The image of the White police officer who panicked and fatally shot a black man in the United States as he tried to hand over his ID and License has been released.

The police officer who shot and killed unarmed Philando Castile in Minnesota while his girlfriend detailed the aftermath has been released.

Philando Castile, 32, of Falcon Heights succumbed to his wounds later at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to his mother Valerie Castle, WCCO reports.

Castile was driving and his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds was in the passenger seat when they were pulled over for a broken taillight.

Reynolds’ 4-year-old daughter was in the back seat. The police officer shot and killed him as he tried to produce his ID and a driver’s license.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) named the cop who fired on Castile as officer Jeronimo Yanez, 28. It also identified another cop on the scene as officer Joseph Kauser. Both officers have been with the St. Anthony Police Department for four years.

Yanez opened fire on Castile Wednesday, and footage of the aftermath – in which the school worker lost consciousness – was live-streamed through Facebook by Castile’s girlfriend Diamond Reynolds.
