Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has reacted to a report of being behind the breakup of her colleague, Empress Njamah and singer, Timaya.

It can be recalled that Empress dated the singer at the early years of his career, however, the relationship ended on grounds of alleged infidelity.

Empress had accused the “cold outside” crooner of cheating on her with different women, including a popular actress that comes to his house regularly.

Although it’s been years since they broke up and the duo have both moved on with their lives, a controversial blogger brought up the issue again and accused Uche Ogbodo of causing their breakup.

Reacting to this in a video she shared on her Instagram page on February 11, 2022, Uche Ogbodo asserted that she had nothing to do with their breakup, and dared the blogger to provide proof of the allegation.

She captioned the post,

Veteran actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has sparked mixed reactions on social media after she announced admission into the university of witchcraft.

In a video she shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, February 12, the thespian listed some of the courses that would be taught in the university and told interested candidates to get the admission form.

However, it is presumed that she was highlighting some of the depravities in the Nigerian society including infidelity, homosexuality, ritual killings and others.

Speaking in the video, Eucharia said,

“Admission!! Admission!! Admission!! This is a notice to the general public that the University of witchcraft is now open for new students.

Some of the courses for study will be:

Research Methodology – For snatching your colleague’s husband or wife (309), For Understanding the principles and psychology of homosexuality or lesbianism, bisexuality, use of Kanyamata, Yahoo Plus, leaking of your sex tapes, calling the phone numbers of your church members instead of preaching the gospel, pretending to be a Christian in church but being Oloshos on social media (419).

And please if you have not submitted your project topic on the topic: “How to beat your wife mercilessly even if she’s the bread winner, how to cheat on her, how not to pay your children’s school fees and pretend that men are promiscuous by nature”, you will not graduate.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has reacted after the House of Representatives blamed Nollywood for the rising cases of ritual killings in Nigeria.

The House of Reps, at the plenary on Wednesday, February 9, had claimed that the Nigerian movie industry plays a major role in the surge in ritual killing cases, and called for the declaration of a state of emergency to address the menace.

Reacting to this, Yul took to his Instagram story to state that poverty and hunger should be blamed, not Nollywood. According to him, Nollywood only portrays things that are already happening in the society.

He further advised the Federal Government to fix the country and ritual killings will be a thing of the past.

He wrote: “From when I was a kid in the eighties, I started hearing about ritual killing in Nigeria. Then, there was no Nollywood. Hunger and poverty make people to do crime. No, be Nollywood cause am. Nollywood is only showing what happens in society. Nigerians are wallowing in extreme poverty. A hungry man is an angry man.

A friend of Mubarak Sulaiman, who was killed during the robbery attack in Ibadan on Thursday, February 10, said the deceased had premonition of his death.

Sulaiman, a trained biomedical scientist, Arabic Language tutor, consultant, and coach, was hit by a stray bullet fired by the robbers who killed two police officers, two civilians and carted away millions of Naira from a bullion van in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

While families and friends have taken to social media to mourn the death of their beloved, one of his friends, Akinkunmi Akinpelu, in a post shared on his Facebook said Sulaiman might have had a premonition of his death.

He shared a screenshot of the last conversation he had with Sulaiman, where he requested to make payment for a service immediately stating that he may not be alive the next day.

Nollywood actress and disc jockey, Dorcas Shola Fapson, has revealed that she has recovered her stolen car.

Recall that the actress took to social media media months ago to cry out after her driver identified as Muhammad Adamu, allegedly absconded with her Range Rover.

According to her, the car was stolen on the evening of her birthday while she was preparing for her big day with family and friends.

Giving an update on the car, Dorcas revealed the driver gave it to someone to sell for him in the North but the person then stole the car from him and went to Niger state to sell it.

She said the car has now been retrieved from Niger by the police.

A popular Ugandan TV presenter, Casmir Mukisa a.k.a MC Casmir, has been caught red-handed sleeping with a married woman in his house.

A video circulating online captures the moment after they were nabbed in his bedroom by some police detectives. In the trending video, Mc Casmir is seen in handcuffs which he covered with his jacket, begging for forgiveness from a man said to be the husband of the woman he was cheating with.

While being interrogated, one of the men asked if he had sex with the woman on the bed, and he responded in the positive and pleaded for them to forgive him.

According to local news platforms in Uganda, the woman identified simply as Trice, said she decided to sleep with MC Casmir because her husband doesn’t satisfy her in bed.

Meanwhile, the media personality has now threatened to get justice against the police officers who arrested him and the man who recorded the incident.

The lady identified as @Hillybaby4 took to the platform to seek financial help from well-meaning Nigerians for her dad’s surgery, which she said would cost N2 million naira.

She shared a photo of her ailing dad’s swollen face and said he needed the surgery urgently.

When help wasn’t forthcoming, despite tagging several Nigerian celebrities on the post, the lady revealed that she and her siblings were considering taking out a loan, but didn’t know how they would be able to pay the money back.

In an updated tweet, @Hillbaby4 revealed that Mavin boss, Don Jazzy sent her N1.2 million to complete the eight hundred thousand naira which they were able to gather.

After he sent the money, Don Jazzy further melted the hearts of many after he expressed regret for the money’s late arrival and wished her dad a quick recovery.

Showing their gratitude to Don Jazzy, the family made an appreciation video and posted it on Twitter.

A Texas man who had been sleeping with his sister, has reportedly killed her after finding out she had sex with another man.

The 32-year-od man, identified as Jose Manuel Guzman, allegedly beat her to death with a baseball bat in their home in Canutillo, the El Paso County District Attorney told the El Paso Times.

Following interrogation, the prosecutors discovered that the suspect who is originally from Guatemala but not a US citizen, recently found out that he had a sister in Guatemala. They were said to have met up and allegedly started having sex with eachother.

Fast forward to recent events, Guzman reportedly lost his cool after discovering that his sister slept with a male friend who spent the night at their home.

He was said to have attacked her with a “massage instrument” and a bat. Then he tried to clean up the blood with a mop but fled when he heard the police coming, The Times reports.

It was gathered that he was eventually arrested and charged with murder. He is currently in prison on a $1 million bond.

Tragedy was averted on Friday, February 11, as a yet-to-be-identified driver narrowly escaped death after his car skidded off the highway and fell into the Jabi Lake in Abuja.

According to reports, the car swerved off the Shehu Yaradua Highway into the lake.

A video from the scene shows fishermen in boats at the site where the car landed.

There was no causality, and operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) were said to have arrived on the scene in time.

In other news, a three-year-old girl was reportedly brutalized by her teacher in a Lagos school because she couldn’t recite the English alphabet.

A Twitter user named @WakaWakaTailor, who claimed the young girl is his niece, said when the girl’s mother confronted the teacher, she admitted to giving the little girl 24 strokes of cane.

He also stated that after the incident was reported to the proprietor he accused the girl’s mum of trying to bring down his school.

“This is my 2 year old niece that was flogged mercilessly bcos she couldn’t recite the English alphabets. When my sister, the mother confronted the teacher, she boasted that it wasn’t only the girl that was flogged but others were also flogged 24 strokes each (children of below 3 years o). And that she will flog them that this one is just testing.

My sister also told me that one of her child came back the other day bleeding from the nose. A fraudster, Richard Dexter, has been sentenced to over four years in jail after duping a millionaire he met on Tinder out of £150,000.

The 38-year-old conman reportedly conned Middle East-based executive, Amrita Sebastian, into sending him £141,500 in a series of payments after requesting for money to invest in biopharmaceutical technology.

He had claimed to be a successful businessman in the pharmaceutical industry and was on the verge of a “big windfall”.

Dexter, who is “charming, well-educated and well-dressed”, claimed he had over £4.2 million tied up in his investment account, however an investigation showed that he was lying and the said account which belongs to his friend, had only 37 pence in it.

He also claimed international companies – 3M and Pall Corp were interested in a tech equipment he had patents for and were willing to sign a deal worth almost £12 million for it. However, his claim was proven false again as the two companies say they were never in contact with him.

He also claimed he needed capital to fund the production of a piece of scientific equipment – a ‘Bioreactor Paddle’. He further told his victim that she had nothing to lose by giving him the money because he would pay her £100,000 as interest.

However, he is said to have spent the money he recieved from his victim lavishly and paid £15,000 to a classic car company.

The father of two has now been sentenced to four years and six months in jail and a latter date was fixed to determine how he will pay back her money.

A three-year-old girl was reportedly brutalized by her teacher in a Lagos school because she couldn’t recite the English alphabet.

A Twitter user named @WakaWakaTailor, who claimed the young girl is his niece, said when the girl’s mother confronted the teacher, she admitted to giving the little girl 24 strokes of cane.

He also stated that after the incident was reported to the proprietor he accused the girl’s mum of trying to bring down his school.

“This is my 2 year old niece that was flogged mercilessly bcos she couldn’t recite the English alphabets. When my sister, the mother confronted the teacher, she boasted that it wasn’t only the girl that was flogged but others were also flogged 24 strokes each (children of below 3 years o). And that she will flog them that this one is just testing.

My sister also told me that one of her child came back the other day bleeding from the nose. Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey and billionaire heiress, DJ Cuppy, has finally reached out to her long-term admirer on Twitter, Asiwaju Lerry.

The young man has never passed off an opportunity to express his interest in the singer, and has been shooting his shot at her for months.

Well, DJ Cuppy has now reciprocated his advances by sending a love letter to him on the popular micro-blogging platform.

In the short letter, DJ Cuppy asked him to her Valentine and asked him to go on a virtual date with her on Valentine’s day. According to her, the date would be online because Lerry is in Ibadan, Oyo state while she is in Oxford, London.
