In a shocking turn of events, Reverend Oscar Mukahanana, a prominent figure within the United Methodist Church in Harare, Zimbabwe, has taken his own life following a scandal that rocked the local congregation.

Reverend Mukahanana, who served as the Harare East District Superintendent, was found dead on Friday after an alleged affair with a female youth in the church came to light.

The scandal unfolded when a clandestine audio recording of a private conversation between Reverend Mukahanana and the young woman was leaked on the church’s WhatsApp group.

As news of the scandal spread, the reverend became the target of ridicule within the church community.

This intensified the humiliation and embarrassment Reverend Mukahanana felt, ultimately pushing him to take his own life.

The United Methodist Church Harare District released a statement confirming Reverend Mukahanana’s untimely death and expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
