HIV positive teacher accused of defiling 14 primary school pupils in Niger state

A teacher, identified as Alhaji Usman Galadima, has been accused of sexually abusing 14 pupils in the primary school he teaches in Niger state.

According to reports, the Grade 2 teacher at the Central Primary School Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area, Niger State, allegedly threatened to kill the pupils if they told anyone about it.

However, two of the pupils summoned courage to report to the school’s headmistress, Hajiya Maimunat Tanko, who then reported to the headmaster, Mallam Abdullahi Toure.

When Alhaji Galadima was confronted with the allegations, he reportedly denied the student’s claims.

With time, more students came out to report that they had also been sexually molested by the teacher, which made the school launch an investigation into the matter.

However, Alhaji Galadima still claimed to be innocent until a delegate sent by Bà Karabonde, the traditional head of Karabonde, came to the school to complain that some girls from grades 2 and 3 of the school had told their parents that they were molested by the teacher.

According to the kids, Galadima told them to come to school very early and he used the opportunity to sexually assault them.

Following this concrete allegation, Galadima confessed to raping only one of the girls. At this time, members of the community had already gotten wind of the incidents and they stormed the school with weapons to hurt Galadima, however, he had been smuggled out of the school.

Thereafter, the case was transferred to the Borgu Emirate Council and Galadima was promised leniency if he confessed.

Galadima, then changed his statement, claiming he only abused two of the girls before later admitting to defiling 5 of them. So far, 14 pupils have come forward to reveal how the teacher asked them to kiss him and play with his manhood. Others said he raped them.

The girls were taken to the hospital for treatment where it was discovered that Galadima, who is currently on the run, is HIV positive.

It is currently unknown if the girls contracted the virus because the hospital withheld their test results and prescribed only drugs for them.

Parents of the girls have called on the appropriate authorities and NGOs to wade into the matter and help them get justice.

In reaction to Maria’s exit from the house, Toke described it as unfortunate. According to her, she played a good game and would have remained in the house if it was not a triple eviction day.

“Maria’s fan base tried, it’s unfortunate that it was a triple eviction night plus the game is getting closer and closer.

“The house has to be decongested. Maria played her game well, she gave us talking points and she’ll do well. Nobody loses, the platform has been given.” Toke Makinwa tweeted.

12000 people attended – Instrumentalist who performed at Burna Boy’s show unknowingly contradicts claim that he had a sold-out show.

Nigerian Grammy-award winning singer and African Giant, Burna Boy, recently held a concert at the O2 Arena in UK, and by all indication, it was a huge success.

Prior to the show, there were opinions by rival fans that the “Ye” crooner did not sell out the arena, but Burna squashed this claim after his show, as he claimed he sold out his tickets, the way he wanted, at his own price.

The rival fans would not admit defeat, and as they searched for more details on the arena, they landed on the Instagram page of an instrumentalist who performed that night.

The instrumentalist’s instagram post shows that 12,000 people were in attendance.

However, a quick google search tells us that the O2 arena capacity is way about 12,000, and a sold out show would be nothing less than 20,000.

Openly gay Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa, otherwise known as YBNL Princess, has revealed one of the reasons why she doesn’t want to have kids.

The former YBNL signee, who is a lesbian and unapologetic about it, took to her Instastories to disclose that she is “heterophobic” and can’t stand heterosexual people.

According to her, it will be devastating for her to spend her hard-earned money to find a sperm donor to get her pregnant, and the child should turn out to be a heterosexual.

Temmie emphasized her disdain for heterosexuals and stated that she can’t have one under her roof.

Revered clergyman, Pastor E.A Adeboye has shared the advise he gave one of his daughters who complained that no man was approaching her for a relationship.

According to the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, the young lady was always too serious and rarely smiles, so he advised her to smile more often.

He revealed she took to his advise and one year later she’s happily married.

Pastor Adeboye shared this story in his church on Sunday, August 29 while speaking to the congregation on the importance of laughter.

Activist, Modupe Odele shuts down troll who asked who is bankrolling her trips abroad

Nigerian activist, Modupe Odele has savagely replied a troll who asked how she’s able to afford her ‘numerous’ trips abroad.

Modupe who was one of the front liners during the EndSARS protest and was stopped by the Nigeria Immigration Service from travelling out of the country last year because of her role in the protest, shared a photo of herself in New York.

Sharing the adorable photo of herself on Twitter, she captioned it, “New York called and I answered”.

On sighting the post a troll took to the comment to ask who’s bankrolling her trips abroad. “Please, who’s bankrolling your numerous trips?” The troll wrote.

Moe who wasn’t having any of it gave the follower a savage reply, “Your daddy that’s why he’s currently in debt. play foolish games, win foolish prizes.” She wrote.

The lecturer said he passed it down to his daughter in order to augment her kits as she’s almost ready for her own youth service.

Nigerian-American singer and actor, Rotimi, has shared some events that happened between he and his lover, Tanzanian music star, Vanessa Mdee before he proposed to her.

Pere who was up for possible eviction alongside five other housemates, Maria, JMK, Sammie, Queen and Cross. While his love interest, Maria left the house, he(Pere) got enough votes from his fans to keep him in Big Brother’s house.

Moments after the live eviction show, Whitemoney in a conversation with Pere noted that it was possible that the big fight which ensued between them weeks ago boosted pere’s fanbase.

“Keep playing your game and keep being you. That incident that happened between us boosted your fanbase. It was a 50-50 thing. So keep being Pere”. Whitemoney said.

Meanwhile, Maria’s eviction from the house came as a shock to the housemates as well as viewers of the show, while consoling Pere on the departure of his love interest, Maria, Whitemomey noted that she’s a strong woman and the game has just started for the actor.

In his words,

“Maria is fine. She is a strong woman. Maria is one of the strongest women I know. She’s strong physically, spiritually and otherwise. Would you rather go home so that she stays?

If you haven’t seen either the currently trending Netflix limited movie series, King of Boys II: The Return of the King or the prequel, King of Boys, both directed by Nigerian filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba.. then there might be a little bit of spoilers ahead.

Actress, Toni Tones in both movie titles, plays the role of young Eniola Salami (played by Sola Sobowale), where in different scenes, she portrays the sinister past of the protagonist and how she attained the feat she has in the movie.

Tones’ role required her to speak quite a lot of Yoruba in the movie and the thespian cum singer whose native dialect isn’t Yoruba, revealed that it was one of the most challenging things to do in the whole of her acting career.

A fan sent in a tweet where they erroneously assumed that Toni Tone could speak Yoruba as they credited her amazing performance in the currently trending Netflix limited series.

Quoting the tweet in response, the actress revealed that she had to learn the language because of her role in the movie and had no understanding of what she was saying.

According to her, Mr. Dele Adetiba, the director of the movie, Kemi Adetiba’s father was her tutor who shared a message with Kemi who shared it with her about her dad’s pride at Toni’s grasp for the language.

Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu fired shots at colleague, Alexx Ekubo, who not so long ago, suffered a major blow in his relationship as he and his ex-fiancé, Fancy Acholonu, called off their engagement.

When speculations of their split hit the web, many were stunned over the fact cause preparations for their wedding were already underway. Their split however then became factual when Fancy announced the calling off of their engagement in an Instagram post where she said that everyone should be able to ‘live their truth.’

Not long after, on Saturday, August 28, Ekubo copped a doctorate degree from the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Gestion in Benin Republic.

Actor, Uche Maduagwu, in reaction to Alex’s latest feat, said it is unwise for him to celebrate getting his honorary degree since his relationship just hit the rocks.

He wrote,

“Someone Wey No fit continue From engagement To wedding No suppose Dey rejoice over Honorary University Degree Charity of wisdom Begin at home oga.

This is not right at all, will you be happy if someone breaks up his engagement with your sister only for him to start rejoicing over getting an honorary degree from a university on social media a few days after a breakup? Must you celebrate that immediately oga? What message or Nollywood lesson be that? When dem don attends oba party dem go begin to do something that even the gods no understand”.
