Survives Gunshot Wounds

A two-year-old, identified as Mary Shantel was wounded by a stray bullet as opposition protested against a presidential vote re-run in Kenya.

According to her mother, Lydia Kageha, she was playing outside the house with her friends when she fell in pain. The child was then immediately transferred to a hospital where a doctor removed a bullet lodged in her shoulder.

The incident took place in Kisumu, where another child, a boy was shot dead in the violence a day before.
