Kenechukwu Okeke, the Activist who was against the #ENDSARS Campaign and also defiantly sued Nigerian celebrities supporting the movement has died.

In recent reports, it has been revealed that Okeke was macheted by 7 men in Nkpor, near Onitsha, Anambra state.

Read the narration below as told by his wife, Mrs Blessing Odinakachi Okeke ;

“Chiadiobi (the tenant) was living in our house, but when he packed out without our knowledge and asked to be given two months of his rent that he left, we told him he should have notified us that he was packing out.

“My husband was not around the day he came but I told him he packed out of the house without our knowledge and should not be given back any money.

“He threatened to deal with us, saying he will teach my husband a lesson. I called my husband and told him what the boy said and that he should not come to confront him, since they say he is a bad boy.

“My husband later reported the matter to the DSS and to the police, and he was made to write an undertaking, but he was still coming to terrorize us. Sometimes he will come to our house and break open the gate and come in and pick whatever he wants to pick.

“One day, he came to our house and my husband confronted him, without knowing that he had many boys with him downstairs, and before my husband could do anything, they macheted him, and the fuel we wanted to pour into our gen, they poured it on him and lit him up, and that was how my husband died.”

Omolara Olatunbosun, the mother of Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s first child, Princess Adeola, , has refuted claims that the monarch has always been in the life of their daughter.

Recall that The OOni recently recounted his experience having his daughter at the age of 19, adding that parenting comes with challenges. In a post shared on his social media handles on her birthday, October 18, the monarch described Adeola as his closest friend and great confidant.

However, in a statement released, the mother of Ooni’s daughter said there was no iota of truth in Ooni’s post.

According to Omolara, Oba Ogunwusi was not present in the child’s life, especially in the first 10 years. She mentioned that the only time the monarch saw their child after her birth was at a wedding and that she received no monetary support from him or anyone to take care of their child.

The statement read;

“My name is Omolara, and I am Adeola Ogunwusi’s mother. She was born in Akobo, Ibadan, in May 1994 as a result of a teenage relationship I had with Adeyeye Ogunwusi, now the Ooni of Ife, who was then also a teenager, neighbor, and family friend. The relationship was short and uneventful, but certain matters of late have forced me to break a silence. I have held since 2015 when, shortly before his coronation, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi concocted a self-serving tale about his role in our daughter’s life.

“A couple of weeks ago, on his Instagram and Facebook pages, he once again wrote that he was a `single father` to my daughter — a mendacious claim that has no basis in fact, but has gone on for too long. I want to put it on the record now in public that there’s not an iota of truth to that claim, and I challenge him to prove me wrong.

Yeye Ogunwusi was never present in Adeola’s life for the first ten years of her growing up which makes the `single father` narrative shocking, annoying and disrespectful to hear by all who know the truth of the story. I, Omolara, took care of my daughter physically, financially and emotionally, with the moral support of my mother and my siblings.

I was a pregnant teen, but he was nowhere to be found, and I bore the responsibilities for our child and paid the physical and social cost of raising her alone in my mom’s house. Yeye Ogunwusi saw Adeola for only five minutes at the hospital when she was born. The next time he saw her was when she was already four years old and ten years old respectively.

I got NO monetary or material support from him or ANYONE while raising my child. I could not have, because he was also just finding his way in the world.

Adeola started spending holidays with Yeye Ogunwusi and his then wife (Bukola Bombata) in Lagos when she was thirteen in 2007, and started living with them when she was fifteen in 2009. This was when he began any financial and personal involvement in her life at all.

All these years, I have kept quiet in the belief that all is well that ends well. I decided to be an adult in this situation for the sake of my daughter. I have also kept quiet since the first time he made this outrageous claim because I hate unnecessary publicity, and I wanted to keep my private life out of public glare.

However, it appears that Yeye Ogunwusi has taken my silence for stupidity.

In spite of every private outreach to him to stop repeating the lie that he ‘raised my daughter as a single parent since she was born’, he has continued to say so. It is not true, and no amount of repeating it will make it so. I was the single parent. He was, until our daughter was old enough, an absentee father. Unfortunately, a lie goes a long way around the world before the truth gets a chance to tie its shoes. So, this is my attempt at correcting the record.

If Yeye Ogunwusi has any photos of him and our daughter, or the receipt of any expense he bore on her, before the age of ten, let him present them to the public right now. I refuse to let someone else define me or tell my story. It is a story of triumph over fear, over shame, and over doubt. It is a success story, but with several bumps and obstacles along the way. But it is mine, and no one else’s to tell.

If Yeye Ogunwusi is proud of the daughter we have raised, he can say so without any attempt to minimize or denigrate the very foundation on which he’s now attempting to build, and from which he cowardly fled when the going was tough. For our daughter’s sake, enough is enough. For the sake of truth and justice, enough is enough.

I will not allow ANYONE to disrespect a lifetime of hard work that I put into raising my child no matter how powerful, famous or seemingly influential they claim to be.

I am also making this public to put on notice any media organisations to stop repeating Yeye Ogunwusi’s lies without proper verification and qualification. You, also, have a duty to be truthful and factual. And now, you can.”

The Police in Ekiti State have arrested a woman identified as Sule Nana, for faking her own kidnap with the aim of getting a sum of N50,000 from her husband.

Spokesperson of the command, ASP Sunday Abutu who paraded her alongside other suspects on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital said the suspect was arrested by men of the Rapid Respond Squad after thorough and intensive investigation.

According to ASP Sunday, the RRS operatives on 20th November, 2021, got a distress call from Nana that she was kidnapped by unknown gunmen along Ifaki-Oye-Ekiti road.

“On 20/11/2021 at about 1030hrs, a distress call was received from one *Sule Nana* ‘f’ that she was kidnapped by unknown gunmen along Ifaki/Oye-Ekiti road alongside other passengers,” Abutu stated.

“She called her husband that the kidnappers were demanding for a sum of fifty thousand naira (#50,000:00) ransom before she could be released. The RRS Operatives, upon the receipt of the complaint, swung into action by combing the bush along Ifaki/Oye-Ekiti before it was later discovered that Sule Nana kidnapped herself to get money from her relatives. She has confessed to the commission of the crime.” he added.

In her defense, the woman said she decided to plan her own abduction in order to get money from her husband and relatives.

“I needed some money but I could not see any helper and I decided to plan my abduction where I will collect ransom. I called my husband to demand N50,000 ransom and in the process, I was arrested.” she said.

A 27-year-old man identified as Ojo Blessing Akinro and his wife, Mary, have passed on.

According to a source, they were both found dead in their residence in Akure, Ondo State on Tuesday, November 23.

“He was last seen online on WhatsApp on Sunday, November 21 at 11pm. A missing report was filed at the police station and detectives broke into their flat to find out what was going on only to find the couple dead in their toilet.

“Apparently, their killers had murdered them and locked up them in the toilet. Their corpses have been deposited at the morgue,” a source said.
