Given the buzz that Nigerian singer, Davido has made today, it appears that the entertainer and record label executive has billionaires in his circle of friends.

The first billionaire we witnessed bless Davido earlier today was none other than businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money who the singer didn’t disclose the amount he gifted him.

Up next was club owner and businessman, Obi Cubana who as well, Davido didn’t reveal the amount he was gifted by him but only acknowledged receival of the blessings.

A Twitter user has taken to the platform to drag popular Nigerian singer, Davido for asking his ‘true friends’ to send him N1m each.

The 30BG boss had in a post shared on his Insta-stories stated that he’s ready to reap from his good deeds since he has been the one uplifting others. He shared his account number on Twitter and asked his friends to bless him with N1m each.

Surprisingly, what started off as a pure cruise has yielded millions of naira for him in few hours. However, a young man on Twitter appears to have a problem with the game and has rebuked the music executive for it.

According to him, it’s degrading for Davido as an A-list artist to call his friends out asking them for money on social media. The Twitter user went on to state that Grammy Award winners, Burna Boy and Wizkid wouldn’t do such.

In his words,

“Davido should start acting like the A list celebrity he is, asking fans for money and calling out people to send you money on social media seems degrading to me. You can’t see Jay- Z, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Wizkid and Burna Boy pull stunts like that. Never!”

Today, 17th of November, 2021, will be recorded as the day Nigerian music sensation, Davido shook the internet and made millions of Naira rain on him.

What started off as a joke turned out to be a multimillion Naira making scheme as some hours ago, the singer asked his true “friends” to send him N1m to prove they’re true friends and so far so good, the singer has close to a hundred good friends.

While millions were being raked into his account, the singer was out and about and visited a mall where a random fan sighted him and decided to wade in on the giveaway that’s been buzzing on social media.

In a post shared on his Instastories, Davido’s crew members can be heard saying he just randomly met the fan at the mall and the said fan decided to give him his quota in cash.

In the video, the fan is heard saying he’ll give the singer $10k which is equivalent to N1.6m and right after he calculated the amount $10k is worth, the fan, who had a bundle of cash in his hands, counted it and gifted the singer right there and then.

Nigerians have called on popular Nigerian singers, Wizkid and Davido, to end their alleged beef after famous rappers, Drake and Kanye West, squashed their long-time beef.

The American and Canadian rappers had been at odds for years and threw lyrical shots at each other in the past. They have however decided to settle their differences and were seen together on Tuesday, November 14.

They met up at a Dave Chappelle comedy show in Toronto, Canada, and Kanye West shared a picture of them together on his Instagram page.

Drake also shared a video of Ye on his personal Instagram account as they partied at his mansion with Dave Chappelle.

The reconciliation is coming after Kanye West pleaded with Drake in a video to set their prides aside and end the quarrel.

The Donda star said in part, “I am making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake.

“I and Drake have taken shots at each other and it is time to put it to rest.”

Inviting Drake to perform with him on stage on Dec. 7, West added: “I believe this even will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”

The Ghanaian man who was confronted by a judge who he had trolled on Twitter in the past has been fired from his job.

The man, who has been identified as a Journalist named Albert, aka Bongo, was sacked after the confrontation video went viral on social media.

In the video, GHOne TV General Manager, Nana Aba Anamoah, who was one of the judges on the audition of a talent show had revealed that the young man is a notorious troll who had said hurtful things about her and other Ghanaian celebrities on Twitter. Watch here.

Well, in a new development, it was gathered that he has been fired by his boss.

However, his boss in a statement shared on social media stated that his decision to sack Bongo has nothing to do with the clash with Nana, but because he was underperforming at his job.

The statement read in part: “I felt perhaps he couldn’t handle the number of stories a day being given to him, so I told him, I would reduce the stories he would do a day, so he can meet targets and that means a reduction in salary.

“He pleaded that I give him November to prove his worth again and gave reasons why he had been underperforming. I agreed and said it’s a challenge then, if you don’t meet the targets again, you will be laid off.”

Burna Boy reacts to Lagos judicial panel report on Lekki Tollgate shooting

Singer and self styled African giant, Burna Boy has reacted to the Lagos judicial panel of inquiry report on the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

The independent body was set up by the Lagos state government to investigate the shooting and killings of peaceful unarmed EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020. The panel completed it’s findings and submitted a 309-page report with full name of victims of the massacre to the government on Monday, November 15, 2021.

The report indicted the Nigerian Army as well as men of the Nigerian Police Force, while confirming that indeed an massacre happened ot Lekki Tollgate on the said day.

Reacting to this, the popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy in a post shared on his Insta-stories threw a subtle shade at the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed over his initial comment as regards the October 20, 2020 incident.

“I just sleep wake up see say government nyash open far and wide today. You cannot clean innocent blood with Lie Mohammed”, he wrote.

An old chat between Instagram comedian, Cute Abiola and a friend days before he was reported missing has surfaced.

Recall that the popular Instagram skit maker, Ahmed Gafar otherwise known as Cute Abiola was declared missing by some of his friends and family members on Wednesday, November 16th.

According to a report from his family, Cute Abiola left his house for office at Navy Town at about 06:00am on the 15th November 2021 and got to the office at about 7:00am or thereafter.

Abiola’s colleague, Mr Macaroni also took to Twitter to raise alarm on his whereabout.

In a recent development, an old chat between Cute Abiola and a friend which took place days before he got missing has surfaced and raised concern.

In the chat the comedian who couldn’t answer his calls sent his friend a video of him on his uniform and explained that he’s on a hot seat.

It should also be noted that the Nigerian Navy has reacted to reports of him being missing.

The Navy Spokesperson, Commodore Suleman Dahun released a statement as regards the whereabout of the comedian.

“The attention of the Nigerian Navy has been drawn to an online newstory which claims that a naval personnel, OSCOMP Abdulgafar AA, who incidentally is a popular comedian known as Cute Abiola, has gone missing. The Nigerian Navy wishes to categorically debunk this false news report currently trending online.

OSCOMP Abdulgafar is currently under custody in his unit for breaching the Armed Forces Social Media Policy and refusal to obey particular orders. The Nigerian Navy wishes to avail itself this incident to remind its personnel to comply with the provisions of the Armed Forces Social Media Policy in their usage of social media platforms. The Policy, amongst others, is emplaced to protect their personal safety and security as well as the information integrity of the activities of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The lady had hopped on the ‘this is your man?’ trend and used a photo of the popular transvestite as the background.

James Brown has now reacted to the lady’s video which she obviously did for fun, and countered her claims of being her man.

The controversial crossdresser emphasized that he is not the lady’s man, but a fellow woman like her. According to him, they are both in the single ladies’ club ‘hustling’ for a man so she should get her facts right.

Nigerian Navy breaks silence on comedian, Cute Abiola’s whereabout after he was declared missing

The Nigerian Navy has reportedly confirmed that popular Instagram comedian, Cute Abiola is in its custody.

The skit maker and naval officer who was declared missing by some of his friends and family members on Wednesday, November 16th, is said to have been detained by the Nigerian Navy for violating its social media policy.

“The young man was found to have breached the social media policy while he was on leave. So he was recalled, asked to come back, but he refused until he completed his leave which is a disobedience to particular orders,” Navy spokesperson, Commodore Suleman Dahun, told The Gazette.

This is coming a year after the Nigerian Navy arrested him in April 2020 for celebrating his birthday by posing in his official uniform on social media.

It was gathered that he was arrested because his action isn’t expected of an officer and it may be deemed punishable with a very lengthy detention or dismissal from service.

A burn survivor, Obanye Francess has taken to social media to mark the 17th anniversary of the day her uncle’s wife doused her with acid.

Francess who’s now a successful biochemist was just 9 years old in 2004 when her uncle’s wife entered the room while she was sleeping and bathed her with a bucket of acid.

Recounting the incident which almost took her life and left her with lifetime scars, Obanye wrote,

“A day like today!! I cried till there was no more tears in my eyes. A day like today I felt pains that I won’t forget till I die. A day like today I asked so many questions that I am yet to get the answers till today!

On the 17th of November I started a journey!! This day took our my physical beauty but didn’t take away who I was. This day gave me scars that will always remind me!! Yes that this girl is really a strong girl . Today I am celebrating life

This is my 17th year of always smiling even when it hurts deep down me!! Even in my next life to come I will always choose me. Happy 17th year Anniversary to me and I can boldly say to myself, Hey girl you are a strong girl. 17-2004 to 17-2021”.
