Nollywood actress, Didi Ekanem has taken to her social media page to advise young women to financially empower themselves before marriage.
The movie star, who frowned at the fact that married women beg her for money daily, advised younger ladies to start any business they can start now no matter how small it may seem.
Her post reads;
As a young woman with no husband and children, this is the time to set yourself up financially.
You have all the energy now to make your own money before these responsibilities.
Marriage is not a ticket to financial freedom. I know how many married woman beg me for money daily.
Start up a business even if na to sell okro and crayfish, sell it and sell it big. No business wey no dey yield profit. Some marriages come with combined efforts financially… so prepare not to lack on your own part. May God equip you with all the strength and wisdom to run that business you have been planning since.
