A Ugandan man has taken to social media to announce the end of his relationship, months after he proposed to his woman.
The young man identified on Twitter as “Mr. Kilo” had proposed marriage to his girlfriend in 2021 and taken to his handle to share beautiful moments from the romantic proposal.
“She said yes on my birthday and i have never been soo excited all my life. Love is a beautiful thing”, he captioned the post.
However, while fans and followers would have been anticipating their wedding, on Friday morning, January 6, 2023, he dropped the shocker that they are no longer together.
Quoting the proposal post from 2021, he noted that he tried his best, but sadly, it ended in tears for him.
“It ended in tears but we move. I did my very best but unfortunately things didn’t go as planned, back on these streets.” He wrote.
In other news, a Nigerian man got very emotional at his wife’s birthday celebration as he recounted how she stood by him and supported him when he had nothing.
In a video making the rounds online, the proud husband can be seen fighting back tears while giving a speech at his wife’s 40th birthday party.
Showering encomiums on his wife in the presence of family and friends who graced the occasion, the man appreciated his wife for believing in his dream and sticking with him even when he had no money.
He described her as a virtuous woman who stands out among other women. He also thanked her for instilling values in their kds.
“You did not follow money, you followed a man with a vison, you followed dream. She stood by me, she encouraged me in the middle of the storm. To me that’s why you stand out, you stood by me when I had nothing”, he said in part.
