The President-elect of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared support for renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, on her quest to break the Guinness World Record for the highest cooking time by an individual.
The 27-year-old chef has captured media attention since she began her 4-day cooking marathon on Friday, May 12, in a bid to shatter the existing record held by Chef Lata London, who cooked non-stop for 87 hours, 45 minutes in Rewa, India, in 2019.
The groundbreaking attempt to break the record has been broadcasted live on social media for people all over the world to witness Hilda’s remarkable cooking feat.
During a live stream on Sunday, President-elect Bola Tinubu joined the session with his official Instagram handle to express his support for the talented chef, who hails from Akwa-Ibom.
The APC chieftain hailed Hilda using the trending slang “Idan” and said he is rooting for her to surpass the existing record.
“IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We are rooting for you Hilda,” he wrote.

The vice-president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, also placed a call through to Hilda on Sunday to personally convey his support for her.
Also, other Nigerian celebrities including Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Charles Okocha, Banky W, Spyro, others, have also declared support for the famous chef.
