and stronger.

2️⃣ Be there for your family and friends so that in your days of need they will be there for you too. Although a handful of friends and family knew of my illness I realised how blessed I am.

3️⃣ When life happens to you, see it as an opportunity for a growth mindset, to let you face the challenges and a time to catch your breath.

Thank you all and God bless🙏🙏🙏

May you live long!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME”

“Your crime was serving your fatherland” — Friends mourn military personnel killed in Kagoro massacre in Kaduna

military personnel killed

Friends of a military officer killed during the bandit attack in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State have taken to Facebook to mourn his sad demise.

military personnel killed

On Sunday, March 20, suspected bandits launched a massive attack against Tsonje, Agban, Katanga and Kadarko, all within Kagoro Chiefdom of Kaura LGA, killing 34 people, including two military personnel.

One of the deceased personnel have now been identified as Flight Officer Clement Joseph Ashu of Operation Safe Haven Sector 7 Kafanchan.

Taking to social media to pay tribute to him, one Stanley Asukwo Effiong disclosed that he and the deceased attended mass in Kafanchan few hours before the attack.

military personnel killed

According to Stanley, the only crime of the deceased was serving his country because he was supposed to attend St. Patrick’s celebration but stayed back at his duty post.

“Pikin wey wash him hands well, na him go follow elders Chop” Those were your words to me the last time we sat with you and Ralph Chinedu Odike at Concord garden. You so much believed in me and encouraged me,” Maureen Ghandu wrote.

“I had a lot to do today but I couldn’t, I was never myself and was wondering what was wrong. Yes I woke up feeling sad after viewing those gory pictures on social media about last night attack I never knew you where one of them.

“Yesterday was Feast of St. Patrick’s celebration and you really wanted to attend but the situation in Southern Kaduna was not something to write home about. You wished us well in the celebrations and asked for pictures as well from us.

“One thing I kept asking myself. What if you left your duty post to attend the feast day celebration will you have died??? God knows the best. Your crime was serving your father land. My heart bleeds big brother Clement Joseph Ashu .

“May Angels receive your soul and present it to God the most high. Rest in peace good man. Your killers will never know peace”

Another young man, identified as Emmanuel Junior Zakka, in his tribute described the deceased as his friend and brother.

“Clement Joseph Ashu, thank you for your service to fatherland, to my land of Southern Kaduna, though you came from Calabar.

“Memories of our time together at St Patrick’s, Kawo, as Lectors. It was great knowing you. When we were planning a reunion of old Lectors from St Patrick’s sometime last year, you were passionate and wanted it by all means. But we did not give you the farewell you wanted. We did not know. Mauree Zabe Daniel Ghandu pushed for it, but we did not all agree. Josephine Mwuese Justin wanted it badly, but it was not to be.

“My Guy, why? I am in tears as I type this. It is just hard to believe. But you did not die a coward, you died defending my people. You gave your life up in defense of the defenseless. That ambush…God, please why do these things happen to good men?

“Normally you upload pictures and videos of such events whenever they happen in SK. I did not see any today and at about 3.00 pm I tried your always-on line but it was unusually switched off. I then made a post on the group we belonged to – Former Members of St Patrick’s Kawo and asked for prayers for you.

“And then Ralph Chinedu Odike called me and tactically gave me a hint. Then Emmanuel Abubakar Soje chatted me and said he was not sure but then I should prepare for the worst in case. It was a tough way of telling me what I feared. I was still in disbelief. He said you attended Mass together yesterday.

Remember your message two days ago, telling me you would not be attending the St Patrick’s day because of the attacks in the Gidan Waya axis that needed your attention and your boys. You said Ralph had booked your hotel room already but no way. Now your heavenly room is set. Tell me it is a joke, if you can read me.

When I was in Lagos last August with Fr Zakka, at the 68 Army Reference Hospital, Yaba, you called and when you heard Fr Zakka was on admission to asked for my account number and sent a token for fruits. You be my guy wella, Clem. Then why this?

God of mercy, God of compassion, you are not my mate or else I would ask WHY ALL THIS Now a young wife and a baby girl, I know God will be their defense. I also know you will be close to them even in death.

“May this be heaven’s gain. Receive his soul, angels of God and present him to God the most High.”

Kaduna: Lady who underwent multiple surgeries after surviving bandit attack in 2016 killed alongside her mother and brother in Kagoro massacre

Anita Dauda, a young lady who was shot multiple times by bandits over six years ago, was among those slain in a fresh attack in Kagoro community, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday, March 20.

In December 2016, the deceased was a victim of a bandit attack on the Kagoro-Gidan Waya route. She survived by the whiskers and needed multiple surgeries to be back on her feet.

The young lady was still sourcing for funds to undergo a hip replacement surgery but sadly last Sunday, she became a double victim. Anita was riddled with bullets, her mother burnt to death and her brother shot dead.

She was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 22.

A member of the community, Emmanuel, who shared Anita’s sad story on Facebook wrote,

“Miss Anita Dauda, from Kagoro, Kaura local government of Kaduna State was a victim of an attack in December, 2016, along Kagoro/Gidan Waya road. She was shot in 2 different places around her hip area. She had two different surgeries in January, 2017 (St. Louis Hospital Zonkwa) and in May, 2020 (Bature Medical Center, Fadan Karshi)

She was then recommended to go for hip replacement in Bimma Hospital, Jos, Plateau State with an estimated bill of (1.5million naira). Due to lack of funds, she has been home and not able to live a normal life for 5 years as she’s still suffering from the effects of the bullet wounds. An update from two night’s attack in southern Kaduna where scores of homes were destroyed and people killed.

Today is one of those days when everything goes bleak and you wonder if anyone can just touch your heart and make the pain go away. Feels like you’re screaming your head off but no sound is coming out. Below you will find the story RADi posted weeks ago about Anita Dauda.

This girl went through 5 years of excruciating pain, couldn’t further her studies, go to school or learn a trade. Finally by some miracle, a donor paid in money for her to get surgery done. N1,534,700. We ended up paying way more than than what we initially paid for the surgery, as other costs came up. Almost every week Anita would call me, happy and so excited to get her life back.

She would call at every opportunity, would call and say ‘I told an Aunty/uncle of mine about RADi and they want to say thank you’. I was even thinking of calling the donor to ask if Anita could call because she just won’t stop saying thank you and I wanted the donor to see how excited Anita was.

Her mom would call me randomly to say she’s happy her daughter has another chance at life again. Anita was so happy. The day of her surgery hey mom was with her and had her phone and so it was her I communicated with the whole time. That communication never stopped. They were starting to leave their horrible past behind and look forward to the future. It was one of my happy RADi stories.

Anita was one of those that made me genuinely happy. Form the miracle of the donor that paid for her surgery to how we had developed this bond and you could just hear her excitement as she got better and better. Until I got the message this afternoon. Last night, during the attack on Kagoro, Anita was again shot multiple times and has a nasty cut on her head. I am told she had gone to Kagoro to meet up with her mother so they could both travel to Jos today to meet up with her doctor’s appointment.

Again, Anita had to watch herself being shot multiple times, her mother burnt to death and her brother killed. She’s critical in the hospital as I type this. I swear I want my tears to stop. I’m tired. I’m drained. I feel hopeless. How does a human being survive this? What did Anita do wrong?

What have we done wrong? What have we not not done? What am I supposed to do? How much more louder can my scream be? What did we do to deserve this? Why isn’t anyone stopping this. We are in pains! Mama National just called me. People don’t sleep at night. Every nightfall comes with trepidation and fear of what lies ahead in the long dark night.

We say good bye to family members not knowing if we will see them in the morning. For how long don Allah?! For how long? I’m tired. I don’t know what else to do. I don’t know how else to help. I’m drained, and I’m tired. Every day, every single day we have one case or the other, so much we don’t even post on social media. You take one step forward and then Kaduna will take you one thousand steps back. My brain and heart hurt so bad. I’m hurting so bad.

Please pray for Anita. Please pray for those fighting for their lives right now in various hospitals. Please pray for the minds of victims. Please pray for our children. Please pray for wisdom to know how to defend ourselves phisically. Please and please! Help me pray for my homeland. Life is already hard…deaths everywhere. This is no way to live when we are already going through so much! This HAS to stop. It HAS t. Anita has passed away. RIP my sister your killers will not have peace of mind.”

His heartbroken father speaking in a chat with DailyTrust said,

“He left Ilorin on Sunday after the wedding to resume office on Monday only for me to be called by his wife that he was restless in the morning.

He drove himself to the hospital when he was feeling discomfort. It was when the wife got to the hospital that he met him in that state of restlessness. He was just 28 years old and recently gave birth to twins.

I am pained but I have accepted Allah’s decree on this. This is the second of my sons that I would bury. But if this had happened before the wedding, it would have been a different story.”

“My husband changed after we applied for his Green card. He didn’t kiss nor touch me for a whole year” – American wife of comedian Mr Patrick calls him out

Tammy Onyeke, the American wife of Nigerian stand-up comedian, Patrick Onyeke, popularly known as Mr. Patrick, has revealed that their 6-year marriage is on the verge of hitting rock bottom.

Tammy Onyeke in an interview with YouTuber, Obodo Oyinbo TV, accused her husband of lying and cheating in their marriage.

According to her, her husband’s attitude completely changed after they applied for his green card. Tammy further alleged that Mr Patrick abandoned her since June 2021 and also pretended to love her so he could secure a Green Card.

“I don’t know what is going on with my husband. He came out with that video to make those statements. That is not my husband, and he doesn’t do social media tantrums. So when I saw the video, I texted my husband, “Is he okay?” because that’s not like him.

So since June, all these things have been happening to bring things to you. My husband has been gone since June. He moved out of the house, and I have only seen him twice. The six-year-old marriage is on the verge of a divorce due to lies and Infidelity”. She said.

Tammy also recounted the sacrifices she made including coming to Nigeria to learn how to make Nigerian dishes after they got married.

“Our first misunderstanding began after a Nigerian actress messaged my husband at 2 a.m. I thought it was an emergency. Maybe his dad and I saw a message saying, “baby, I am sorry I slept off.” So I said, who is this calling my husband.

“So I went to the actress’ page, I clicked on her story, there was a video. I saw my husband and the actress talking to someone, and then I asked the actress via her Instagram story, “Why are you calling my husband baby” do you know that that actress deleted that story?.

“I went to my husband, and I woke him and questioned him. He said it’s not my business; he said it’s someone she was his business partner. I got all kinds of stories.

“I noticed the difference when we applied for Patrick’s Green Card. He started acting funny. He wasn’t kissing me, wasn’t touching me, for a whole year, he was acting funny, and I said I can’t take this anymore.” She added.

Meanwhile, the comedian in an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze claimed that wicked” Nigerians in the diaspora and fake friends are the ones seeking to destroy his marriage and get him deported.

Man reveals condition ‘baba’ gave him and his best friend to make them rich

A young Nigerian guy recently shared the experience he had with his best friend who took him to a native doctor in a bid to make them rich.

Narrating his encounter, the young man shared how he sprinted after hearing the condition the native doctor had given them to make money.

He narrated,

“Some weeks ago, my bestfriend since childhood called me on phone and said he knows a place where we can go to make money.

Since we left school, nothing has been working for either of us so I decided to give a try.

I asked him how he found out about the place and he said his former boss told him about it and he knows it is legit. He said his ex boss would take us there if we decide to follow him.

We left at night around 9pm. The journey was really long with so many cuts. Finally we reached. First of all, my bestfriend said it was like a religious kind of place. (That’s what his former boss told him so I don’t really blame him). Turns out it was more like a cult.

I was frightened and I observed that my friend was scared as well. When we reached the place, the oga at the top with his red cloth told us to pull off our shirts and slippers. We obeyed.

My friend’s boss comfortably sat down at one corner while we were already shivering. The oga asked if we really want to make money. Then with fear, we said yes.

The baba looked at us. And said our case is hard. We asked how? He said we are bestfriends. I said how does it matter? Then he dropped the bombshell.

He said we would have to choose between ourselves who needs the money more and who will be the sacrifice between us. That means one would die for the other to make it.

Immediately he said that, I looked at my friend and I quickly picked up my slippers and ran off as fast as my legs could carry me. I didn’t bother to see if anyone was calling me to come back. But since I got back, I have been having frightening dreams and worse of it all is that I haven’t set my eyes on my bestfriend since then. I am really scared. Should I meet his parents?”
