A woman has taken to the media to address women who discredit marriage yet still make efforts to get a husband.
She started by asking her fellow women who insist marriage is not an achievement: why women crowd out when the pastor wants to pray for women in need of a spouse, who then are the women who wait to see the pastor because they need a husband?, who are the women who are dating married men with the hope that he divorces his wife for them? It is not an achievement, but the same women throw themselves at married men. If it is not, then the women should stop trying to break other women’s homes. “Marriage is a big time achievement”, she concluded.
“Marriage is not an achievement in itself. Getting married is a personal decision, just like choosing to build a career, become financially independent, or focus on personal growth. Marriage comes with commitment and responsibility, but it doesn’t automatically mean someone has succeeded in life. And being unmarried doesn’t mean someone is failing either. Let’s stop treating marriage like the ultimate prize in life. Getting married is a milestone, not proof that you’ve made it in life”, a lady reacts.
