A video of popular UK-based Nigerian clergyman, Tobi Adegboyega’s choir performing Davido’s hit track, “Stand Strong,” during a church service has raised eyebrows.

During a recent service at the Salvation Proclaimer Ministries Church (SPAC Nation), founded by Pastor Tobi, the choir dedicated their music to the grieving singer who lost his 3-year-old son.

A video that was shared on social media by Davido’s close friend, Cubana Chiefpriest, showed the moment the clergyman joined his choir on the pulpit to perform Davido’s “Stand Strong” during the special service.

Chiefpriest shared the video on his Instagram page with the caption, “Our Steps Are Guided By Jehovah @davido @thechefchi God Must Fix Us, God Is Our Only BackUp, We Stand Strong With You Guys And We Are Coming Out Of This Together. Our Triplets Are Sure Loading %…. So Help Us God Amen🙏”.

The video has elicited a flurry of comments from Nigerians on social media who noted that the song is inappropriate for the gathering.

Reacting an Instagram user wrote, “Pure rubbish. It’s so annoying what they have turned the house of God into, singing the praises of another person inside church, chai money matter”.
