bishop oyedepo support

Founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has finally lent his voice to the ongoing nationwide #EndSARS protest, thus joining the likes of Pst. Adeboye, Pst. Sam Adeyemi, etc.

Bishop Oyedepo declares

The clergyman while speaking to his congregation today, October 18 spoke in support of the fight against police brutality and extrajudicial killings.

According to him, the youths have the right to express their displeasure and pains with the system that has little value for human life.

He also addressed the attacks on peaceful protesters, stating that it would be a sacrilege to shoot protesters who are neither looting, nor violent.

In his words,

“The most gruesome season in the history of the nation is the last 5 years where lives have no value, wanton killings here and there.

“Now they have faced the youth and because they don’t know who is next, they have the right to say ‘enough is enough’. Any system that has no value for human lives is irrelevant. If they were killed when they were youths, would they be where they are today?

“It would be a sacrilege to shoot the protesters who are not looting, who are not ravaging.”
