Award-winning American actress, Keke Palmer has revealed that she doesn’t believe in “girlfriend and boyfriend” relationship and she considers herself single till she’s legally married.

In a video she shared on her Instagram page, the 27-year-old actress addressed men who hold ladies down without having any intention of marriage.

She stated that she is not interested in getting locked down in that kind of situationship so she’d rather remain friends with the man.

She said, “Dudes be like, I want you to be my girlfriend. But are you going to marry me? Because I’m not trying to be locked into nothing unless you’re going to lock me in for life. Because we can just be friends and kick it until you’re ready to go.”

Nigerian actress, Tayo Sobola otherwise known as Sotayogaga, has revealed that she will not take any movie role that would bring displeasure to her husband.

The actress, who recently disclosed her marital status but kept her husband off social media, stated this in a recent interview with Saturday Beats.

According to her, although her husband understands that she is an actress, she would never disrespect him by being too intimate with an actor on set.

In her words,

“Even before I got married, I was selective about the kind of roles I portrayed as an actor. My husband is quite understanding and he knew I was a filmmaker before we got married. However, as a respected wife, I would not play any role that my husband won’t be happy with, such as being too intimate with the opposite sex.

It has been a sweet experience since the day we started dating till now that we are a married couple. Obviously, there will be ups and downs, just like in any relationship, but we are mature enough to handle things.

I had known my husband for about seven years before we got married and I am still the same person. I usually call myself the ‘lane minder’. The most important thing is that being married attracts a lot more respect than when I was single. It is a phase in life and we are flowing gradually with it.

Nigerian plus-sized model and fashion designer, Monalisa Stephen has revealed she would rather opt for adoption than have children of her own.

Monalisa in a recent interview with the Sun, said she took the decision never to bear her own children as a teenager and she’s is still standing by the decision.

“Yes, I am still standing on my decision not to have my own kids. It was a decision I took when I was 16. I will rather go for adoption than have my own children. In a new interview with Vanguard, the actress has opened up on the reason why she is making that critical life decision.

Kenyan woman who accused Nigerian man of defrauding her changes her statement, tells court she loaned him the money

A woman identified as Bella Bronislavia, has stunned the court after she has admitted to falsely accusing a Nigerian man, Edwin Chukwudiebere Okoye, of defrauding her.

The Nairobi based woman made a U-turn and admitted that she was the one who loaned him the said cash.

In December 2020, Okoye was charged with obtaining money by false pretense after being accused of swindling his Kenyan girlfriend Sh31 million.

Okoye was accused of conspiring with other people to defraud the womanbetween May 2017 and May 2018.

Appearing virtually before Senior Magistrate Derrick Kutto at Kibera Law courts on Friday, April 16, Bella said that she had loaned Edwin Okoye Sh31 million to invest in his business but he struggled to pay back prompting her to move to court.

Bella further admitted that Okoye refunded her Ksh500,00 days prior to the suspect being arrested by the police.

She was, however, unable to explain to the court why she resorted to incriminate Okoye and for also lying to the court despite voluntarily assisting the suspect.

Okoye in his defence said that he was amicably settling the matter with the complainant.

Nigerian Rapper, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, has released an official statement after he was arrested by NDLEA officials for allegedly being possession of Cannabis.

On Wednesday, April 14, NDLEA operatives stormed the rapper’s Lekki home and arrested him after they got intelligence that he was in possession of the banned substance known locally as ”loud”

He has now released an official statement.

The statement reads in part: “I have never been in possession of any illegal substance in whatever form, neither have I ever had any cause to process, traffic, sell or use any illegal substance.”

A Nigerian lady has narrated how her parents turned on her after a pastor accused her of being a witch when she was barely 10-years-old.

The lady, identified as @Chika_Blairsseen on Twitter, revealed that the pastor labelled her a witch and accused her of hindering her father’s progress because of her big eyeballs.

According to her, it was her mother who took her father to the pastor’s church. She said he kept on shouting at her to “release his business” with disgust and anger in his eyes.

South African Rapper, AKA’s fiancee, Nelli has finally been committed to mother earth.

Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe was laid to rest in KwaZulu-Natal. Her funeral was streamed on YouTube. Her family is still grief-stricken and AKA is still in disbelief.

Speaking at the funeral, Nelli’s dad said that his daughter was not suffering from depression, and he believes her death was not due to suicide.

In a letter read by businessman Sandile Zungu, Tembe said his daughter was neither suicidal nor did she commit suicide.

“As Anele’s father, I categorically state that Anele was neither suicidal nor did she commit suicide. We must as a matter of priority deal with the scourge that bedevils our youth. Alcohol which is overused and drugs. Fellow South Africans we better wake up and smell the coffee, we have a serious problem with substance abuse.” he wrote.

“I cannot allow an unfortunate narrative to go unchallenged, a narrative that irks me to no end … that is ‘Anele was chronically suicidal’. All I can say is, until Anele turned 21, not a single member of her family, my family would have associated her with suicide.”

“You don’t have anyone else except God” – Rapper CDQ’s mother encourages son amid NDLEA saga

Mother of indigenous rapper, CDQ has given some words of encouragement to her son amid his alleged pending case with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Recall that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, recently claimed that the Nigerian Rapper was arrested for being in possession of Cannabis.

The spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, told PUNCH that the agency got intelligence that the rapper was in possession of the banned substance locally known as “Loud” and stormed his Lekki home and arrested him. Babafemi said he has been granted bail but is expected back into custody today as he is still under investigation.

In reaction to news peddling around about him, CDQ in a tweet revealed that his mum has been supporting him and encouraging him with her motherly words.

“My mum just said mio leyan shugbon mo ni Olohun. eleshe nimi o shugbon mio ba t’eda je ri. fi gbogbo ija e le fun Olohun whoever is behind all these false accusations it shall boomerang on them and their family… They can’t spoil d name I built with sweat n blood. Yeh Yeh”, he tweeted.

Hot-tempered husband burns wife’s credentials during a fight

A lady has taken to social media to narrate the length an angry husband went to get back at his wife during a brawl, in their home in Abuja.

According to the Twitter user identified as, @Gwarimpagirl who claimed to be the colleague of the wife, the couple got into a heated argument, and to get back at his wife, the hot-tempered husband reportedly burnt all her credentials.

In anger he burnt all her important documents, including her primary school certificate to NYSC certificate.

Narrating the incident, the Twitter user wrote,

“My colleague got into a fight with a husband then he took all credentials and burnt it.

Original EVERYTHING from primary cert to Nysc, The definition of pure evil. Anyone who does this can kill”.
