Recall yesterday, Bishop Oyedepo had warned critics not to criticize the fees of Covenant University in order to avoid the wrath of God.

Now, a Facebook User shared images of the University’s School fees structure for their newly admitted 100 level students and wrote:

This is Covenant University’s School Fees For 100 Level Students. And I want to ask, how can an average Nigerian church member afford this?

If you are David Oyedepo’s church member and you are on my Facebook, you are free to insult me, but before you do it, first go home and think and do the calculations yourself. If you are a Living Faith church member and your father is earning N100,000 per month, I’m sure he won’t like to disgrace himself by putting you in this school.

Now ask yourselves, what is the gain of those average and poor people who have contributed and are still contributing to the progress of this university? Oh, their gain must be in Heaven, huh?

    • That’s not my business to dictate who is real or fake.people should be wise no one is forcing anyone to school there! If it’s too much for you go to others.we have not less than 100 universities in Nigeria! Am sure he didn’t come to anyone’s house to say come to covenant and school.#thinkpeople#?

    • Point of correction not to go against but to buttress ya point Gladys Nayor….Christ didn’t just help the poor…He was for the poor…and that’s why he even came thru a poor family…He didn’t choose to come from a royal family or a rich home…just to make sure his messages were clearly delivered but these days men of God get private jets n really expensive stuffs like Bentleys n shyt…lol..do u see the contrast?

    • Uncle wateva our little offerings nd tithes are used 4 is not suppose 2 b our concern cos we r nt giving it 2 our pastors, we are only obeying scriptures so stop lamenting, u can aswell stop giving ur offerings so it wnt b used to build schools nd own properties

    • If i may ask Osarugue Aghama what was supposed to be the use of those tithes and offerings? For the church to build schools it’s average members kid can’t attend? For pastors to buy cars, leave big while the poor amidst the congregation leave below board? To buy private jets? To mention a few…… I mean’ the aim of the tithes and offerings re being defeated. Jesus clearly painted it, that to be a master, you must be a servant, ie serve the congregation. You might ask how….? By helping the poor and needy.. But is that the case with today So called Pastors??? We’ve gotta all open our eyes to reality, i mean’ all this happenings had long been foretold in the Scripture.

    • Can u sincerely compare the times and periods the said missionaries came to the times, seasons and periods we are living in? Most of u talking here your total church offerings for one year cannot buy the cheapest microphone not to talk of building a university. You go to clubs and pay for tickets in thousands and u go to Church and drop twenty naira and u are here talking against a man who has blessed and assisted millions and generations around the world. How many members of Winners Chapel who gave for the building of Covenant University have you seen complaining here? And how many of you talking carelessly here gave a dime for this purpose either? You won’t blame your corrupt and unproductive govt who have failed you. You are blaming a man who’s a blessing to humanity. No wonder people suffer incurable and irreversible tragedies in life that they can’t explain. KEEP TALKING ANY HOW.     • @ Goshen if people are suffering so many incurable and irreversible tragedies in life that they can’t explain because they criticized the private business of a pastor, then God would have destroyed the world for abusing, tempting, persecuting and finally killing his son Jesus. I don’t agree with you, God doesn’t work like that. You think he does but he doesn’t. Bill gates is not a pastor, but he has single handedly spent billions of dollars in Africa over the last decade combating malaria, healthcare and education through the bill and Melinda gate foundation. We are to do more to do more you know. Then again, He is a man of God and I am not Fodder so u can’t say anything.

    • @ Solomon Joseph u see criticism is cheap. U mentioned Bill Gates because u think he not being a pastor has done more than Bishop Oyedepo. May be you all want every pastor to come tv , newspapers, etc to announce who and who they give scholarships to and once you can’t hear or watch it on TV, you conclude they aren’t doing so. The best example u should give is to also become a pastor, build a university and give scholarship to everybody. Until one succeeds in doing what u are condemning someone else of not doing, the Bible calls it judging others and it’s hypocrisy. If u read your Bible carefully, you’ll discover that God hates unnecessary criticisms. And let me remind u that those who hate, reject and persecute our Lord Jesus Christ will face the judgment. Read your Bible again!

    • God said u should pay tithe so that there would be food in the Lord’s house but these days the opposite is the case. Money for tithe is being diverted to personal property and family business while the people can not find food in God’s house. David keep food in the temple and people communally partake. Churches this end time are more or less business ventures.

At least the kids are receiving the quality education that they paid for. Now i understand what Papa meant by God’s blessings makes rich and attract envy. When he was toiling and striving to make sure the mandate din die in it’s early stage now God has bless him and make him a blessing to his generation now everyone is talking. Go to covenant university and first take a look at the school environment, then check the qualified lecturers that are there you won’t open that mouth to criticize again, where do you want him to get money to pay those lecturers?   72. It is costly to run educational institutions in Nigeria. Covenant University runs it’s private power station. Since inception light has never gone of there for 12 years. There are similar institutions in Nigeria charging more than what Covenant University charges. The university has the best library in Africa, the best research centre also in Africa and the best private university in Nigeria. All these cannot be possible without money. So why the noise?
    The simple thing here is that university should be a matter of choice. I attended public primary and secondary schools when my parents could not afford private schools. We all have our choices to make. Enough of castigating the man of God.
