The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly traced N4.2bn to embattled Police Chief, Abba Kyari; as well as his deputy, ACP Sunday Ubua’s bank accounts.

According to a report sent to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, by the NDLEA Kyari and Ubua allegedly received a combined N4.2bn from their separate bank accounts.

The NDLEA said that not less than N1.4bn passed through Kyari’s account while he was commander of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

The report also stated that Kyari’s deputy, Ubua, may have received far more than him as not less than N2.8bn was traced to his eight bank accounts.

Kyari is facing eight counts of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in cocaine, and other related offences at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Nigerian Pastor, Jide Macaulay, who is openly gay, has said that Christians who are Queer but reject homosexuality do so out of fear and ignorance of God’s love.

“There is so much to learn for our own liberation, as queer Christians. Too often those who reject homosexuality do so from a place of fear and ignorance of the love of God.”

A 24-year-old man identified as Chukwuka Igbonekwu allegedly took his own life by drinking ‘Sniper Insecticide’ in Asaba, Delta State.

The incident happened on Saturday, March 12, at Dr. Ambrose Okereke street, behind Stephen Keshi Stadium.

According to reports, the young man who was living with his longtime girlfriend, was set to marry another woman on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

A source in the street who spoke to Punch on Sunday, said ;

“There was a fight between late Igbonekwu and his girlfriend on Thursday, March 10, 2022, after much quarreling and fighting, we decided to enter their room to enquire what was the problem.

“The lady who has been living together with him over the years until his death said that the fight was as a result of the late Chukwuka wanting to leave her for another lady,” the source said.

“When we asked the deceased what was the issue, he said that he and the girlfriend are related and also both of them are the same AS genotype and therefore cannot marry.

“After the fight, they reconciled again and later we saw both of them coming out from a shopping mall and going home on Friday.

“Towards evening, the girlfriend raised alarm calling people that the late Chukwuka drank sniper, so immediately he was rushed to the hospital in Okpanam. The lady called the wife-to-be and she met them at the hospital, unfortunately, he died Saturday morning.

“They brought his corpse to the compound, after a while the family came and took the body together with the wife-to-be and the so-called girlfriend to the village without reporting to the police.”

A man, his pregnant wife and their kid have died after they were reportedly poisoned by the man’s married sidechic.

According to Twitter user @_bigPrime, the sudden death of the man and his family elicited speculation and the police got involved.

Upon thorough investigation, it was discovered that the man’s ex (who is currently married) was the brain behind the death.

A lady has taken to her social media page to reveal that she saw her boyfriend active on a “dating app” she is on and she already feels betrayed.

She disclosed that being on the app hints that one is single and ready to meet people and she does not know if she should confront him about being active on the app.

A video of a Nigerian Army officer weeping profusely and begging for the forgiveness of his superior has surfaced online.

The officer was reportedly caught by his superior while collecting bribe from motorists on a highway and was asked to hand over the bribe but he initially hesitated.

In the trending video, the soldier who said he has been in the Nigerian Army for 31 years, is seen crying profusely as he went on his knees to beg his superior not to collect the money.

He eventually surrendered the money but said amid tears that he has suffered a lot in the Nigerian Army.

In other news, popular Nigerian Broadcaster, Becky Madojemu recently reacted to photos of female inmates at the Kirikiri correctional facility in Lagos.

Photos of the prisoners hit the internet recently after a beauty pageant show was organized where the alleged killer of SuperTV CEO, Chidinma Ojukwu, emerged winner.

Reacting to the photos, Mrs Becky Madojemu said she is surprised at how healthy the female inmates look.

“Can’t believe how fresh these inmates are. Even those under the canopies are robust.” she wrote. See the photos here

A dispatch rider in Lagos State has been apprehended after a baby was allegedly found inside his courier box.

According to viral reports, the rider was nabbed with a baby in his courier box on Friday, March 11, at the Sangotedo Area of Lagos state.

A video of the incident that found it’s way to the internet showed the rider being assaulted by an angry mob who later dragged him to a police station.

One of the people in the background was heard saying, “This is the child that was abducted.”

The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.

In related news, a woman identified simply as Ade is reported to have been caught at Kuroda Hospital ‘yan kura in Kano at 2:30 am on Friday, February 15th, where she stole a newborn baby.

This comes after it was reported of one 23-year-old Blessing Aluna, who was arrested by men of the Niger state police command for selling her one-week old baby for N200,000.

According to reports, Blessing who resides in Rimi Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, was apprehended for allegedly conniving with Oludare Jeprince, who was said to be her boyfriend and accomplice, to kidnap and facilitate the sale of the baby.
