Nigerian singer Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Isreal DMW, has revealed that he met his wife, Sheila Courage, as a virgin.
Isreal made this disclosure via his Instagram stories on Sunday while responding to critics who were trolling him over his wife’s age.
It was earlier reported that Isreal, a close aide to Davido, sparked reactions online after stating that his wife, Sheila, was 22 years old as he celebrated her birthday yesterday, June 4.
Following his revelation, critics trolled him for lying about his wife’s age, claiming that she looked older than 22.
Responding to their criticism, Isreal explained on his Instagram story that he met her as a virgin and married her at the age of 21.
Hailing his wife, he wrote,
“My dearest wife, meeting you as a full virgin at 21 makes me the happiest man forever. It is never common in Benin and Nigeria, never at all. Thanks so much.”
Isreal DMW and Sheila Courage tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in October 2022.

“I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget. I was in a Prado, and I looked behind, and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma. I told Lat (Davido’s personal assistant), ‘Omo, I like that girl. Go and call that girl for me.”
However, the early attempts to make contact were unsuccessful since Chioma failed to respond but destiny stepped in, and she eventually found her way to Lagos, where they met up again.
