Nigerian rapper and singer Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema has revealed that he would not be performing anywhere this December.
Rema, who passed the message on social media, mentioned that he had been ignoring his physical wellbeing for a while now.
He added that he would be using the period to recover from his illness which he refused to disclose.
Rema, who recently shut down the 02 arena in London, had multiple shows scheduled for December but has now cancelled them all.
Sharing via his Instagram story, he wrote;
“Breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing Anywhere this December, been years of touring I’ve ignored my health; I need time to recuperate. 2024 we go again love.”
Few minutes after Rema shared the post online, his colleagues and fans took to his Instagram page to wish him quick recovery.
Singer Davido also sent him a heartwarming get well soon via his Instagram story where he wrote;
“The job ain’t easy … physically and mentally!! you’ve done Africa and the world proud beyond expectations… get some rest King @heisrema come back stronger.”
