Dowen College staff wear t-shirt with Sylvester’s face (Photos)
Dowen College staff have paid tribute to Sylvester Oromoni by wearing a T-shirt with the late 12-year-old’s face printed on it.
The school’s management also released a statement, saying the College is committed to justice and will keep cooperating with the relevant authorities to see that justice is served.

Good day everyone.
On behalf of the entire staff of Dowen College Lagos, we the management staff of the school wish to publicly commiserate with the family of our late beloved student, Slyvester Oromoni.
We are all deeply saddened by his passing. He was an energetic, fun loving and promising Child and he will be sorely missed. We pray that the Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear with this irreplaceable loss.
This unprecedented situation we find ourselves calls for restraint and understanding. A family has lost their dear son. The school has lost a precious student. We are distressed that a child sustained a leg injury and passed on a week later. We are as shocked as the rest of the world to see our lovely boy look so ill and in so much pain from the videos posted.
It is true that though he went home on the 23rd of November’ his family did call on the 29th to inform us that he said he was actually bullied by 5 senior students whose names he mentioned.
We confirm that we immediately started intemal investigations on the 30th but he passed on that same day. Sadly we had barely made any head way before the social media frenzy commenced.
We choose not to be side tracked but remain focused in our task to get to the bottom of the allegations made. We are cooperating with all relevant authorities and all the accused students have presented themselves to the authorlties. Justice will be done.
We understand the sentiments of the public but appeal for restraint as many lives including the lives of our students are affected.
All lives matter.
We are a school grounded in faith and discipline. We appreciate all those who have trusted and supported us and pray this trust will be revalidated.

Police arrest three suspects over children’s mysterious death inside SUV
Men of the Nigerian Police force have arrested three suspects in connection to the mysterious death of some children in Badagry area of Lagos State.
Earlier this week, eight children were recovered from a Honda Sport Utility Vehicle parked on Adelayo Street, in the Jah-Michael area, Badagry Expressway, Lagos State. According to prior reports, the kids were said to be playing inside the SUV when they mistakenly locked themselves in as efforts to unlock the door proved abortive.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu who addressed reporters on Tuesday December 7, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.
One of the suspects is the grandmother of a three-year-old child who also died in the unfortunate incident.
The arrest comes 24 hours after the State Police Command said it is investigating the death of the eight children.

Some months ago, the songstress finally addressed the heated altercation she had with colleague, Tiwa Savage at a salon in Lagos months ago.
In June of 2021, a video surfaced online showing Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay having a heated verbal altercation. Tiwa accused Seyi of having a “dirty and disgusting” spirit and she warned Seyi to stay clear off her path.
At the time Seyi stated that in her bid to make peace, she decided to go say “hi” to Tiwa when they met at the salon, and she responded well. However, she was shocked when Tiwa came to meet her some 20 minutes later and told her never to greet her in public anymore.
Speaking about the big fight in a chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Seyi stated that if not for time that has changed her, the fight would have turned out differently than it did.

Nollywood actress, Ngozi Chiemeke, shot dead in Delta State
A Nollywood actress identified as Ngozi Chiemeke, was fatally shot in Delta state.
The budding actress got killed at her POS shop on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, on Deeper Life Road, in Boji Boji, Owa, Ika North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports, her killers are still at large.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said an investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to arrest the perpetrators.

Lekki residents lament invasion of famished monkeys into their homes to steal food (WATCH)
Some residents in the Lekki area of Lagos State, have lamented the incessant invasions of famished monkeys in their homes as they beckon for help.
A video said to have been taken at Orchid road, Lekki, shows the hungry monkeys making their way into the kitchen and having a treat for themselves.
The voice who recorded the video decried the situation, noting that she placed a loaf of bread in her fridge, but in a space of a few minutes, the monkeys broke in and took a part of it.
According to the lady, the monkeys are from the Lekki Conversation Centre.
“Monkeys from the Lekki Conservation centre are invading our kitchens. We have been battling this issue for months now with no solution as the centre has refused to feed the monkeys and they now go into people’s houses in broad daylight to steal food. We’re tired and need help. Happened in Orchid road, Lekki, Lagos.”

Ojodu Grammar school: Identities of students crushed by truck revealed
The Ojodu Local Council Development Association has disclosed the identities of the students of the Ojodu Grammar School who were killed by a truck in the Ojodu area of Lagos State on Tuesday, December 7.
The students were returning home when the truck suffered brake failure and rammed into them.
In a statement released on Wednesday, titled ‘Events of fatal motor/pedestrian accident at Ojodu involving students’, Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Odunmbaku ‘Segun, claimed that two students died while 12 others were injured.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, two students were confirmed dead on the spot. The identity of the deceased is revealed below: 1. Adedoyin Adebayo; 2. Akpolebi Israel.
Asides from the two deceased, seven females and five males totaling 12 victims also sustained varying degrees of injuries” the statement reads in part

Yesterday, December 7, 2021, at about 02:15 pm, a DAF truck with Registration No. APP 438 YA driven by one ‘Bolaji Kabiru’ rammed into some pedestrians at Grammar School Bus Stop along Ogunnusi Road later identified as students of Bab Fafunwa Millennium School, Ojodu Junior Grammar School, Omole Junior High School.
Corpses of the dead students have been evacuated with the support of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps and were deposited at the Morgue of the Mainland Hospital, Yaba, for autopsy.
As of now, we can confirm that all the injured students are in stable conditions and are receiving medical attention at the following Hospitals,
• God’s Apple City Hospital, Ojodu Berger
• Royan Hospital, Aina Street Ojodu
• St. Michael Hospital, Ojodu
• Lagos State Emergency Hospital, Toll Gate, Ojota.The erring driver has been apprehended and is in police custody.
However, the angry students who were later joined by hoodlums set the accidented vehicle ablaze, vandalised the Ojodu Police Station, operational vehicles of the men of Nigeria Police Force, the Vehicle Inspection Service, and some private articulated vehicles along Ogunnusi road.
My heart is broken for the families and friends of students who lost their lives in this horrible accident. This is a devastating tragedy, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the horrible accident.
My heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families. May God grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. While I give assurances that justice will be done, we have also commenced proper examination and analysis of the survivors.
I implore us all to maintain the peace and remain calm, rather than take to wanton destruction of properties and facilities let us remember the bereaved families in prayer, allow the police to carry out a thorough investigation, and avoid seeking self-help.
I appeal that we respect the family’s privacy. There’s a need for calm at this trying time.”

The opponent’s campaign speech was later shared online. The young lad, named Moyosore, was elected Head Boy with 92 votes while the student whose campaign speech went viral, Jedidah, got 26 votes.
Jedidah was compensated with the Assistant Head Boy position.

Ned Nwoko recently took to his Instagram page to share the alleged truth behind his separation with his wife of 10-year mother of three of his kids.
Ned, in the statement he shared on his official Instagram page with over 400k followers, claimed that he ended his marriage with Laila because of her indecent conduct.
He gave a long list of things she did wrong which made their marriage degenerate to irreconcilable differences. According to him, the mother of three was seeing another one, abandoned their kids and went for plastic surgery without telling him.
In an apparent reaction to the allegations against her, Laila took to her Insta-stories to share a screenshot of Ned Nwoko’s chat threatening that she debunk the report of their divorce and delete her Instagram page.

Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has reacted after she was accused of using the whole Sylvester Oromoni’s incident to chase clout.
Doris, who has been using her social media platforms to demand justice for the 12-year-old who was allegedly tortured to death by his fellow student since the incident, recently staged a lone protest in front of the school where the unfortunate incident happened.
She shared video of herself crying in front of Dowen college as she demanded answers to her questions about what happened to the minor.

Big Brother Naija star, Oluwabusayo Abiri, popularly known as Khloe, has advised parents to take their kids for special prayers or deliverance.
The reality star gave this suggestion in reaction to recent happenings in the country, especially the tragic death of some school children and Sylvester Oromoni, who was bullied in school.
Khloe noted that the devil is on a rampage, hence parents with kids between ages 0 to 18 should be prayerful and take them for deliverance.
“with these things going on in Nigeria, kids maltreating kids, kids bullying kids, if you have a child from ages 0 to 18, everybody should just take their kids for cross over night, special prayers or deliverance if needed,” she said.

Nigerian music executive, Don Jazzy has reacted to a gay allegation levied against him by a controversial Instagram blogger.
The blogger, GistLover, had pointed accusing fingers at the Mavin Records Boss while alleging that some popular Nigerian entertainers are gay.
Gistlover wrote in part,

Sylvester Oromoni was allegedly tortured and beaten to death by a group of boys in the school for refusing to join their cult. The tragic incident has since sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for justice to be served.
In the early hours of today, December 8th, Doris staged a lone protest in front of the school, which has been sealed by the Lagos state government.

The skit maker who recently added a brand new Mercedes Benz to his garage, splashed millions of naira on a brand new car for his mum.
According to him, he feels fulfilled as he’s finally able to fulfill one of his promises to his mum, which is to get her a luxury car.
Sharing photos of his mum posing with her new car alongside a video of her taking her car for a spin, he wrote, “A new toy for mom … I promised you mom some things, and I’m still keeping them. # Gobblesmymom”.

Sammie had taken to Twitter to reveal that things has not been easy for him because he doesn’t know people in the industry, and he has to go the extra mile to get things done.
According to him, he is only surviving because of God, his team and fans, but he is still grateful.
He tweeted, “If I had some kind of favour or knew anyone in the industry b4 I got into BBN maybe things would be a lot easier for me but I have to really go out of my non-sociable personality to link some people to help me get stuffs done. everything about the industry is still new to me. Reality TV star, Maria Chike Benjamin, has disclosed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine in Ghana.
Taking to her Instastory, the BBNaija star said she is currently receiving treatment and would remain in Ghana till she fully recovers.
This is coming days after reports made rounds that she was detained in Ghana for breaking the country’s COVID-19 laws.
She wrote,
“My Heartbeats,
You were all concerned about me. Thank you so much for all your kind messages.
Unfortunately, I have tested positive to COVID-19 but I can reassure you I am doing really well. I initially had a negative result from Dubai less than 24 hours of coming into Ghana, upon arrival into Ghana I tested positive and was asked to quarantine, I got a different doctor that tested me negative again.
We had so many back and forth results of positives and negatives, but finally tested positive. Please do not take COVID for granted and don’t try to be as stubborn as myself always. I have been placed in the best possible care and receiving treatment. I will be in Ghana until I am fully recovered and tested negative.
I love you all and can not wait to get back to work.”
