Cristal is trending because the video she shared showed how her “caring and attentive” boyfriend named Jordan turned into an abuser and inflicted horrific injuries on her.

When the ‘going was good’ in their relationship, Cristal spoke about how much he’s changed her life and how talented and smart he is.

However, on November 24, an altercation occurred and he beat her up, leaving her with a bleeding nose and swollen eye.

Gateman apprehended while trying to sell boss’s N3million car for N350k in Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command arrested one Godswill Ezekiel Ugbe, a gateman, for trying to sell his employer’s car, estimated to cost N3 million for only about 10% of its worth.

The suspect got nabbed by the Anti-Kidnapping and Cultism Squad while he was driving the car to a buyer’s place along Atimbo/Akpabuyo Road.

According to a report by Vanguard, a security source said the Car, a Toyota Camry with Reg No: KT 114 LH, was recovered through intelligence-led policing by Dragon squad.

It was reported that while on patrol along Atimbo Akpabuyo road, the Dragon squad sighted a Toyota Camry which they suspected was stolen, on approaching the vehicle the driver zoomed off heading towards Bakassi where Dragon chased him and apprehended him.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Irene Ugbo, who confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, November 30, said,

“He is a gateman employed to safeguard a compound and some cars since the owner and his employer lives abroad, but he decided to try selling off one of the cars.

Unfortunately for him, men of the Anti Kidnapping and Cultism Squad, AKCS, on patrol suspected that the car was stolen and went after him, after his arrest they discovered he was trying to sell the car for a meagre N350,000, that car is about 3 million naira.

He has confessed to the crime and would be charged to court as soon as possible.”

A witness at the Usifo Ataga murder trial has shared new details on how his body was found on what was meant to be his birthday.

Rotimi Albert who introduced himself as a long-time schoolmate and family friend to the late Mr. Ataga, disclosed this while giving evidence as the fourth prosecution witness, before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos High Court, sitting at the annex of the Tafawa Balewa Square today November 30.

According to Robert, a mutual friend of theirs called him in the evening of June 16th and asked if he had seen or heard from the Super TV CEO, as no one had heard from him since Sunday (June 13th). The witness said he tried calling the deceased on phone on June 17, his birthday, but he didn’t pick the calls so he sent a WhatsApp message which delivered.

“I was surprised when he didn’t return my calls nor reply my messages. I started calling other friends to ask if anyone had seen him, even his siblings abroad called me to ask about Ataga’s whereabout. I told them I was also worried.

His wife and family were also looking for him because they were supposed to celebrate his birthday with him in Abuja,”.

“In the course of all these, we got a call that Usifo is deceased and in the mortuary. We, therefore, went to Panti police station, there we found out that the police had already visited the crime scene.

After going to the crime scene, the police told us to go to the mortuary to identify the body so we went and confirmed it was Usifo Ataga. At the mortuary, I observed that he was assaulted with multiple stab wounds on his neck, abdomen, his side and leg.

I also observed that his wrist had rope marks and deep indentations. That was how I got to know that my friend was deceased” Robert said

Armed robbers invade Nigerian journalist, Fejiro’s home with a POS machine

Nigerian investigative journalist, Fejiro Oliver, has narrated how he was robbed by armed robbers who invaded his home with POS machine.

Fejiro in a Facebook post revealed the armed men invaded his home in the early hours of Tuesday, November 30th and carted away all his valuables; TV, jewelries, phones and ATM cards.

According to him, the robbers came with POS machines which they used to withdraw all the money in his account after demanding for his pin at gun point.

Narrating the incident, he wrote,

“My home was robbed 2am Nigerian time today. All TVs taken, golden rings and jewelries not spared, ATMs forcefully taken and POS used to move cash after demanding for their pin at gun point and still took all withdrawn cash at home. Phones carted away and many more.

“In all of this, not a single hurt. One thing is certain, all the armed robbers will be caught. I’m not the cause of their misfortune they have and will continually have.

“Why am I posting this? Incase you call me or ask me for money and I don’t answer you, just know that I have things to replace painfully and body dey pepper me like mad. Go and meet Gov. Okowa or Buhari if it’s urgent. Zuwanike dey my eyes now.”

Nigerian musician Folarin Falana better known as Falz and popular skit maker, Debo Adebayo AKA Mr. Marcaroni both rejected the invitation of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to a peace walk for “the healing of Lagos”.

The state governor during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon said as part of the moves to heal the state following the October 20, 2020, Lekki tollgate shooting, a peace walk which he would participate in would be organized and he invited the likes of Folarin Falana (Falz), Debo Adebayo (Mr. Marcaroni), Dele Farotimi, Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Adedotun (Just Detoun), Seun Kuti, Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and Commander of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Yinka Egbeyemi and others to join him in the “historic march for our dear Lagos.”

In response to the invitation, Mr. Marcaroni said genuine peacemaking should first begin by implementing the recommendations of the panel.

Falz, on his part, described the ‘walk of peace’ as a joke and a very disrespectful one at that.

Mr Macaroni wrote,

“I humbly decline the invitation of Mr Governor. The Government themselves set up a panel. The panel has made recommendations.

I believe that genuine peacemaking will begin by first implementing the recommendations of the panel. Then we can begin to trust the government.

Mr Governor has said it in his speech that to be a Centre of Excellence, we have to be a Center of Truth. Before there can be healing, the government has to be sincere. There must be acceptance of wrongdoings and willingness to correct them.

The last walk wey I do, na so dem bundle me, strip me naked, brutalize and dehumanize me. I no carry gun, I no carry weapon. As dem dey beat me, dem dey ask why I dey disturb Mr Governor. Now dem say make I come do walk. For another round of beating??

Abeg o. If I wan lose weight, I go go gym. Same peaceful Walk wey Nigerian Youths do wey dem kill them? Some are still in prison.. Some have gone into hiding. Their lives no longer theirs all because we decided to walk against police brutality.”

Falz on his part tweeted,

“This suggestion of a ‘walk of peace’ sounds like a joke and a very disrespectful one at that. People were murdered in cold blood and absolutely no iota of justice has been served more than a year after. How can there be peace without justice?

In this same speech, you said ‘To be a smart city, we first must be a just one. Remember the young Nigerians that had their lives snatched away by weapons wielded by our own Armed Forces? You want to sweep that under the carpet? Is that how to establish a just city? #ENDSARS

Young Nigerians, till today, are still being constantly harassed and extorted by police officers!! You were awfully quiet about that. Or are you not aware? #ENDSARS.”

Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji has spoken on his romantic relationship with colleague, Adebimpe Oyebade, better known as ‘Mo Bimpe’.

In an interview with Tribune, the thespian, who is set to marry his fiancée, Mo Bimpe, revealed that they only recently began dating.

According to him, contrary to speculations that he and his colleague have been in a relationship for quite a long time, they were platonic friends and just started dating in March this year.

Nigerian student expelled from OAU in his final semester, starts again and graduates with first class from FUTA

A Nigerian student, Timilehin Abayomi, has taken to social media to share his success story after graduating with a first class degree from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA.

In a lengthy post he shared on LinkedIn, Timilehin revealed that in 2014 he failed after 5 years in OAU and was expelled from the university.

According to him, he and his family went through a tough time which included exile from home and one attempted suicide. He however resolved to start over again in FUTA.

In a fortunate turn of events, Timilehin received a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying with First Class Honours and was placed in the top 5% of the university’s graduating class few days ago.

Listing his achievements in FUTA, he wrote,

“« I co-founded Inside FUTA, a news organization that helped the institution reintroduce campus media.

« I won the prize for most distinguished first-time member of the House while representing my department at the Students’ Representative Council (SRC).

« Represented the University and competed against peers in national debate, entrepreneurship and construction competitions.”

Timilehin expressed immense gratitude to God, his mother, and friends who believed in him and didn’t give up on him through out the whole process.

Human rights activist, Harrison Gwanishu, has taken to social media to pour out his emotions as he marks the 5th anniversary of being acquitted by the court after he was wrongfully imprisoned for four years.

Background story: Harrison was arrested in 2011 after his former boss falsely accused him of robbery. He was charged to court for “conspiracy, unlawful possession of fire arms and armed robbery”.

While in jail, he was moved between Ogwashi Uku prison, SARS office Ikeja, A division Asaba, State CID Asaba, and Ikoyi prison.

When he was arraigned in court on November 30, 2015, he was discharged and acquitted after the court called for the complainant to come forward with evidence but none was provided.

Recounting his terrible experience, Harrison, in a video shared on his Instagram page today, November 30, 2021, broke down in tears as he thanked God for his freedom.

He captioned the video,

“At 11:45am, 30-11-2015, The wardens unlocked the leg chain led me into the dock.

Justice Mabel Omovie, High Court 5 Judge Asaba requested for my case file, she asked the female State Counsel “where is the complainant? My accusers couldn’t come forward to prove their case.

While I was in the dock, the Judge went through my case file and started writing. For almost 30 minutes I was still standing in the dock. ‘The dock is a place in the courtroom which is set aside for defendants and marks them out from other participants in the trial’.

After she was done writing, she read all she wrote and ruled in my favor.

“HARRISON GWAMNISHU is hereby DISCHARGED” At that moment, the wardens have no more power over me. I walked out of the dock A FREE MAN.

What would have been said of me if I was convicted of another man’s crime? .

I have seen death, I have experienced pain, rejection and trampled on like a rag. God lifted me up

Big Brother Naija star, Lucy Edet has taken to social media to share her experience with a dubious COVID-19 vaccinator.

In a post shared via her Instastory, Lucy narrated how she gifted money to the vaccinator when she went to collect her first vaccine jab, and asked her to share with her colleagues.

However, on her second visit, she found out that the lady didn’t share the money with her colleagues and instead, kept it all to herself.

The reality show star, who was obviously hurt by the experience, bemoaned the level of dishonesty in the system.

“Nigeria is next” — Bisi Alimi writes as Botswana loses court bid to revoke gay rights

Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has reacted after Botswana’s government lost bid to revoke gay rights in the country.

Homosexuality had been banned in Botswana since 1985, until 2019 when the country’s high court ruled in favour of campaigners seeking to strike down jail sentences for same-sex relationships.

Following the campaign, the high court decriminalized homosexuality and declared that the punishment is unconstitutional.

However, in October 2021, the country began a legal battle to overturn the court’s decision but lost on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.

Reacting to this, Bisi Alimi took to his Instagram page to rejoice with the LGBTQ community in Botswana.

Sharing a text post with the country’s flag and a rainbow, the activist said Nigeria will be the next country to decriminalize homosexuality.

He wrote: “Homophobia will not last forever! Nigeria is next!”

21-year-old photographer arraigned for allegedly killing his pregnant girlfriend by giving her abortion pills in Adamawa

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Yola, Adamawa State on Monday, November 29, remanded a 21-year-old photographer, Muhammed Zubairu in prison custody over the death of his pregnant girlfriend, one Miss Sane Fidelis.

The 21-year-old who hails from Sabon Pegi, Mayo Belwa Local Government Area, was arraigned for criminal conspiracy and causing death by an act done with an intent to cause abortion which contravened sections 60 and 204 of the penal code law.

The suspect admitted impregnating his late girlfriend as well as causing her death while trying to abort the pregnancy. He was said to have conspired with a friend and administered the drugs to the deceased in an effort to carry out a clandestine abortion where they ended up terminating her life.

After administrating the drugs with an intention of killing the baby, Miss Sane Fidelis, developed some medical complication and subsequently died at the specialist hospital in Yola.

The matter was earlier reported to the police in Mayo Belwa LGA by the deceased’s sister, Siyona Fidelis, on the 4th November, 2021, after which the accused person was apprehended.

The defendant said that he had sexual intercourse with the deceased on three occasions only, and that when the girl approached him with the pregnancy, they supplied some drugs in order to terminate it.

He added that in order to prove that she truly took in for him, he gave her the drugs and asked her to take it. The deceased took the drugs on the spot after which she started complaining of her stomach pain and later died of complication.

When asked to enter his plea, the defendant told the court that he committed the crime as alleged after the First Information Report was read to him as applied by the prosecutor, ASP Francis Audu.

ASP Francis, prayed the court to adjourn the matter to enable the prosecution compile case file and transmit same to DPP for legal advice. Ruling, Magistrate Alheri Ishaku ordered the remand of defendant in prison custody and adjourned the matter to the 13th December, 2021 for further mention.

The trial was stalled on Monday, November 29, due to the absence of one of the witnesses.

A while back, in an exclusive interview with NTA newsmen, Chidinma Ojukwu opened up on how she tied Usifo Ataga’s hands while he was high on drugs and asleep, because she wanted to steal from him, before stabbing him to death.

Her confession gives credence to the family’s claim that Usifo’s corpse showed signs of torture, tied hands and a broken neck even before he was stabbed.

An unemployed Nigerian lady, Uche Anaekwe, has narrated how she went for an interview she wasn’t for and landed the job.

Taking to LinkedIn, the licensed cabin crew said she had submitted her CV to different airlines hoping to get a job, but all to no avail.

On a fateful day, her friend and co-cabin crew told her about a job aptitude test she was invited for and she decided to tag along and also write the test.

Fortunately for her, everything worked out in her favour and she got the job.

Sharing photos of herself in her cabin crew uniform, Uche wrote,

“Hello LinkedIn fam, been awhile you saw me here.

A lot has happened to me between August-November and I’m nothing short of grateful to God.

After I graduated from aviation school in July and got my cabin crew licence I had no idea how I was going to get a job, I didn’t know anyone in the industry who would give me a leg up and although I knew I had all the qualifications, I didn’t know how to go about securing a job except submitting my CV to airlines and hoping for the best.

In the last week of July, I decided to pack my bags and go to lagos, my plan was to go round airlines offices dropping my cv with them and praying that something clicks, mind you I had previously submitted my CV to Dana air when they called for new cabin crew but I didn’t hear back from them and off course I was devastated.

Long story short, a good friend and fellow cabin crew aspirant I met here on LinkedIn who had also applied for the same role with Dana told me that she had been invited for their aptitude test, I was very happy for her but at the same time sad that I wasn’t called. She was kind enough to tell me the date of the test and where it will take place (funny enough I was going to the airport that same day to submit my CV to other airlines).

I took a bold and courageous leap of faith, went for
an aptitude test I wasn’t invited for, and the rest they say is history.

They say that when opportunity meets preparedness, success is bound to happen.

I’m forever grateful to Maryam Adeleke for being an amazing friend to me even when she didn’t have to. I’m also very thankful to Dana air for using no prejudice and bias to recruit their new crew because I wouldn’t have had a chance otherwise.

I thank God for making my dreams come true and starting me off on this amazing journey, I know there are better things to come and look forward to it 🙏😊❤”

Nigerian HR manager, Ivie Ibitoye, has warned female job seekers against shooting their shots at male CEOS after a job interview.

Ivie, in an Instagram post shared recently, revealed that some female applicants send private emails to male CEOs asking to know them better.

According to her, the intentions of sending such emails may be noble but it can be interpreted as the lady shooting her shot at the male executive.

Barbados has declared singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna, a national hero during its republican celebration in the capital of Bridgetown.

This is coming after the Caribbean country officially removed Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state and became a republic. In the overnight ceremony on Monday, November 29th, Dame Sandra Mason was sworn in as president coinciding with the country’s 55th independence day anniversary.

Rihanna also attended the ceremony and was conferred with the honorary title of a National Hero of Barbados by prime minister, Mia Mottley.

Mia Mottley said, “On behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people, we therefore present to you, the designee, for national hero of Barbados, ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty may you continue to shine like a diamond.”

The ‘Diamond’ hitmaker accepted the honour to cheers and applauds from the crowd.

Nigerians are full of praise for dancer, Poco Lee for introducing his friend, Bella Shmurda to legendary singer, Wizkid.

In April 2020, the professional dancer and hype man hosted an Instagram Live and Grammy award winner, Wizkid joined the live session. Poco quickly seized the opportunity to introduce his friend, Bella, who was an up-and-coming singer at the time to the Grammy award winner.

Bella Shmurda later took to micro-blogging platform, Twitter to thank his friend for introducing him to the ‘Made In Lagos’ star.

Showing his appreciation to Poco, Bella tweeted, “The moment @Poco__lee introduced me to @wizkidayo 😭😭😩 I love you Odinaka.. you do all ❤️🙏🏽”.

Following the introduction, Wizkid followed Bella Shmurda on social media and later linked up with him in Ghana. Last night, the vision 2020 crooner performed at Wizkid’s Made In Lagos concert in O2 Arena, London.

Crossdresser, Bobrisky brags about owning a petrol station, buying a hotel worth N800m in Lagos (Receipt)

Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky, has taken to Snapchat to brag about his expensive investments in Lagos.

The self acclaimed ‘male barbie’, in a recent post, revealed that he has delved into the oil and gas sector as he allegedly owns a petrol station in Lekki, Lagos.

Bobrisky also disclosed that he has made his first installment for a hotel property worth N800 million in Lekki Phase 1. According to him, the property agent didn’t believe him until he paid the first instalment of N230 million.

Sharing a photo of the payment receipt, Bobrisky threw jabs at trolls who have been castigating him online, while stating that he’s turning the insults to money.

He wrote,

“I have a gas station popularly known as Petroleum station in Lekki. My lawyer ask me not to share this information with no one. It kept as a secret because we don’t want it known to the public yet. Many of you here in Lagos have bought fuel there.

The more you insult I get from people daily I turn it to money, in your mind you are laughing at me yeah? But I am turning it to money as the smart girl that I am

“There is this hotel they want to sell in Lekki phase 1 for eight hundred million, when I told the guy I want to buy it, the guy was shocked. I told them I want to spread the payment for three month d guy didn’t believe until I make first payment on the 11th.”

Nigerian singing sensation, Darey Art-Alade, and his wife, Deola, are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary today, November 30th.

Deola took to her Instagram page to appreciate her husband as they celebrate 15 years of marital bliss.

Sharing loved-up photos and videos of them together Deola wrote,

“True LOVE, UNDILUTED, with no boundaries. Thank you for a life of happiness, joy and most especially for being my greatest cheerleader! Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary sweetie ❤️”.

On the other hand, Darey shared an adorable photo of himself and his wife on his official Instagram page and captioned it,

The couple got married in an elaborate ceremony in 2006.

The rather unusual moment a masquerade was spotted wooing a lady reemerged on social media, with hilarious reactions trailing the video.

The video first made its appearance in September of 2020 where it was reported that the rare occurrence happened in Nnewi, Anambra state — in the video, the masquerade who was expected to be on duty representing the gods, is seen getting a lady’s phone number.

As can be heard in the video, the masquerade also asked the lady if she’s on WhatsApp and told her to dial the number she entered on his phone for him to confirm it is valid.

Singer, B-Red flaunts wads of cash that rained at his son’s birthday party (video)

Nigerian singer, Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red has taken to social media to show off the wads of cash that rained at his son’s birthday party last night.

B-Red threw a lavish birthday party for his son who turned 2 on Monday, November 29th and has excepted the party was start-studded. B-Red’s cousin, Davido was also present at the event and was part of the guests who made money rain.

Taking to his Insta-stories to show off the wads of naira notes the proud father noted that his son received over seven million naira from guests at the party.

“To be honest, If I take it way back to like 12, 13 or 14 years ago, many people would just think that because my Uncle is a billionaire and my dad is a millionaire so I had it good since time. No o!
