A class four teacher in Atlanta, USA, is facing criticism for wearing form-fitting attire to work.

Patrice ‘Tricey’ Brown, a paraprofessional for Atlanta Public Schools, posted several pictures of herself to her now-private Instagram account.

The pictures immediately sparked outrage with many complaining that her dresses were not suitable for teaching.

“She’s curvy (great figure) but her clothing is not appropriate for her profession,” one online commenter said.

“I think she’s beautiful and has a great body, however, I don’t think wearing clothing as tight as sausage casing is appropriate in a school atmosphere…..out of school, fine,” another said.

Others, however, defended Brown with the argument that any cloth she wore would cling to her because she was curvy.

“I support #teacherbae not cause she fine but what she was wearing was appropriate, she just has curves, you need relax if you’re mad,” one person tweeted.

Another wrote: “Black women w/ curvy bodies are immediately judged and sexualized for something they have no control over.”

Reacting to the controversy, Brown said she preferred that people focused on the knowledge she was imparting to kids rather than on her attire.

“I just wish they would respect me and focus on the positive and what truly matters, which is educating the children of the future generations and providing and caring for them,” she told the Daily Dot.
