Jamb releases 2017 UTME results

Officials of The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has said it has released results of Candidates who wrote the Computer Based Test on Saturday, 13th May.

An official from Abuja revealed 57,000 candidates wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, on saturday, and the results have been released.

This is coming after some fraudsters allegedly duped some of the candidates by selling fake exam questions, tagged as “origi”. Vanguard reports that the “origi” were sold for N200,000.

JAMB later discovered that the questions were that of 1984.

Yesterday, 15th of May, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede spoke to journalists after he monitored the exams on Monday, and disclosed that the results of 57,000 candidates who wrote on Saturday have been released.

He also revealed that some UTME candidates whose centre was LAUTECH could not write theirs because of the ongoing strike in the institution, adding that if the strike was not called off by today (Monday), the authorities of JAMB will have no other option than to relocate the candidates to University of Ilorin which he said was the nearest centre from Ogbomosho.
