A rather disturbing video that was shared online shows the moment a young looking guy identified simply as Akin, threw punches at a young lady supposedly his girlfriend, for refusing to open her phone for him.

The shirtless young man, who many perceived to be a teenager, is seen hitting the young lady while asking her to open her phone for him. He continues to hit her more as she refuses to grant his request.

The individual who recorded the moment, rather than stop the ongoing assault, is heard asking the young man to stop hitting the lady as he could possibly injure her.

A young Nigerian man has taken to social media to share his opinion about women who patiently stick with their man while he’s still struggling financially.

The man in a video shared on social media averred that what a man needs in his hustling stage is a hustling woman and not a patient woman.

According to him, a woman should also work to achieve her dreams rather than just stay with a man with the mindset that she is patiently waiting for him to become successful.

Speaking further, he questioned ladies who praise themselves for sticking with a man who’s struggling and wondered if they are not also interested in working hard to have the life they so much desire.

Meanwhile, a Lady has taken to her social media page to advise that it is often dangerous when a woman marries down (financially) because men’s ego are fragile and in most cases, their insecurities would cause more harm than good.

According to the lady, she ignored her relatives’ advice and warnings and went ahead to marry a man she earns more than but like her family had predicted, it was a wrong decision.

She revealed that only 6 months in, she said the man wanted her to fund his projects and expected her to give him loans. She also said he took offense because she wanted him to double his career steps rather than live off her.

She added that abuse started then and when she chose she couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave, he employed emotional blackmail.

A young Unilag graduate has taken to social media to share what she deemed as a testimony as regards her education.

According to Joy, she gained admission into the University of Lagos when she was suffering from Avascular Necrosis of the hipbone as a result of Sickle cell complications.

The Doctors told her she could never walk on her own until she had a hip replacement sugery.

She detailed how she struggled to keep up with school and also meet her Doctor’s appointment.

Joy, at one point, changed her course of study to a less stressful one but thankfully today, she’s now a proud First Class Degree holder.

Entering Unilag with 6 Legs and Graduating with my 2 Legs will forever be a Testimony to me and my family….

I got admission into Unilag when I had a Sickle Cell complication- Avascular Necrosis of the hipbone. My doctors said I could never walk on my own until I have a hip replacement surgery on both hips. Hence they moved me from using crutches to using a walking frame.

Throughout my 100level, I would walk to class and lab practicals with the walking frame, in pain and in shame. I can’t even take a cab because the frame was heavy and the cab men dint have the patience to wait for the process of folding it… etc

It took a toll on me socially, mentally and physically. Other students would stare at me on the road. Some got close to offer help, and even became friends in the long run. Some just stared and walked past.

It was a struggle. Battling with sickle cell and having to study in Unilag was an extreme sport. The constant stress had a huge effect on my health. It was so bad that I had to change my course of study in my second year to a less stressful one

I have been in and out of the hospitals so many times for sickle cell crisis. Unilag medical center was almost like my second home at some point. The pain just springs up from nowhere and there were times I had to be rushed at midnight from the hostel to the medical center

I remember writing my 100level exams on the hospital bed! Heck I wrote almost every exam at the hospital. Writing lab reports and doing my assignments there sometimes too. I made up my made up my mind to stop using crotches even if it will take me to limp and feel the pain

I am thankful for a few of friends and most importantly, my MOM and sisters, who constantly remind me to take care of myself, take my drugs, drink plenty of water, avoid stress and cold. Lol. People always wondered why I carried big handbags everywhere.

I couldn’t go anywhere without at least two bottles of water, a jacket and socks. The scars on my body are as a result of allergic reactions to an injection they give me during pain crisis. Imagine having to choose between having a flawless skin or being relieved of pain

I am most grateful to almighty God for seeing me through my degree. It could only be him. In all of these, i graduated from the University of Lagos with a FIRST CLASS DEGREE

A Nigerian man had taken to his Twitter handle to give marital advised but he was ‘cooked’ by other members of the micro-blogging platform.

Dr Feruke seemingly complimented his wife in an unorthodox way and he was dragged by other Twitter users who felt he embarrassed his wife.

Dr Feruke’s tweet read ;

Dr Feruke’s words were interpreted as calling his wife “ugly” or “not so good looking” when he met her and for that reason he was criticized.
