Popular Nigerian Entertainer, Richard Ayodeji Makun, otherwise known as AY, has taken to his social media page to appreciate his beautiful wife, Mabel Makun, for her sacrifice in bringing forth their second child to the world.
He shared an adorable compilation clip on his Instagram page and wrote ;
The word “sacrifice” should be a common theme when we think of motherhood. First our women/mothers sacrifice their bodies for nine months by putting on weight that feels unflattering and uncomfortable, losing their appetite for food they once enjoyed, not being able to have a glass of their favourite wine at will, and of course all the excruciating aches and pains that comes long before labour begins.
@realmabelmakun, no one knows our story in the last 13 years like we do. But I especially want to thank you for everything. Thank you for ignoring all the naysayers. Thank you for taking time off your numerous interior jobs at home and abroad to prepare for Ayomide, thank you for sacrificing all your endorsements/influencing opportunities in the last 1 year. Thank you for the sacrifice of your precious time, your energy, your sanity, your sense of identity and everything else that makes you the true queen that you are. More importantly, we thank God for the joy and beauty of motherhood that overwhelms all our challenges.

Big Brother Naija season 5 winner, Laycon has replied a Twitter user who had a thing to say about a shirtless photo he shared on the micro blogging platform.
The Twitter user with handle @zadeeaz, had questioned the idea behind the photo because it was not ‘giving’ what it was supposed to ‘give’. She had insinuated that the singer didn’t look sexy in the picture.
She tweeted,
“I don’t understand the concept.
Is he trying to form sexy or what?
Cous it’s not giving please”
Responding, the 27-year-old singer noted that he wasn’t trying to give the troll anything and accompanied it with a kissing and love emoji to possibly show that he didn’t take the comment to heart.

Nigerian singer, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has disclosed that he sometimes misses being single.
The ‘Kokomaster’ stated this after being unveiled as a judge on popular singing reality show, Nigerian Idol.
According to D’Banj, he decided to get married when he did because he had gotten to a point where he needed stability in his life and his bestfriend as a partner.
He however noted that although he is happy being married, he sometimes misses being a bachelor.
The 41-year-old singer said;
“It is very important for me when I say that I am so happy I got married for the right reason. There are reasons people do certain things and if one does it for the wrong reason, it would affect one. I got to a stage in my life when I needed to grow an empire and in order for one to do that, one has to be stable and have a best friend as a partner. One also has to be true to oneself.
I pray to God a lot and the Bible says, ‘He who finds a wife, finds a good thing’. I got married to my best friend, who knows and understands everything about me. Because of that, we could grow together. Yes, once in a while, one misses those days (of being a bachelor). But, I am happy because that is the difference between Dapo Oyebanjo and Dbanj, the Koko Master. Whenever I get on stage anywhere, I become the Koko Master. It (marriage) has not reduced the amount of kokolets (ladies) that flock around me and rush to the stage. However, one has to be committed to one person and that is what life is.”
D’Banj, who has never been a judge on a music reality show, also explained why he accepted to be a judge on Nigerian Idol.
“This is the first time I would be a judge (on a music reality show). I have done several things through the years but this is the first time I would be doing something like this.
“I accepted the offer because first, I am a Nigerian. Secondly, I think there is no better time than now because of the growth of the industry. The growth of the industry is such that it is important for us to embrace what God has given us. This is a journey we have been on for over a decade and we have been accepted globally. That is why it is important to ‘grow’ what is on the ground,” he said.
Talented Nigerian Singer and songwriter, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, is celebrating her first anniversary in the music industry.

The 19-year-old took to her social media page to share a video wherein she appreciated God, Don Jazzy and everybody that has supported her sound from the onset.
She captioned the video ;
A year !!! He wrote, “I just woke up now to a video of Wizkid and David hugging each other finally. Awon osinwin eniyan meji (Two crazy people.)
“After I have suffered for years trying to balance the relationship between both. Wizkid would say, ‘Your brother is hosting a show, won’t you support him?

“Today, I feel like the happiest person on earth and I feel like buying cows to just throw a big party.
“Now please you both should give us that collaboration that the world has been waiting for in 2022.

A Nigerian man, identified as Yaqub Ganiyu, has recounted his reaction after his wife, Muridia, told him their 14-year-old daughter isn’t his.
Yakubu, who has been with his wife for 17 years, shared this in a recent interview with Vanguard. According to the commercial motorcylist who resides in Lagos state, he is still in utter shock and disbelief.
The father of four revealed that his wife told him their old neighbour who has relocated to Germany is the biological father of their daughter.
Narrating how he met his wife to their current situation, Yakubu said,
“I met Muridia 17 years ago when she was an apprentice. I assisted her financially until she mastered the skill. Thereafter, we started dating and living together. I brought her to Lagos, from Otu Village, Oyo State, to set up a business for her.
We are blessed with four children, a daughter and three sons – aged 14, 8 and 4 years and three months respectively.
Initially, things went smoothly in the family while I was working as a truck operator. At a point, I lost that job. I started riding a motorcycle in order to put food on the table.
Recently, I noticed that my wife started behaving strangely. I kept calm to allow peace reign until she brought a Tecno-5 Phone home. When I asked where she got it from, she gave a flimsy reason. I also noticed she had been communicating with a man whose identity I did not know. I had to seize the phone.
About a month ago, she woke me up at midnight and told me that I was not the biological father of our 14-year-old daughter. She said her former boyfriend who lives in Germany is the biological father of the child. You won’t believe that this same man and I were once neighbors before he travelled abroad.
I fainted out of shock and disbelief, twice. It was neighbours that resuscitated me. What baffled me was that the man she claimed to be the biological father is a relative and an old friend of mine. His father has two wives, one of them is my aunt.
I later got to know that things were not going smoothly with him. When they enquired to know the cause spiritually, it was revealed that he had a child somewhere and that until he accepts the paternity of the child, there won’t be any solution to his issue.
Initially, I thought my wife was out of her senses. I contacted her family members to pray for her so that she could get well but I didn’t know she had other plans.
Two weeks ago, she reported the matter with So-Safe Corps at Abule-Iroko, Ogun State. I was arrested and detained by the Corps. Its officials ordered me to pick up my belongings and leave our one-room apartment.
’It did not end there, they ordered me to return the phone I seized to her and pay N5,000 weekly, for the family upkeep. I have been homeless since then. The attention of both families have been drawn to the matter but from all indications, Muridia’s family members are in support of her action. I have an aged mother and an elder brother who are not medically fit to intervene.
The man my wife claimed is the father of my daughter said I should stay far away from her or face the consequences, boasting that he has the financial muscle to deal with me. I used to have three motorcycles but sold them to enable me to fend for my family. The one I am currently using was bought on hire purchase.”
His wife, Muridia, also narrated her own side of the story in the interview with Vanguard which held in their one-room apartment on Matomi Street, Alagbado. She admitted that she was indeed pregnant for another man when she met Yakub.
Her words,
“When I discovered I was six weeks pregnant, I told Teslim about it but he sent me away and asked me to terminate it.
Luckily for me, Yaqub walked into my life and slept with me. A few weeks later, I told him I was pregnant for him, he accepted paternity and we pulled resources together to rent an apartment. Teslim and I were in the village while Yaqub was visiting from Lagos.
I am a hairdresser but our stay together had been hellish as Yaqub has no tangible source of income to fend for the family.
Several attempts to walk away from the marriage were unsuccessful as he tactically tied me down with pregnancy. This is the fourth rented apartment I have paid for but he always disrupts my chances of staying alone.
One day, I got a call from Teslim’s friend, who requested to know what happened to the pregnancy of 15 years ago, I did not give him any response.
I was in church one day when Teslim’s relative sent a Tecno-5 phone to me because mine was faulty. Teslim called me to say he was in Germany but that settling down maritally had been difficult. He told me that upon divination, he was told to go and claim the paternity of the baby he abandoned in order to have a settled life.
Two weeks ago, Yaqub and I had a quarrel in my shop. Neighbours intervened by contacting the So Safe Corps which effected his arrest.
My uncle and other members of my family are aware of this matter. There are moves to conduct a DNA test to ascertain the biological father of my daughter, Zainab” she said

According to Martinez, his ex is now happily married to another man.

Nigerian biggest superstars, Wizkid and Davido, ended a rumored long-standing rivalry last night as they were seen hugging and showing exchanging pleasantries at a club last night in Lagos.
Fans of both singers have also welcomed the new development and some are even asking them to hit the studio together and record a song.
However, in the midst of the euphoria, rapper Zlatan has caught some ‘stray shots’ and he’s currently trending on Twitter.
Zlatan was deemed to have taken sides in the rivalry and at one pointed, subtly shaded Wizkid.
According to some twitter users, Zlatan must be feeling stupid right now that they have reconciled and going forward he needs to learn from Olamide on the importance of staying neutral.

Nigerian life coach, Sola Adio, has replied a man who said no pastor deserves one’s first month salary in the name of first fruit.
The Twitter user with handle @AkwariCharles, had taken to the platform to tell people specifically Christians, to wise up on the topic of ‘first fruit’.
Reacting to the tweet, Sola Adio slammed the man for dictating how Christians should spend their money when they didn’t beg or borrow from him.
According to him, Christians don’t attack ‘unbelievers’ who squander their money recklessly, so they should also leave Christians alone to spend their money how they deem fit.
He wrote,
“Actually it’s my business what I do with my money so long I didn’t come to your house to beg for it. Leave people to spend their money the way they want. I won’t stop you if you want to blow yours on Allen Avenue babes. Freedom of choice, yea or nay?
“You unbelievers pay 1m Naira to musicians who will arrive 7 hours late and we didn’t stop you. You now want to tell us how to spend our own money that we didn’t beg or borrow from your family. Y’all must be bingeing on expired painkillers.
“I have never been worried about how you spend your money. You can pour it into the toilet if you want. Who cares? But if how we Christians spend ours gives you high blood pressure that you must tweet about it then our financial strength as a church must really be a threat to you.”

The thespian revealed he has had to deal with negative comments on social media because of his role in movies.
He, however, revealed in a exclusive interview with Saturday Beats revealed that the negative comments no longer bother him.
In his words,
“Many of our youths are not focused and they see the social media as a place to get back at some people.
“The most unfortunate thing is that they abuse the privilege they have. Even people who cannot speak before one now think they have the opportunity to rubbish one. However, those things don’t affect me because if one has got to a particular stage in life, there are people one should not respond to.
“Whenever anybody posts a comment that I don’t consider to be ‘worthy’, I go to the person’s page to check who they are following and who is following them. Imagine getting to such a page and finding out that the person has only five followers but is following over 10,000 people. Many of these people are irresponsible and their stock-in-trade is to make negative comments on social media. As for me, I don’t join issues with such people.
“Whether we like it or not, this is Africa where we respect seniority, especially when an elder or leader has not brought themselves to a point where they would be insulted. I guess some of these people were raised in places where they don’t know about cultural values.
“It is most unfortunate that even when one plays certain roles, some youths cannot distinguish between one and the character. Just because one acted as a criminal on TV, some persons see the actor as a criminal. Meanwhile, an actor has to be flexible. Acting as a ‘ritualist’ does not mean one is a ritualist in real life. Anyway, I see those who think that way as uneducated, uninformed and having complex problems. We need to redefine the word, ‘youth’, in Nigeria.
