A video of a lady whose landlady locked her in because she allows visitors into the apartment is making the rounds online.
According to the young lady, her landlady had restricted her from bringing visitors to the apartment, despite paying rent. She recounted that when her siblings celebrated their birthday, she invited them over so she could cook for them. Her landlady turned off the water from getting upstairs, and they had to use sachet water to make the food. Her younger sister needed to take her bath, so she went to the landlady to complain about the water, and it turned into a quarrel. They now came to an agreement that the lady would pay be paying 4,000 naira for water.
She also noticed that the landlady gets rude and inflates prices each time she goes to her store to get provisions, so she stopped going there. One evening she stepped out to get something to eat at another store, and when she got back, the water upstairs was turned off again. She had to go and buy sachet water to take her bath.
The next morning she decided to go and complain to her about not having water, when she realized that the landlady had locked the gate, and warned that no other person should come in to meet her, and if she needs to go out she should call her. Two of them then got into a confrontation, that the girl reminded her that she is a tenant and not her kid.
