Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is confident of ending his career with more Ballon d’Ors than his all-time rival, Lionel Messi. The 34-year old Portugal captain was speaking on ITV’s Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan when he made the announcement.

He said he is a deserving candidate for the prestigious award and would love to win more!

Both Ronaldo and Messi are tied with winning the renowned France Football magazine trophy at 5-5. But Ronaldo is not satisfied. He said that Messi is already in the history of football, but he would love to win six, seven, or eight Ballon d’Ors to beat Messi at his game.

We will only have to wait and see if he is really able to win big as one might be able to do on sports betting sites like Betway.

The ex-United and Real Madrid star is also the winner of five champion leagues medals and has quite a few striking performances. Portugal won the 2016 European Championship and 2019 Nations League tournaments under his captainship too.

Records seem to come to Ronaldo easily as he said that he doesn’t follow records, but the records follow him. Ronaldo also added that he was addicted to success, and doesn’t think of it as a bad thing- instead he thinks it’s good, just like you win in Betway.

He said that his addiction to success is a strong motivating factor. And if you are not motivated, it’s better to give up.

The Portugal captain also shed some light over his relationship with Messi. Ronaldo said that Messi is not a friend to him and they have shared that stage for 15-years. He believes that He pushed Messi to be a good player while Messi also provided the same inspiration to him.

Both Messi and Ronaldo failed to win the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award which was bagged by Liverpool champ Virgil van Dijk. But Ronaldo has been having a great time and increased his number of trophies at both club and international level.

He made it clear that he wants to end his career and be remembered as the greatest player of all time. Ronaldo’s desire is not very far-fetched if one considers his performance and 145 individual records.

Ronaldo said he’s sure of his place in the history of football for what he has done and continues to do. He thinks of himself as one of the best players in history and as number one. He also added that it doesn’t matter if someone considers him second and not number one.

Ronaldo also had an emotional moment attending the interview. He started crying as he was shown a never-before-seen interview featuring his late father.

The Juventus superstar said that it’s his obsession to win and go after success. He has also made his sacrifices and worked hard to achieve success. Ronaldo feels that talent is not enough and he dedicates so much that records have become a part of him.

Ronaldo also spoke about his gratitude towards his mother for her support.
