The Yoruba movie industry recently mourned the death of two top practitioners, sikiru Adeshina(Arakangudu) from yoruba genre due to heart Attack and mike Odiachi from the English genre owing to complications arising from diabetes and high blood pressure has lost yet another Colleague to the cold hands of death.

As the industry is yet to recover from the shock of the untimely death of these two members, the news of the death of shakirudeen Olakunle Akindele, a budding artiste majorly on the yoruba genre filtered out like a discomforting gas.

The 34-year old actor died in the early hour of Wednesday, 17th of feb 2016 from a strange attack and buried the following day the 18th of feb, according to muslim rites had put in over a decade of struggle into the industry.

Just when the talented kunle Akindele who had been trying so hard to make his impact felt in the industry started making a mark before death came calling and snuffed his life out,putting off the strong and energetic flame of creativity.

Olakunle Akindele who was survived by aged parents,siblings and a wife and son based in UK played the role of jamo,a prominent character in civilian barracks, a comedy series by mega creations, kunle also played the role of olumegbon, olofin’s first son in the multi million naira epic drama on history of Lagos “Eko the blessing of olofin ”a yet to debut fantastic creative work of art from lamour synergy!

To further buttress the point that the death came when things started falling in place for the late kunle Akindele was the fact that he had been successful with the U.K visa he had been seeking for over four years and was finalizing the plan to move over to England and join his wife who relocated 2years ago and his 2-year old Son, Olakunle akindele had also started trying his hands on directing and had successfully directed a couple of flicks.

The death which occurred in a mysterious way through an attack that just came suddenly on the hale and hearty kunle who was awaiting a friend for an outing that morning nevertheless seen as been spiritual.

His colleagues are however planning a candle light procession for the late Olakunle Akindele who had gone too soon from their midst according to the planner of the event Olawale Kosemani(Easy) a production manager and producer would make all his efforts in the industry not to go in vein…may Allah in his infinite mercy grant Olakunle shakirudeen Akindele a blissful and eternal rest…
