A man who was an avid supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) slumped and died during the convention of Saturday March 26.
The supporter was heading for Eagle Square, the venue of the convention when he slumped and passed away. One of those around him said the deceased first complained of dizziness and collapsed thereafter.
According to reports, people at the scene rushed to help him but their efforts were in vain as the man had already given up the ghost.
The deceased was later covered and taken away by some persons led by some security operatives.
In other reports, a video shows a stampede that occurred earlier at the venue. Party members who were eager to get into the venue broke the barricade mounted by security agents. The struggle to get in ensued in a stampede and more people might have gotten hurt in the process.

In a rather absurd incident, a lady has been brutally flogged by her boyfriend for attacking his alleged side chick over an undisclosed reason.
A video trending online shows the moment the ‘main chick’ and her friends unleashed hell on her boyfriend’s side chick and filmed the episode.
They are seen beating the side chick mercilessly with multiple canes.
In the latter part of the viral video, the main chick and her friends were subjected to the same treatment by her ‘boyfriend’ and his side chick as punishment for their actions.
The boyfriend is seen flogging his girlfriend with a koboko (a traditional whip used mostly by military personnel) before handing the whip to his alleged side chick to also beat them.
He could be heard telling her that she and her friends beat his alleged side chick till she developed chest pain and had to take medication.
He also said if someone did the same to thing to his main chick, he would fight for her like he is fighting for his alleged chick.
Media personality, Daddy Freeze has taken to social media to counter those castigating some Nigerian artistes for performing at political events.
This comes in the light of the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
There has been an online debate about it as people question if it is right and wrong, and if the artistes are indirectly endorsing the political candidates.

Reality show star, Ka3na Jones, has advised mothers to take regular breaks from parenting to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Speaking in a video she shared on her Instastories, the mother of one who went clubbing last night, March 25, said every mother needs that kind of time off to drink and party.

Billionaire heiress and entertainer, Florence Otedola better known as DJ Cuppy, has shared a philosophical piece on social media after she had a phone conversation with one of her ex-boyfriends, footballer Victor Anichebe.
Taking to Twitter today, March 26, Cuppy disclosed that she is still friends with the 33-year-old footballer, although it took them time to become friends again after their relationship crashed in 2017.
According to her, they realized that life is too short to be holding grudges against each other and decided to choose peace and positivity.

Calabar On-Air Personality, Kanedrick Kingsley Agwu popularly known as Fada Kane, has discovered that his two children are not biologically his after over 20 years.
The media personality took to Facebook to make this disclosure today, March 25, and shared photos of the DNA test result and court affidavit confirming that he is indeed not the biological father of the children birthed by his ex-girlfriend, MaryAnn Efa.
According to him, he was only 16-years-old when his ex-girlfriend alleged that she was pregnant with his child, and this brought shame and reproach to him.
He said he was thrown out of the house over the pregnancy, only for him to discover now that the children are not his as claimed by his ex-lover.
“This is to inform the general public that I, Kanedrick Kingsley Agwu popularly known as Fada Kane is not the biological father of Anthonia Duke and Paul Duke as alleged by one Miss MarryAnn Efa Duke,” he wrote.
Attached here are the copies of DNA and court affidavit to further ascertain my claims. MaryAnn Efa and her family are free to contest the DNA results through the court where I too can legally file for damages for such allegations.”
Veteran Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, has revealed he’s currently hospitalized because he was poisoned at an event in Abuja.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, the comedian disclosed that the incident occurred during an entertainment event in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, and that he is recovering.
“I just got poisoned again. It seems my enemies are using me to rehearse (their powers). This time, I wasn’t poisoned in the village. I was poisoned in Abuja last week at an entertainment event. I really cannot explain how I was poisoned because it was a gathering of people, though it was not a big event.
I am recuperating, although I have neither worked out nor driven since I got ill. However, I intend to take a walk this (Friday) evening, because I am hopeful that I would get better. I am eating well now, and I’m prepared to go back on set any moment from now.” He said.
A 23-year-old woman, Kailee Jones, has suffered an allergic reaction after she got lip fillers because she thought her lips looked too small.
Jones had 1ml of lip filler placed across her upper and lower lips, but claims that within an hour of the treatment her lips began to “balloon”.
She believes that she had an allergic reaction to the lip filler and says applying ice to her mouth only made the swelling worse.
The technology consultant shared the photos of her allergic reaction to warn people about the possible side effects of lip filler. She also revealed that she spent 48 hours unable to speak, drink or eat normally because of her sore lips.
“I’ve always had thinner lips and they disappear when I smile so I wanted to make them fit my face a little bit more. Everything went well at the appointment and the first hour after it started swelling but I think it was just normal because they do swell. I kept icing them and I think that the ice might have made it worse because then they really started to blow up.
“Once it hit after an hour or two they were really big and then it was 48 hours of them being that big. I couldn’t drink anything or even open my mouth to talk – I couldn’t speak. I would say they were eight times the size of my normal lips, it was unreal. I looked like the Monsters, Inc. character.” She said.
Doctors gave Kailee oral steroids to bring the swelling down, but warned her that the swelling may close her throat if it travelled from her lips to her neck. Luckily, her lips began to calm down after three days and she didn’t need further treatment or for the filler to be dissolved.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Gombe State has confirmed that a female corps member was evicted from the orientation camp in Amada for refusing to wear khaki trousers.
In a statement released on Friday, March 25, the state coordinator, Ada Imoni, stated the corps member “blatantly refused to wear the khaki trouser and instead opted to wear a khaki skirt.”
“She was made to face the camp court, found guilty and subsequently decamped in accordance to the provisions of the NYSC Bye-laws”. Imoni added.

It is therefore an offence to deface the Uniform to any form other than the one issued by Management.
The National Youth Service Corps Bye-laws reprinted in year 2000 Schedule 2 , section 1 sub-section (I) says ” Failure to wear the uniform provided for any particular activity
PENALTY: The Corps member should be informed to go and wear the uniform, failing which he will be decamped. We wish to place on record that the said Corps member blatantly refused to wear the khaki trouser and chose to wear khaki Skirt instead ( A case of defacing and refusal to wear our uniform) She was made to face the camp court , found guilty and subsequently decamped in accordance to the provisions of the NYSC Bye-laws.

Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl, a Lagos socialite who went viral on social media after she distributed kegs of petrol as souvenir at a party, has bagged 27 months in prison by a Special Offences Mobile Court sitting in Oshodi, Lagos.
Chidinma’s verdict was given after she pleaded guilty to the offence of distributing PMS as souvenir during her installation party on March 5, 2022.
The defendant, who was earlier arraigned on March 14, violated section 251 (1), 168 (1), 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and Section 195 (2)(b) of the Environmental Management Protection Law of Lagos State 2017.
Chief Magistrate Kehinde Ogundare, who held that the prosecution has successfully proven the charge against the defendant beyond a reasonable doubt, sentenced the defendant to three months imprisonment or option of N15,000 fine on the first count of the charge.
The magistrate also ordered the defendant to pay N1 million fine on the second and third count of the charge or face two years imprisonment.

I was living and growing 🙏…. school resumed again , went with my first daughter zeena.. I started shuffling between Lagos and Oyo (school ) I OPENED MY SECOND STORE in Lagos 🙏.. .

Please God is telling us something , I took the decision of an extra year for my first house warming and son’s dedication!! Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Leo Dasilva, has opined that women are not ready for marriage until they are 35 and above.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate triggered reactions from social media users, especially women, with this assertion. According to him, although the majority of under-35 women think they are ready for marriage, that’s not the case.
He noted that a woman is only ready for marriage at age 35, while a man is ready at age 47.

Controversial Nigerian singer and entertainer, Speed Darlington has taken to social media to share a video of the hotel room he paid N50k per night for.
The singer revealed that the air conditioner in the hotel room was dripping water on the floor and he had to use a waste bin to collect the water.
According to him, the sound of water falling into the waste bin was making funny noises.
Speaking further in the video he posted, Speed Darlington said any hotel in Nigeria that is not newly constructed always has one issue or the other.

An 18-year-old lady identified as Ezeani Adanna Goodness, who was abducted in front of her house in Ebonyi, has been raped and strangled to death.
According to reports, the lady was making a phone call on Tuesday night, March 22, while standing in front of her house in Isu Okoma, Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State, when she was grabbed by unknown men.
Narrating the unfortunate incident, the deceased’s sister said,
“We came back from Nkwoegu Isu market around 10:00pm, so my sister went to the front of our house to make phone call. I went inside the house with my mom, some minutes later, a strange number called my mom on phone that she should rush outside to look for my sister, that he was speaking with my sister on the phone when she started shouting and her phone went off.
“The guy said my sister used to call him with the same number and when he asked her, she told her that the number belongs to our mother so he saved it. We rushed outside immediately and started calling her line but it was switched off.
Around 10:47pm I called a man from Ebubegu security but he told me that he can never come out because he is not on duty. We saw a force man, named FearGod, and told him everything that happened, he called that same man from Ebubegu that I called previously, this time he told him that he is coming but never showed up.
“The same FearGod went to our neighboring village and mobilized for a search party. Around 12:00am my sister phone started ringing but no one picked. The next morning, being Wednesday, March 23, around 6:30am we saw her lifeless body in a mechanic workshop behind our house. She was raped and strangled to death and her phone was placed on her chest.”

A 9-year-old boy and his 11-month-old sibling has allegedly been chased out of the house by their aunt over witchcraft allegation in Congo.
According to Facebook user, Ivuoma Tom, the homeless children lost their father due to “lack of care and money”, while their mother died at childbirth.
They were reportedly living with their auntie before she drove them out and accused them of being the witches derailing her life and business.
Sharing a photo of the orphans, Ivuoma wrote,
“Auntie chases 9 year old boy and his 11 month old little brother from her house, calls them witches
They have been living on the street for 2 months now and they are feeding with the help of generous people they find on the street. But they don’t have a fixed roof to sleep on, it’s on the walking table that they sleep with their brother (baby). That bag they hold in their hands is their suitcase where they put their clothes 😢😢
ISAAC told me: THAT his father was a taxi driver he died due to lack of care and money. His mother died from Cesarean while giving birth to his little brother.”
While the majority of his family are in Goma the only aunt is here in Kinshasa unfortunately she ended up chasing us without a reason accusing us of witches, that is we are the ones blocking her house and business.
