Sensational Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has taken to Twitter to disclose the surprising thing the management of his estate did to occupants.

According to Timi, the facility management told tenants that they would no longer be servicing their apartments and everyone should buy their own generator.

This comes on the heels of the spike in the price of diesel and power outage experienced across the country after the national grid collapsed, however the grid has now been restored.

Taking to Twitter, Timi said the estate told tenants to ignore the previous rule that personal generators are not allowed in the facility, and get their own generators because they will not be supplying power to them anymore.

The singer wrote on Twitter,

“Nigeria will humble you, service apartment said they are not doing servicing again. Everybody should please get their own generator. They said cancel the contract that says” no personal generator in the facility. 😂😂”

A Nigerian grandma who became an internet sensation months ago for her priceless reaction when she met her great grandson for the first time has passed away.

Recall that a Twitter identified as Obinna Nwosu, shared the photos which captured the priceless moment on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, in January 2022 and revealed that the elderly woman, who was over 90 years old, shed tears of joy on seeing her great grand-son.

According to him, she is his wife’s grandma and the meeting took place when they visited her hometown for Christmas.

In a Twitter post on the 15th of March, Obinna announced the demise of the great grandmother after living a fulfilled life.

Why are we paying taxes if our security agencies can’t stop this? It is clear that the reason Nigeria is unable to meet its OPEC production quota is not because of low investment but because of theft, pure and simple!

Meanwhile, oil producing countries are smiling as their foreign reserves rising. What is Nigeria’s problem? We need to hold our leaders more accountable! Elections are coming – security and resources need to be everyone’s agenda – let’s be vocal for our nation’s priority.

A Nigerian woman has cried out for help after her husband tricked her and their kids into visiting Nigeria and allegedly absconded with their travel documents.

The woman in an emotional video making the rounds online narrates how they lived happily as a family in Spain, until he deceived them into returning to Nigeria, and abandoned them here ever since without any just reason.

She revealed the husband, who she identified simply as Chinedu, returned with the family from their base in Spain under the guise of having a vacation in their home country, Nigeria. He later returned to Spain alone and blocked every means of reaching him.

She bemoaned that she had no idea it was a ruse, and that her husband had immediately returned to Spain with their travel documents, effectively ending their chances of returning to the European country.

The woman, amid tears, claimed that her husband’s actions were not natural and accused her husband’s sister of spiritually manipulating him.

Speaking further, the president assured Nigerians that the government is working round the clock to attend to this issue, and an action plan agreed upon earlier this month is being implemented to address the scarcity.

The statement read in part,

“I deeply regret the inconvenience caused Nigerians, following a prolonged shortage of petroleum products, something that our administration has successfully averted in our seven years in office. This administration knows the fuel shortage has placed a strain on Nigerian citizens and businesses, but relief is on the way.

I especially apologize to all sections of society for this. The government is working round the clock to attend to this issue. An action plan agreed upon earlier this month is being implemented to address the scarcity. Working together with the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), this plan is now bearing fruit.

Sufficient fuel supply has returned to a handful of states, with the queues at stations falling. In the coming days, we expect this to be the case across the rest of the country. Looking to the longer term, funds are being targeted toward keeping fuel available and affordable for the country.
The international energy markets have surged drastically in recent months, the government will however ensure that consumers are protected against these price spikes.

I have received information that some people are not behaving properly at the depots and among owners of petrol stations, and in this regard, I have directed the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the NNPC and the entire security apparatus of the nation to take strong action against those responsible. On the issue of electricity blackouts being experienced across the nation, the blackouts seen in the national grid are also being addressed.

A dip in hydroelectric generation due to seasonal pressures has coincided with technical and supply problems at thermal stations. On this, the government is also working tirelessly to resolve the issues at these stations, to guarantee sufficient power flows into the national grid.”

@OgolomaOluchi said she was invited for an interview at a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, and did all she could to get to there on time despite all odds.

According to her, when it got to her turn to be interviewed, she was told by the interviewer that she is too short for the job role and was turned away.

A small car, 1991 Honda CRX.

I noticed something.

My friends then who had bigger cars, they all congratulated me and wished me well.

Award-winning actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has reacted after a Nigerian ‘artist’ made a funny-looking artwork of her.

The artist identified as Bodataiye Oniyakuya, who is known for making caricature-like drawing of celebrities and politicians including Governor Sanwo-olu of Lagos State, decided to make Funke Akindele his muse this time around.

However, the actress seemingly didn’t like the drawing and took to her Instagram page to express her displeasure at the artist. She said if she gets him arrested now, people will say she is oppressing him with her celebrity power.

She wrote, “🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
When I call for the arrest of this guy @bodataiye_oniyakuya Ya’ll will start saying I’m using celebrity power. Hmmmmm so you think this is right? @bodataiye_oniyakuya if I catch you, you go sweat inside winter.”

Nigerian actress, Annie Idibia has reacted after her husband, 2face Idibia’s multi-million naira donation to Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, didn’t get much buzz online.

The iconic singer donated a fully equipped state-of-the-art music studio to the varsity and shared photos from the opening ceremony online.

According to him, he has always wished he was able to study music as a course in secondary and tertiary schools, but he couldn’t because the facilities were not available so he has made it one of his life’s mission to build music recording studio in as many schools as he can.

However, the news of his amazing contribution to the varsity didn’t go viral online. Reacting to the social media silence, Annie took to her Instagram page to state that if the singer had done something controversial, the news would have gone viral.

She wrote,

Gay rights activist and public speaker, Bisi Alimi has taken to his social media page to rant about the situation of things in the country.

According to Bisi who criticized the government of the day, with the number of religious centers in Nigeria, the country shouldn’t be in the messy situation that it is in presently.

He further asked Nigerians to stop praying for Nigeria, but instead start demanding for better governance from their political leaders.

“If there is a God/Allah and prayers work, with the amount of churches and mosques in Nigeria, that country shouldn’t be a mess that it is now.

The most depressing part of this madness is, Nigerians aided by their religious leaders will still find a way to justify voting for these league of stupid black men.

Stop praying, start demanding! Good governance is your birthright as a citizen of Nigeria and active citizenship is your obligation.

Even worse is the reality that there are people in Nigeria who can make Nigeria work but Nigerians will not vote for them, hence they can’t be bothered to put their names forward.

My people are so stupid and brainwashed that if you are not APC or PDP, nothing for you.

Honestly, (saying this with tears in my eyes early in the morning) Nigeria and Nigerians deserve better.

I know how passionate, determined and hardworking Nigerians can, and they deserve better life, better future, better govt, better leadership than this Titus pretending to be salmon.”
