Popular Nigerian singer-songwriter, Simi has taken a swipe against people who shame others for doing honest hard work to eat.
In a tweet she shared, the singer stated that such people are dumb and also broke in their “dirty belief”.
Simi tweeted;
If you shame people for doing honest, hard work to eat, talmbout “they are peasants”, you dumb. Meanwhile you broke. Broke and proud and loud af in ur dirty briefs.
Recall that the singer received an award at the just concluded Headies Award, which held its 14th edition on Sunday, February 21.
The singer went home with the award for the “Songwriter of the Year” category with her hit song “Duduke”.
Nigerian singer, Simi also took time to appreciate her little princess, Deja for inspiring her hit track “Duduke” which bagged an award at the Headies.
According to her, the lyrics of the song, which enjoyed airplay for months and was also used in social media challenges, was inspired by her first pregnancy.
Taking to her Instagram page to acknowledge the award and appreciate her daughter for inspiring the song.
She wrote, “Simi Army…Deja thank you for inspiring me”.
