Veteran comic-actor, Olaniyi Afonja, popularly known as Sanyeri, has disclosed that he regrets dropping out of school to pursue his acting career.
The talented thespian, who has spent over three decades in the Nigerian movie industry, made this disclosure in a recent interview with media personality Olamide Famuwagun.
Sanyeri noted that he might have missed the opportunity to put his talent into use if he had not dropped out of school, but even at that, he regrets dropping out of school.
Speaking further, he revealed that he is currently enrolled in classes at a private university in Nigeria to further his education. He also mentioned that he has a personal teacher who is teaching him how to communicate fluently in English.
“Yes, I regretted my decision to stop schooling but on the other hand, I also thank God because I’m sure if I had gone to school, I might have missed putting to use this great talent. I’m working on myself more than ever before and I have a personal teacher who teaches me how to communicate fluently in English. I’m also currently taking some classes in a private university in Nigeria.” The 47-year-old actor said.
Meanwhile, Sanyeri recently took to his Instagram page to share a video of his two adorable kids and it really got people talking.
In the video, the Kids spoke with an American Accent thanking fans for supporting their father and it was quite shocking to some netizens that Sanyeri’s kids are not based/did not grow up in Nigeria.
Sanyeri has also receieved praises from his fans over the decision he made to raise his kids abroad.
According to some Netizens, Sanyeri has made a very good investment with the that decision and it will surely pay off in the future.
