Delta state governor’s aide, Ossai Ovie Success, has spoken against surrogacy without a known father.
This is coming after Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, revealed she welcomed a baby via surrogacy and an anonymous ‘sperm donor’, to avoid baby daddy drama.
In an apparent reaction, Ossai in a Facebook post stated that surrogacy without a known father is abnormal. According to him, every child needs a father and should be aware of where his father came from.
In his words,
“Surrogacy without a known father is Abnormal
A lot of things are going wrong in our society and we are celebrating it in public but condemning it in private .
I heard she gave birth through surrogate without a known father and people are congratulating her and making it look like she did the best thing.
No matter how wealthy you are as a mother , your child needs a father and should be aware of where his father came from. I am not against Surrogacy but I am against surrogacy without a known father. We must also be careful when we are into surrogacy.
Making it known to the general public will end up damaging the child reputation. So I see no reason why we should let the public known of such thing.”

The 12-year-old student died on Tuesday, November 30, after he was allegedly beaten and tortured by his seniors in school.
Dowen College Parents’ Forum has finally reacted to the tragic death of a 11-year-old student of the school, Sylvester Oromoni.
The forum in a statement signed by Aituaz Kola-Oladejo, Waheed Adeoye, Oluwaseun Bolanle Ajila, and Kingsley Kema Agu, and released on Tuesday, December 7, condoled with the family of the deceased and expressed deep sadness over the unfortunate incident that led to the death of the minor.
The parents said they will work more closely with the school (management/board), to ensure necessary measures are put in place to prevent a reoccurrence of the unfortunate incident.
“Dowen College Parents are startled and deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident that led to the death of Sylvester Oromoni. Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased and pray that God gives them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
As parents of Dowen college students, we are still in shock and could not come to terms with this incident and the accounts so far provided by the school, students, and the media.
We urge the school management team and other stakeholders (students and parents directly or indirectly mentioned) to fully cooperate with the authority in the ongoing investigation.
While we would have loved to bring Sylvester back if humanly possible, unravelling the cause of Sylvester’s death and bringing whoever was responsible or might have contributed in whatever way to book, will not only bring this unfortunate incident to a closure for the family, but this will also serve as a deterrent to others in all schools in Nigeria.
We therefore say justice for Sylvester, is justice for all. On our part as parents, we will work more closely with the school (management/board), to ensure necessary measures are put in place to prevent a reoccurrence of this unfortunate incident and stamp out bulling in any form from the school.
We therefore earnestly ask for a resolution that will bring some relief to the bereaved family, other parents, students of Dowen College and the public.
These should include a change of the school management and hostel teachers, installation of CCTV cameras in all strategic places and overhauling of the school security system.
The Parents’ Forum is organising a Candle Light event. Details of which are as follow: Wednesday, December 8, 6pm; Dowen College. The lighting of candles is to pay tribute to a life ‘passed’ and keeping the light burning signifies that the memory still lives on and burns bright.” The statement reads.

“What you are planning is evil and it is not good. Why are you gathering people and advising them to lie. I won’t be part of that lie, you need to stop now or the anger of God will catch up with you,” Onyebuchi said.
He added Ejiofor went too far and have crossed his boundaries with the threat to the life of Fufeyin and the threat of closing down or burning down Fufeyin’s church in warri. Lying, and manipulating others to threaten and blacklist prophet Jeremiah is not only evil but condemnable.
“If you are in need of help, go to the man of God to help you. Don’t blackmail him, his name and his church, look at how you’ve disgrace yourself” Onyebuchi warned.
The audio with Mathias Ezeaku Ejiofo voice telling people to lie about their location and coming out to threaten Fufeyin is manipulative, criminal, defamatory and Rob Matthias supposed reputation on the mud.

“I honestly don’t understand how a man will go to Shiloh to pray for a wife, unless he’s broke. I mean, how can a well-to-do young man who has never married before, doesn’t have a child or baby mama attend Shiloh and his number one prayer point is for God to give him a wife? How? This is even against elementary economics. laws of demand and supply in the mud. There are things that men don’t do,” he tweeted.

The mother of one of the accused students, Edward Brown, said to have tortured Sylvester to death has denied his involvement in the alleged attack.
The deceased, Sylvester Oromoni, was allegedly beaten and tortured to death by members of a cult group in his school for his refusal to join them. According to reports, Sylvester mentioned the names of his bullies before he died.
Ms Oluchi Sunday, mother of one of the accused, in a statement insisted that her son, Edward Brown is innocent and was in no way involved in the alleged attack.
According to her, her son, a day student of Dowen college, was not in the school premises the day the unfortunate incident happened.
“It has come to my attention that some individuals caused rumours to be peddled on social media platforms suggesting that my son Edward Brown is one of the students allegedly involved in the beating of the late Sylvester Oromoni Jr at a Dowen College hostel, which resulted in his untimely death.
To set the record straight, I wish to bring the following facts to the public notice, which demonstrate that such rumours are false, malicious and lack any basis whatsoever:
1. My son is a day student and has never been a boarder.
2. Because my son is a day student, he was not on the school premises at the time when the unfortunate incident occurred, precisely on the night of 21st November, 2021, during a weekend and so, could not have been in the hostel as alleged.
3. In a social media post made on 1st November 2021, on the deceased’s elder brother’s Instagram page, “greatoromonii”, five names, including Dowen College were mentioned before the conclusion: “… just know he called your names before he died”. My son’s name was not among those names.
As a result of these false and malicious rumours, my son and I have been under constant attack via social media, with insults and threats being hurled at us daily. This has caused us much emotional distress and mental trauma.
Therefore, on behalf of myself and my son, Edward Brown, I hereby demand that managers of social media and other platforms where the false and libellous rumours are circulating, immediately retract the offending posts and tender a public apology to us.
We commiserate with the Oromini family for the tragic loss of Sylvester Oromini Jr and pray for the repose of his soul.

Her words,
“If you don’t have a skin condition, you have no reason not to smell nice.

Elizabeth’s reaction comes in light of the investigation on the death of Sylvester who was beaten to death by his peers over refusal to join their cult.
Dowen College, Lekki is owned by parents of female singer, Lami Phillips, who is currently the Director of Students and External Affairs of the school.
According to Elizabeth Jack-Rich, Lami didn’t take care of the situation with concerns as a mother, but rather she and the entire institution took it with frivolity.
She further threatened to go after the school for trying to cover up the truth which is believed to be a common trait of the educational institution.

Dr. Pengking’s tweet reads ;
It’s still shocking to me that 1 year after Bella Shmurda released ‘Cash App,’ a track openly encouraging, glorifying and promoting internet fraud, EFCC is still yet to arrest him or invite him for interrogation. Bawa is not yet serious with his job. When he is, we will know
Nollywood Actress, Ini Edo has been chided by a Nigerian writer for her choice of having her child through surrogacy.
Ini’s eggs were fertilized by a sperm donor but the writer feels Ini has made a big mistake taking that route.
The writer went on to add that it is a great thing to have a real father and everyone deserves one.
Read his epistle below ;
“Ini Edo HAS JUST CREATED A BIG PROBLEM FOR AN INNOCENT CHILD”…..
I like Ini Edo very much. If for nothing at all, I enjoyed watching her movies when I was growing up as a teenager.
She is a very beautiful woman. And she is talented as well and interpreted her movie roles beyond perfection, hence my likeness for her…..
I often won’t comment on the lifestyles of many Nigerian and Ghanaian celebrities because I feel they’ve every right to live as they please once they are not breaking any public laws or posing as enemies of the state…
But I am commenting on this particular issue because I saw so many of our youth praising her online for the wrong reason.
So to educate them, I have to explain certain things to them so they do not repeat such a big mistake like Ini Edo has just done…
I read in the news today that she (Ini Edo) has birthed a baby girl through surrogacy and she is very happy about that. Well, I am happy for her too as a fan…
Congratulations to her. But she committed a blunder I will like to point out to her….
I understand the plight of women who have tried everything possible to have their own children but cannot. It’s depressing and soul-crushing.
I always sympathize with them and encourage our men to treat such women with so much kindness because they need it to keep them truly alive.
To be barren in Africa is not easy. People will judge you from left and right without knowing how you truly feel as a woman who wants your own child or children.
Some of these women with such problems , in their quest to get a child by all means, try different things including surrogacy, especially those of them who are privileged or quite okay in life…
It’s not a bad thing to have a child through surrogacy if you’ve problems with your reproductive system or having an issue getting pregnant or, in a case where getting pregnant and giving birth poses a threat to your health…
But my only problem is that Ini Edo has created a big problem for this innocent baby when she grows up to understand how things work in life…
Of course, Ini Edo deserves to be happy, but let’s not forget that the innocent child deserves to be happy too, in the future when she grows up to understand what’s happening around her….
She birthing the baby through surrogacy is not the problem as I keep saying,
but her decision of using a random or an anonymous “donor sperm” is my problem with her. Yes, the Eggs are hers and so genetically the baby is her blood.
But who is the baby’s father? Where is he? From which family background? Is he a Ghanaian, Nigerian or a South African? What is his identity?
Who is her surrogate mother? Where is she? The woman that suffered to carry her nine months in her womb!…
These are very relevant questions Ini Edo and her friends might be overlooking, but this innocent child will ask these same questions some day when she needs fatherly love and care.
This baby will go through a lot of psychological problems and mental tortures looking for who her father is and the woman that carried her for nine months in her womb.
Do you think that it is easy to live without knowing your father in an African society?
If you grow up as a child and ask about your father, and you’re told that he’s dead, you’ll understand because you’ll see his pictures and his family…
But for Ini Edo to tell the child that “I don’t know your father. ‘It was an anonymous “donor sperm” with my egg that another woman carried for nine months for me’, will make the child the most miserable person on earth. She may even commit suicide if she is not strong emotionally….
Worse of it all, is if Ini Edo doesn’t live long enough to see this child grow up as an adult. Who will be her family? Ini Edo’s brothers and sisters? Too bad….
It’s not the best to have a child through surrogacy with a random or an anonymous “donor sperm”….
Ini Edo could’ve made her boyfriend or any man she admires donate his sperm for this baby since she’s not ready for marriage.
But to say that she doesn’t want any “baby daddy drama” that’s why she chose a random “donor sperm” is only showing her level of selfishness or childishness….
She doesn’t truly care about how the baby will feel when she grows up…..
She just cares about having a baby to please the society or to prove a useless point to people who don’t like her or people she doesn’t like. Too bad. I pity the innocent baby…
Other women who may want to have children this way should do with a man they like so that the child can also have and know their father….
It’s a great thing to have a father. And everyone deserves one…
