Nollywood actress, Blessing Obasi, has spoken candidly about her feelings of alienation before marriage and the reasons behind her delayed marriage.
Blessing shared her story on Instagram on Tuesday, February 6, in response to a talk show on the challenges and expectations faced by single women.
The mother of one explained that choosing to marry later in life was more than simply her decision; it also involved overcoming societal pressure, finding her own identity, and being resilient.
She wrote;

The pressure and stigma were like unwelcome shadows, whispering doubts and casting long, lonely nights. But in those moments of solitude, I found strength. I learned that love isn’t a race, nor is marriage a trophy for early achievement. It’s about finding someone who understands the chapters of your past and wants to write the future ones with you.
