A 57 year old woman, Barbara Higgins has welcomed a baby boy with her 65-year-old husband, Kenny Banzhoff, five years after losing their only daughter.

Higgins who lost her 13-year-old daughter, Molly, to a brain tumor in 2016, gave birth to a bouncy baby boy on Saturday, March 20th.

The couple from Concord in New Hampshire, US, revealed they are excited about the new addition to their family. According to the new mum she desired another child after her daughter Molly’s death in 2016, and has started dreaming about it before it eventually became a reality.

She said,

“In 2016 my daughter Molly died from an undiagnosed brain tumor. (It) was a traumatic, life-altering, horrifying experience. It hobbles you completely.

“It was a pretty persistent dream. I’d wake up with an overriding feeling that I need to have another child. I was 53 at the time.”

A popular Nigerian Twitter user, simply identified as Oluwapelumi, has called out a Lagos restaurant for denying her entry over her outfit.

Oluwapelumi took to Twitter to express her displeasure with the restaurant located in VI. According to her, she was not allowed entry and the security guards went on to call a prostitute.

The Grills by Delis in VI just pissed me tf off, not only did they deny me entrance from their restaurant, the security guys spent a good amount of time talking about me within hearing shot and calling me a prostitute and being stupid judgmental.

Malivelihood replies troll who accused his wife of flaunting jewelry acquired with Kogi State’s money

Celebrity Jeweler, Michael Awujoola a.k.a Malivelihood, has replied a troll who accused his wife, Deola Smart, of financing her luxury lifestyle with government funds.

Recall that Malivelihood recently tied the knot with his longtime sweetheart, Deola Smart – daughter of popular Kogi state politician, Senator Adeyemi Smart.

The wedding ceremony was topnotch as the jeweler gifted his wife a brand new Porshe Cayenne at their traditional wedding. Several expensive items were also given out as souvenir to wedding guests.

Months after their wedding, Deola Smart took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself cruising in her car and the shot captured her expensive jewelry and wristwatch.

In reaction to her post, a troll attacked her for spending Kogi state public funds on the luxurious jewelry.

He wrote, “Kogites’s money is being brandished here”.

Malivelihood instantly rushed to his wife’s rescue and lambasted the troll for his weighty accusation.

BBNaija’s Ka3na stripped off an ambassadorial deal over her performance

Former BBNaija housemate, Ka3na Jones has been officially stripped off the ambassadorial deal of an aphrodisiac brand.

The brand, Bettys Secrets, announced the termination of their contract on Thursday, March 25.

In a statement released on their official Instagram page, they pointed out that Ka3na’s pattern of representation and performance was not favourable to their brand.

Read as they wrote below,

“Hi Bettified gang, recall recently that we signed Ka3na as our ambassador, unfortunately the performance of the deal was not working in accordance with our brand’s style and her pattern of representation was not favourable to the brand.

I wish to inform you all that consequent upon this reason, we had to end the deal with Ka3na. We shall unveil our new influencer in no distance time.”

The mother-of-one, who cancelled her proposed reality show “Keeping Up With The Jones” to focus on brand influencing, has also confirmed the end of her relationship with the brand.

Nollywood actress, Jemima Osunde has rained hefty curses on a Twitter user who asked for Ebuka Obi-Uchendu to be replaced as the host of BBNaija reality show.

A major controversy broke out on social media after the organizers of the reality show announced the return of season 6. Some netizens opined that Ebuka should have a female co-host or get replaced entirely.

A Twitter user also pitched his own argument. According to him, Ebuka has had a good run on the show and should be replaced by Frank Edoho, the phenomenal host of MTN’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.

“Ebuka don eat small, make him allow another person chop! Frank Edoho as BBNaija host for this season won’t be a bad chance tho Eviction night go choke gan!!!” he wrote.

Jemima Osunde was infuriated by the tweet and fired back at the Twitter user for his insensitive statement.

A Nigerian guy, Charlie, has reportedly drowned and this comes as a shocker to all as this is coming after he shared a post about death on his Facebook wall.

Charlie, a resident of Abuja, on the 23rd of March, shared a post by Ydk Meera about how everyone will claim to be herr friend when she dies.

“When I die everybody gonna swear they were my dawg ! But who fwm rn?” Ydk Meera wrote.

Charles shared the post on his Facebook wall, agreeing with what she wrote.

“Swrs they gon be onG and shii. Mfs” he wrote.

That was his last post as he died the following day.

One of his friends, Cla Rita, who confirmed the incident, said that the deceased was brought out of the pool unconscious and rushed to the hospital where he died.

“He’s been buried. He didn’t die after they found him. It was when he went to the hospital. The doctor didn’t give immediate response to his health.” she said.

Rita further said that his death is suspicious as he was a good swimmer.

“For me I think someone pushed him or something. Charlie knows how to swim very well. It’s just too suspicious.” she added.

A young man is wanted after he allegedly killed his mother, and buried her in a shallow grave.

The man, identified as Chukwudi Chukwu, a native of Umumnakpi village, Egwu Achi community in Oji River, Enugu, is said to have killed his mother on Sunday, March 21.

After killing her, he reportedly decapitated her, and buried her body in a shallow grave in their compound.

He then reportedly fled and has not been seen since then.

The police has exhumed the body of the deceased and declared the man wanted.

A Nigerian couple, Hamza Alkali Kolo and Hauwa Usman, have welcomed quadruplets in Bida, Niger state.

Hauwa delivered the quadruplets, three girls and one boy at the Federal Medical Centre Bida. The ceremony was held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Ummu Amara Mosque, Essozhi, Bida.

Hamza is a graduate of Electrical Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida while Hauwa studied Community Health at School of Health Technology in Minna. Both are currently unemployed.

British University to return stolen Benin Bronze to Nigeria

British University, University of Aberdeen has announced that it will be returning a Benin Bronze to Nigeria, after Britain looted the sculptures.

The bronze sculpture is one of the thousands of metal and ivory sculptures as well as carvings stolen by British authorities during an invasion of Benin City in 1897. The monumental items were sold to museums, given as gifts to museums or sold at auctions/art deal.

The University of Aberdeen acquired the bronze sculpture showing an Oba (king) of Benin in 1957 at an auction. However, they have decided to return it to its origin, Nigeria.

The statement released by the university reads,

The University of Aberdeen is to return a Benin bronze, the first-ever fully repatriated to Nigeria by a museum. The University announced it would return the sculpture more than 125 years after it was looted by British forces.

An ongoing review of the collections identified the Head of an Oba as having been acquired in a way that we now consider to have been extremely immoral, so we took a proactive approach to identify the appropriate people to discuss what to do,” the school said as it became the first institution to agree to the full repatriation from a museum of a Benin bronze.

It would not have been right to have retained an item of such great cultural importance that was acquired in such reprehensible circumstances.

We, therefore, decided that an unconditional return is the most appropriate action we can take, and are grateful for the close collaboration with our partners.
