A Nigerian content creator, identified as Udeze Christian was seen having a good time inside a moving BRT bus in Lagos with a heavy plate of mouthwatering Eba and Egusi soup.
The gentleman who obviously carried out the action as a social experiment to see how passengers in the bus would react to what he was doing, is videoed placing a tray of Eba and Egusi in his front and having a swell time while the commercial bus conveyed passengers to their respective destinations.
In the video, some can be heard asking him why he couldn’t wait to get home before deciding to have his meal inside the bus while other people took out their phones to record the rather rare and unusual moment.

The decision of a Catholic priest to ban Igbo music from his church has led to a debate among Catholics of various tribes on social media.
The Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ewu-Owa Gberigbe in Ikorodu, Lagos, Rev. Fr. James Anelu, recently banned Igbo songs and choruses in his parish.
According to reports, during the second collection, the priest became enraged and abruptly interrupted a soul-lifting song, stating that Igbos could not continue to dominate other people in his Catholic church.
Although he has now been suspended, the issues has stirred diverse reactions from Catholics from various tribes on social media.
Reacting, Nigerian journalist, Moji Danisa supported the priest’s stance and accused Igbos of always trying to “colonise” anywhere they go.
Women’s rights activist, Laila St. Matthew-Daniel, also weighed in on the matter in defense of the suspended priest.
Laila St. Matthew-Daniel accused the Igbos of wanting to take over wherever they find themselves. In her opinion they are not different from “fanatical Muslims”.

“I have Igbos in my family so I speak in love. I also love the BEAT of the Igbo tune but makes no sense to me if I don’t understand what they are singing or shouting about. The issue I have is the need for the Igbos to be so domineering and wanting to take over a situation. It is in their DNA. Believe that.

YES – the war was a sad situation BUT HOW did it start? I don’t see any difference really in the Igbos and some faction of fanatical Muslims who go to a place and want to take over the place.
“Latin is the universal LANGUAGE of the Catholic Church – so people should not go there. If they juxtapose English with it – then people would understand. I don’t think it is the language as such but a ‘take over’ attitude and behaviour. When I was coming back on a trip on Turkish Airlines, it was horrible most of the time. The LOUD banter in the Igbo language was grating. The Yorubas also do same but not as much.

A Nigerian pastor, Prophet Isaiah Wealth, has berated people who say that a man and a woman are equal in a home.
During a recent sermon in his church, the prophet declared that the man is the head of the home, just as God is the head of the church.

A Nigerian man has reportedly been abducted and two of his aides killed after gunmen attacked his car while entering his house in Auchi, Edo state.
According to a Nigerian lawyer, Abdul Mahmud, who shared the unfortunate incident on Twitter, the man was taken away at the gate of his house, while his driver and security guard were killed.
Mahmud noted that the abducted man is his brother-in-law.
Sharing a video showing one of the aides who was attacked by the gunmen, Mahmud wrote,

A video showing a fuel attendant in Lagos dispensing what looks to be tainted petrol from a pump has sparked outrage on social media.
The video is currently making the rounds online and has stirred up reactions even as the location of the fuel station in Lagos has yet to be ascertained.
Some parts of the country are currently experiencing fuel scarcity as some fuel stations have been shut down over reports that they have been supplied with adulterated fuel.

This comes some days after, Instagram skit maker, Ashmusy, called out a popular filling station in Lagos for allegedly selling water as fuel to unsuspecting customers.
The comedian, in a series of videos she shared on social media expressing her displeasure, narrated how her car broke down in the middle of the road after buying fuel from the filling station.

The yet-to-be identified pair were spotted in the now viral video caressing each other on a busy road.

A Nigerian man has narrated his experience with his girlfriend who relocated to the UK when he was still in first year of medical school.
He shared this while reacting to a viral tweet of a lady who disclosed that she left a man she was dating in Finland to pursue her PhD in Canada. According to her, if the man wanted the relationship to continue, he should find a way to get to Canada on his own.
Reacting, the man with Twitter handle @divinedarling, recounted his personal experience with his girlfriend and how he supported her to pursue her dream at the expense of their relationship.
According to him, they didn’t see physically for seven years but are now happily married with children. He went on to encourage people to encourage their significant other to pursue purpose and accomplish their dreams.

She never came back and hasn’t come back to Nigeria since then. I never travelled out until 7yrs later after my internship. Today, I am married to that same lady. And we are blessed with children.
Marriage should be a union of purpose and vision. Each should encourage the other to pursue their dreams and accomplish his or her purpose.
Guess what; from my second year, I never bought clothes or phones for my self. She was sending clothes and designers perfumes, newest Nokia phones each year, while I was sending food stuffs. She was calling almost on daily basis, on normal call. She got me my first laptop.”
Following questions from netizens about how they handled their sexual urge during their long distance relationship, the man hinted that he married his wife as a virgin and she didn’t sleep with anyone while she was away.
Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has taken to Twitter to lament about the lack of air conditioners at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.
The entrepreneur who just arrived the country from her vacation in Europe, said she was dripping in sweat at the airport.
According to her, it’s very sad that airport officials have to work under that condition, which probably explains them always transferring their anger and frustration on travelers.
In a series of tweets, she wrote,
“Touch down Lagos Nigeria and the heat at the airport is insane, why will the A/C at arrivals not work??? The fans blowing hot air and the officers having to work under such circumstances is SAD. What a country
I’m standing at arrivals dripping in sweat and all I can think is the officers in the box who have to endure this daily. Like we have all just accepted this as normal cos we go into our cars with A/C’a after but these people who work here under such harsh conditions are human too
No wonder they take out their anger and impatience on travelers. You enter Nigeria and pick up stress. Yuck”
Popular Nigerian singer, Omawumi also known as Omawonder, has opened up on how being shamed over her looks affected her as a child.
Taking to her official Instagram page, the singer revealed that it affected her self esteem so much that she had to do heavy makeup before she could go out.
According to her, now that she is older, she has grown to love and embrace her imperfections including her forehead, stretch marks and celluites.
Sharing a portrait of her head, the mum of one wrote,
“I was one of those kids they used to call ‘Hammer Headed’, ‘OGORstina’ and ‘Ekpengbe forehead’… Infact one of my aunt’s used to call me ‘Beauty’, she said she was using it to prophecy into my life that I will be pretty someday🤣… Well there was a time I allowed it get to me, there was a time that I couldn’t step out without being heavily decked up in makeup. I would do all manners of things to hide my flaws because I felt imperfect.
Now the only thing that has changed is that I’m madly in love with my imperfect me, with my ekpengbe forehead 🤣, with my knock knees, with my cellulites and stretch marks like map of Africa! I’m in love with my skin and everything within… And guess what? I can still decide to change or hide a flaw because that too is ok! what I won’t do is allow anybody’s perception of me direct the decisions I make for myself. I am Beautiful…You are beautiful too!”
