Controversial Big Brother Naija star, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has asserted that polygamy is strictly for rich men, not broke men.
She made this statement during a recent episode of her podcast “Spill with Phyna” while discussing the topic with her co-star, Tacha.
Supporting her argument with examples, she claimed that Yul’s decision to marry his second wife, Judy Austin, would have been more acceptable to his first wife, May, if he were very wealthy.
According to her, money plays a significant role in making polygamous marriages successful, citing the example of billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko, who has six wives, including popular actress Regina Daniels.
Comparing Ned’s situation to Yul’s, Phyna expressed the opinion that May would have been more accepting of her husband’s decision to take a second wife if he were a high-net-worth individual.
