Nigerian author and public speaker, Japheth Omojuwa, has said that there is nothing wrong in parents seeing their children as their retirement plan.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, February 22, the social commentator said it’s okay for parents to see their children as their retirement plan because they sacrifice a lot for their children’s success.
“There is NOTHING wrong in your parents seeing you as their retirement plan. And some of you had better not forget the homes you came from just for twitter banter. Don’t get carried away. They sacrificed everything for your success. You are their retirement plan.” He wrote.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Blogger and fashion expert, Noble Igwe, opined that Parents should stop using their children as a retirement plan as the pressure is becoming too much.

Veteran actress, Georgina Onuoha, has called out her sister’s husband for allegedly dumping her after 25 years of marriage to marry a younger woman.
The thespian took to her Instagram page on Tuesday, February 23, to confirm the report of her sister’s husband remarriage shared online by blogger, SDK.
According to Georgina, her sister and her estranged husband have been married for 25 years and the union produced five children.

A student of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Jefferson Ndoma, has stirred reactions after he shared a slideshow of how he transitioned from being a regular male to a crossdresser.

A Nigerian woman, identified as Emilia Phillips, has reportedly died in a tragic house fire alongside her three children.
It was gathered that the sad incident occurred on Monday, February 21, after fire broke out in their Kaduna home at midnight.
The deceased widow, her three children and her niece were reportedly asleep when the fire engulfed their home and burnt them to death.
Her husband, who was identified as Sunday Philip, is said to have slumped and died in August 2021.
Taking to Facebook to mourn the deceased family, an acquittance named Confidence Shammah wrote,

A Nigerian clergyman, Mathew Oladapo, has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for allegedly raping a 19-year-old member of his church.
It was gathered that Oladapo, the pastor in charge of Life and Power Bible Church Ogijo, allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of the church member during a deliverance session at the church.
He told the victim he saw a vision that she is having a spiritual husband which she needs to be delivered of. According to the victim, the pastor told her she will undergo three nights of fasting and prayer in the church for total deliverance. He also asked her to come to the church with 1,000 naira notes and anointing oil.
The victim told the police that on the first night of the fasting and prayer, she was taken to a room within the church where the pastor ordered her to pull off her clothes and undies and lay down on a piece of cloth on the floor which she obeyed. While lying on the floor, the pastor started rubbing the anointing oil on her body and inserted his finger into her private part. When she protested, the pastor pinned her down, covered her mouth and forcefully had sex with her with the claim that it is the only way to break bond between her and the spirit husband.
Oladapo was arrested and detained after the victim lodged a complain against him at the Ogijo Police divisional headquarters. Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but claimed to have been overwhelmed by a spirit.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident said the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
A UK-based Nigerian woman, Olabisi Ekwueme Ajai, has advised women to stay away from other men if they are getting married.
Olabisi, a women’s liberation and empowerment advocate, gave this advise while reacting to a private message she received from a follower who said she is pregnant for another man barely two months to her wedding.
According to her, the rate at which some first born children are turning out to be illegitimate children of their fathers is ridiculously high.
“The rate of first born children being ‘illegitimate’ children of the husband of the mother is unfairly high in my opinion.
“Dear women, if you are getting married, kindly stay away from other men! Would you want your son to be dealt with thus?”

Ezekiel Atang, the General Overseer of God’s House of Refuge, Uyo, Akwa Ibom, has passed away three weeks to his 50th birthday.
The report of his death was confirmed by popular clergyman and relationship coach, Kingsley Okonkwo, who described him as his “partner in family life mandate”.
Pastor Atang was slated to celebrate his 50th birthday on Monday, March 14th, and had sent out initiations to his friends and family before his untimely death.
The cause of his death was however not disclosed.

A video that found its way to the web space captured the moment the reality star tried to greet the singer, who was in the company of his crew, but the self-styled African giant completely ignored him.
The ‘selense’ crooner walked up to where Burna and his crew members were standing and expressed his desire to meet Burna to one of them. However, it appears Burna didn’t want to meet with White Money, so his bouncer stopped White before he could get too close.
After a series of futile tries, White gave up. He sipped his drink and stylishly left the scene.

The father of two thanked God for the success he has achieved so far, while narrating a recent experience with one of his baby mamas.
Recall that the Zazu Zeh star, in an interview sometime ago, disclosed that he has two sons with different mothers.
Sharing his recent encounter with the baby mana who left him when he was broke, Portable revealed that now that he’s wealthy and famous, she’s back begging him to take her and the child back.
He also disclosed that the lady didn’t only leave with their child at the time, she also got him arrested.
Sharing a video of himself and the child, he wrote, “Thank God oooh OGO Oluwa Omo Badmus Forever MY ZAzuu”.

Portable’s baby mama, Feranmi Ewatomi, went all out to ensure that her baby daddy enjoyed the day. In the heartwarming video now serving rounds online, the Zazu Zeh star was ushered into a room decorated with balloons, candles and rose petals.
Ewatomi also hired her lover’s favorite music band to perform for him and the gifts she had gotten for him were arranged on the bed.

Social media commentator and media personality, Daddy Freeze, has tackled a follower who slid into his DM on Instagram to ask for financial assistance.
Freeze shared a screenshot of their conversation on his Instagram and asked for people’s opinion on his response. In the chat, the follower had requested for money to buy a flight ticket because his visa had almost expired.
“Good evening sir, please sir I need your financial assistance to get a flight ticket before my visa expires. God bless you sir,” he wrote.
Responding, the controversial media personality pointed out that the follower has been sending him posters about a dry fast, and told him to ask the people he is on the fast with to help him instead.
“You are sending me advert for dry fast. Those people drying the fast with you should render financial assistance. Stay blessed,” he wrote.

The new parents dedicated the triplets – two girls and a boy – at the Assemblies of God Church located in Ojodu, Lagos state, on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
The church took to their official Facebook page to share the testimony with their followers.
“AMAZING TESTIMONY @ AGC OJODU. After 25 Years of waiting, the family of Deacon & Mrs.Nnamdi Nwankwo today dedicated their triplets… What a mighty God we serve!!!” they wrote.
