Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere has stated that Angel might emerge winner of the shine ya eye edition of the show.
The Nollywood actor in a conversation with 21-year-old Angel on Sunday, told her that if she survives eviction and makes it to the finals then the N90million grand prize would definitely be hers.
In his words,
“What if I told you if you don’t get evicted you will win this show. If you stay back you are going to pick the money, mark my words and if it comes to pass N10 million is coming to my account because I saw it”.
Meanwhile, evicted housemate, Niyi in a recent interview noted that Saskay, Saga and Whitemoney, have a strong chance of winning the prize money of N90 million because they are strong contenders.
“I think Saskay, Whitemoney and Saga will likely win this year. I think they will win because they are strong contenders, I used to think Saga but with the new housemates i don’t think that’s possible especially because of Nini’s presence in the house.” He said.
The General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has banned the usage of earphones in his church.
According to the clergyman, earphones are devils tool to block the progress of youths as it does not allow them to hear divine guidance from God.
He stated this during a sermon on ‘how to access divine guidance: create a serene and quiet environment around yourself‘, at his church’s headquarters on Sunday.
“Young generation, please listen to me all these things you plug in your ear is to block your way forward. It is designed by the devil to block your way forward.

Former Nigeria’s first lady, Chief Mrs. Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, is dead.
Victoria, wife of late Nigerian Military Head of State, Major General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, died peacefully in the early hours of Monday, August 23. She would have clocked 98 on November 21, 2021.
Her husband was the Supreme Commander of the National Military Government for six months before being overthrown and assassinated on July 29, 1966 in the 1966 Nigerian counter-coup.
Victoria never remarried till she passed away this morning.
The President said this during a crucial closed-door meeting with service chiefs held on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno, conveyed the President’s pledge to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting which lasted more than five hours.
“The President was briefed, he is quite happy that there’s been a tremendous success, especially with the advent of the new service chiefs and Inspector-General of Police. He also made it very clear that he’s not ready to exit government as a failure; he is not going to tolerate that.”
A number of Christians have taken to social media to narrate how they miraculously passed exams they didn’t sit for because they were in trance.
This is coming after a Twitter user took to the platform to lament that a friend would likely miss her final exams which will start today, after she went into trance in church yesterday, August 22.
“My friend (a celestial member) that is starting her final exams tomorrow went into trance today in church, 7 days”, The Twitter user wrote.
Reacting to the tweet several celestial church members assured her not worry for her friend, as they narrated how they miraculously passed exams they never wrote because they were in trance.
One said he missed two exams while in a trance yet he had a better score than those who sat for it, According to him, he scored A in the courses.
Another Twitter user said he had a 3.87 CGPA with no carryover, despite missing his exams because he was in a trance for 21 days.
A 99-year-old man has finally walked down the aisle with his 86-year-old partner after years of being together.
The aged couple tied the knot in their church over the weekend, Saturday August 21 with friends and families present.
One of their children identified as Michael Maduka on Facebook, took to the platform to celebrate his parents as they say “I do”.
Sharing photos from his parents wedding, he wrote,
“Wow…Finally the did has been done!!! Please friends join me in celebrating my parents!! They are the newest couple in the whole world. At 86 my mom still say… “Yes I do” Again to my daddy @ age 99 Lord I thank you for the success of it”.

A UK-based Nigerian woman identified as Bolanle Aworetan Omojuwa, has reportedly been shot dead after returning to the country to bury her mum.
It was gathered Omojuwa was shot dead by bandits on her way to the Ibadan after her mum’s lavish funeral ceremony which held at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
After the ceremony, Omojuwa was said to have made a quick trip to Oyo state with her children, unfortunately she was shot dead in her car by bandits at the Guru Maharaji village, on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
The sad incidents happened on Thursday, August 19th and friends and families have taken to social media to mourn her demise.
Alumni members of the University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD) have also taken to their WhatsApp group to mourn the late mother of two, who was one of them.

Award-winning Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello has revealed that she got married to her first husband, Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, due to societal pressure.
The mom of two, who is celebrating her fifth wedding anniversary to her husband, JJC Skills, today, August 23, made this revelation in a recent chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
According to her, she just wanted to settle down and have children because she was under pressure, but sadly the marriage ended after a year.
She went on to advise single ladies to avoid rushing into marriage because if they do, they will rush out of the marriage like she did.
The 43-year-old actress said,
“I have never addressed this issue but I will do now to encourage ladies that are pressured to get married. Please calm down and take your time because if you rush in, you rush out…that is the lesson learnt….I just wanted to get married then, have children because I was being pressurized by society, here and there….and then it didn’t work out and ended in a bad way….I was filming when the news broke on social media, I wanted to die, i lost some good deals and all but i didn’t let it break me….”

Big Brother Naija star, Cynthia Nwadiora better known as CeeC, has stated that she motivated ‘strong willed’ women to be themselves on the reality show.
Viewers of the Big Brother Naija show have repeatedly compared Cee-c’s character on the show to that of fellow reality stars, Erica and Tacha.
In a recent interview with Chude, Cee-c stated that she feels comfortable with the comparison as she believes that her character on the show motivated the likes of Erica and Tacha to also be themselves.
“People are not used to having women of strong opinions in a show like that and I was the first. I loved the comparison with Erica and Tacha and it didn’t make me uncomfortable. I feel I made people comfortable to go on the show and be themselves.
“By being myself I made Erica and Tacha comfortable to be themselves. I got out and became a better person of myself. I’m not for simple minded people”. She said.
Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Jackie B has alleged that her former bestie, Angel is responsible for the missing items in the house.
Jackie who stated this in a conversation with Jaypaul after the live show last night, alleged that she borrowed Angel a pair of shoe worth over N40,000 but instead of returning she hid it.
According to her, Angel deliberately hid the shoe and lied that she couldn’t find it because she wants to turn it to hers.
Although she revealed that Angel later returned the shoe she also accused her of stealing Peace’s wig which has been missing for days now.
Reacting to the allegations levied against the 21-year-old by Jackie B, Jaypaul noted that the revelation has changed his perception about Angel and he has started disliking her.

Seeing that someone she considered a friend was trying hard to get close to her man, Jackie started keeping her distance from Angel. Angel in a conversation with Michael on Tuesday night stated that Jackie B sees her as a threat.
She complained about the rift between her and Jackie and claimed that Jackie had initially given her reasons why she could not be with Michael, and surprised that she’s giving attitude because she (Angel) is close to Michael.
According to her, even though Jackie considers her as her bestfriend in the house she doesn’t owe her any loyalty and can have Michael to herself if she so wishes.
BBNaija housemate, Maria has revealed that she has a crush on the fellow housemate, Michael, but the fact that he’s younger than her would deter her from actualizing anything.
Maria opened up on her feelings for Michael during a discussion she had with Pere (Who openly has a crush on her).
According to Maria, her type of man is Michael and not him (Pere). Maria went further to say that she’s always shy when she is around Michael and wished he wasn’t younger than her.

The fourth Big Brother Naija season 6 Sunday live eviction show came with a twist with Big Brother successfully pranking the housemates, as there was no eviction.
Recall that last Monday Big Brother gave the current Head of House, Maria a secret task to convince the housemates that she has been given the power to evict 2 housemates who least impress her.
On Sunday morning Maria released a list of her bottom 6 housemates which included her love interest, Pere, Emmanuel, JMK, Angel, Yousef and Jaypaul.
During the live eviction show when the show host, Ebuka asked that she chooses two housemates to be immediately evicted from the house, Maria chose JMk and Yousef.
Ebuka then broke the ice asking JMK and Yousef to sit and finally revealed to the housemates that it was just a prank all week and they are all saved for the week.
After the live show when the housemates spoke on the big prank Biggie played on them, Whitemoney stated that he knew no one was going home.
In response Maria noted that Whitemoney already knows what will happen till the last day of the show.
“Don’t mind him, this one know what will happen till the end of the show let’s leave this one alone”, she said.
Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eye’ housemate, Pere has revealed that he once had feelings for fellow housemate, Jackie B.
Pere made this disclosure in a conversation with his current love interest, Maria.
According to him, he was first attracted to Jackie B when he got in the house before he started getting close to Maria.
“I was attracted to Jackie B from the first day in the house but she was interested in someone else”. He said.
“But when I noticed you, I started having feelings for you”. He added.
In response Maria suggested that since Jackie B is Pere’s spec and the guy who she (Jackie) is interested in, Michael is her spec, then they should swap lovers.
“If Jackie is your type and them Michael is my type how about we switch. Michael makes me blush when he comes around me, I stay away from him coz he’s actually my type”. Maria told Pere.
Arinola Olowoporuku was one of the recent housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, and in an interview she has said that she knew she was never going to win, as people may judge her for her piercings.
In an interview with Punchng.com, she said; “I definitely did not expect to win. I feel like I know Nigerians enough and I knew they were going to judge me. However, I did not know they were going to ‘villain-ise’ me as much as they did but I definitely knew they were going to judge me.
But, I envisaged that I would spend about five or seven weeks in the competition. I left earlier than I expected to leave though but many of the things did not surprise me at all.”
Asked why she expected to be judged, she said, “Of course, (because of) my face and how I look. I am a woman, skinny and dark-skinned. Also, I am very vocal, opinionated, and fierce. I have piercings on my face and I’m very expressive.
People don’t usually expect that from women, so I knew I was going to be judged. Until people have personal interactions with me, I am a conundrum to them. They don’t understand me but when they come closer, their views of me change.”
Speaking on what inspired her love for piercings, Arin said, “I was young and I really loved to express myself. I wanted to wear jewelry and accessories in unfamiliar and unorthodox places. I just wanted to have piercings and I did. I started when I was 15 and I have not stopped.
“I used to have 23 piercings but I took some out and I now have 17. But, they are not all going to be permanent. It would change from time to time.”
Big Brother Naija housemate Cross has addressed himself as a fool for believing Saskay after she denied not liking Jaypaul.
In a conversation with Maria and Nini on Sunday night after the fake eviction, Cross expressed his disappointment.
Recall that the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, had asked about her relationships with Jay Paul and Cross, and she answered, “I like both of them but I’ve made it clear that I’m not interested in any situationships or relationships in the house.”
She also admits to enjoying the attention that she was getting from both men in the house.
Reacting to the response, later on, Cross said, “She has lied and I have never lied to her. She has never told me. I’m finding out on live TV that she likes Jaypaul and she told me she didn’t like him.”

Popular Nigeria cleric, Dr Paul Enenche, has said that many Nigerians would have taken their own lives due to harsh economic realities in the country but for the church.
Enenche stated this during a sermon at his church’s headquarters, Glory Dome, Abuja.
In his words ;
“Thank God for Church, otherwise many people would have k*lled themselves since. If they say there was s*ic*de, just imagine what will happen if not for Church.
Living in a kind of country we are living and in the part of the world we are living, the only thing that has kept us alive and kept us well is Word of God. Didn’t you hear the COVID predictions, that millions would be on the streets of Africa.

Tonto Dikeh‘s lover, Prince Kpokpogri has left fans disappointed after he renegaded on the assurance that he’d go live to prove the voice in leaked audio of his infidelity wasn’t hiis.
It would be recalled that a blogger called out the politician some days ago backed with alleged audio of his conversation, after which he promised to prove that ingenuity of the recording on Sunday.

Housemate, Angel dragged a few of the housemates who she alleges don’t show her respect all because she exposes her body from time to time.
Angel while speaking to JMK said that almost all of the guys in the house have seen her nakedness, and that’s who she is, because she loves wearing exposed wears and it’s part of her lifestyle.
She went further to say that she knows she exposes her body a lot, but it’s her business, she’s a full grown adult and has the right to her body. She says she can show anyone and everyone her nakedness, but then she deserves her respect as a lady.
Angel told JMK that most people are quick to judgement and later, they regret their actions.

Nini and Saga have alleged that Cross had an erection while bathing his fellow housemate, JMK after the Jaccuzi party on Friday night.
Nini and Saga spilled the milk during a conversation with Boma, Tega, Yousef and Sammie. The duo said the bathroom door was open and everyone was able to see what was happening inside.

It would be recalled that on Saturday, that Biggie tasked the Head of House, Maria, with the nomination of six housemates that she considers her least favorite.
The biracial housemate has however listed the bottom 6 housemates on Sunday afternoon while the housemates gathered.
The names of the housemates include Pere, Angel, JMK, Yousef, Jaypaul, and Emmanuel; followed it up with the instruction to pack their bags while they await further instructions from biggie.
Very early this morning, Saga told his fellow housemates that Maria grabbed his thing during the Jacuzzi party, which went down on Friday night.
He said this during a conversation with Tega, Boma and Nini.
Saga had disclosed that while they were in the Jacuzzi dancing, she just suddenly grabbed his thing.
The housemates who were in disbelief poked him, wanting to know if she was in the right state of mind, or possibly it was a dare game.. to which Saga said: “It wasn’t a truth or dare, she just f***ing grabbed it”.
“That’s because it was erect. That’s why she can grab it like that”, Tega said.
Nini quipped: “I’m sure you enjoyed it”.
To which Saga replied, “You say I enjoyed it. Somebody defiled me, you’re telling me I enjoyed it”
“How did it happen”, Boma asked.
“I was dancing with her, she just came and grabbed it”, he responded.
Stressing that he has “suffered” in the house, he asked why the current Head of House would do such.

To set the tone, the housemates were grouped into 4 teams and asked to pick group names starting with the letter X, alluding to the ‘X’ in Phantom X.
The housemates rose comfortably to the challenge and came up with:
Team Xceptional; Boma, Saga, Jackie B, Cross and Sammie.
Team Xcellent; Jaypaul, JMK, Peace, Nini and Angel.
Team Xtraordinary; Maria, Yousef, Saskay, Tega and Queen.
Team Xclusive; Liquorose, Emmanuel, Michael, Pere and Whitemoney.
The first task was the Word Unscrambler game. Each group was to unscramble as many Phantom X related words as they could. If we didn’t know how beneficial playing Scramble was, now we do.
It was a tough game but Team Xclusive, made up of Liquorose, Emmanuel, Michael, Pere and Whitemoney, claimed the victory. And the reward, a 100,000 Naira for each team member.
The second task, the X-Rush, was more physical and intense as it had the housemates running around carting balls from one point to another.
Things got really interesting and after all the exertion and excitement, Team Xceptional, made up of Boma, Saga, Jackie B, Cross and Sammie, won the game. Here, housemates from the winning team were also rewarded with 100,000 Naira each.
The third and final task was introduced by artiste Broda Shaggi. Immediately I saw him, I knew the final task was going to involve creativity, and I sure was correct.
Broda Shaggi told the housemates that their next task was to record, edit and present a 7-minute stage play about the social challenges currently affecting the country and continent as a whole.
The four teams each dug deep and came up with moving plays on gender inequality, domestic violence, child education, and drug abuse. But only 1 team could emerge winner, and that team ended up being Team Xcellent. Members of the team, Jaypaul, JMK, Peace, Nini and Angel, each won 250,000 Naira and a Phantom X phone.
But wait, there’s more. TECNO fans online were asked to show their love and vote for their favorite male and female housemates, with impressive performances during the TECNO task. The 2 housemates, one male and one female, with the highest votes would each be crowned with the title PHANTOM of BBN and also win 200,000 Naira each. Wow, isn’t it! After intense voting, Whitemoney and Liquorose claimed their titles.
To say it was a fun packed day would be an understatement. We watch BBNaija for its ever-entertaining content, and TECNO didn’t drop the ball. The brand gallantly came through! Now, I know it can’t be just me waiting to see what next, they have up their sleeves.
