Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has threatened to drag any of her friends and colleagues who openly support or campaign for politicians who have been in power for years.
The 33 year-old film star took to her Instagram page to make her intentions known. According to her, she won’t spare anyone in the entertainment industry who campaigns for the comeback of a former leader.

A lady, identified as Colette Offiong Bassey, has made history in the prestigious University of Calabar (UNICAL) as she breaks a 44 year old record in the department of Linguistics and Communication Studies.
The mother of one, who was heavily pregnant during her final exams, defied all odds and graduated with a first class degree in her department.
Collette took to her IG page to announce her academic prowess and expressed her utmost gratitude to God and her ever-supportive husband.
Sharing photos of herself in her convocation gown and an official statement from the university, she wrote,

Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Damini ‘Burna Boy’ Ogulu, has distributed food packs to over 300 families in Kono community in Rivers state to celebrate his Grammy win.
This comes after he was hosted to a royal-like homecoming ceremony by Governor Wike in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
According to a post shared by Africa Facts Zone on Twitter, the Grammy award winner distributed relief items to less privileged families in Kono, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers state.
From the photos making rounds on social media, the food packs contain rice, garri, beans, a bottle of palm oil, spices, among other things.
Large banners that had Burna Boy’s picture were also positioned at strategic areas of the outreach location. Burna boy reportedly partnered with an NG0, The Reach Foundation, to distribute the food items.

An elderly man, Alhaji Rabe Ibrahim Jibia, reportedly slumped and died at a wedding ceremony in Katsina over the weekend.
The deceased who is the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant on Security, Daura Zone, to Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, died a wedding on Saturday.
According to viral reports, the deceased, Alhaji Jibia slumped on Saturday, March 27th, during the wedding fatiha of the daughter of the Special Adviser on Security matters to Governor Masari, Alhaji Ibrahim Katsina at Banu Commasie, GRA Katsina.
He was rushed to the Government House Hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors. His body has been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

A Nigerian couple is set to welcome a child after 25 years of waiting.

A Ghanaian woman died in a ghastly motor accident, while allegedly driving at top speed to catch her “cheating” husband.
According to viral reports, the deceased was informed that husband was spotted with another woman, said to be his side chick.
In a bid to confirm the information, the woman hurriedly drove out to where her source told her her husband was. Unfortunately, before she could get to the location she was involved in an accident and immediately lost her life.
Taking to Facebook, the Ghanaian journalist, Mabel Aku Banesseh who broke the news, wrote,

Sarah aged 99 died at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kisumu at 4.45am on Monday, March 29th, as confirmed by her daughter, Marsat Obama.
The grandmother of the former US president had been admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning, due to an illness but died barely 24 hours later.
The family of the deceased has announced that her body will be buried today Monday, March 29th at the Muslim Cemetery in Kisumu.
“We are trying to see whether we shall be able to bury her today and if not, we shall bury her tomorrow,” a relative said.

His narrative which started serving rounds on the internet is of a yahoo boy who celebrated his birthday party in a grand style last Sunday with over 50 of his friends in attendance — not long after, it’s been alleged that about 50 of those friends in attendance are dying mysteriously.
Following @pelumiawotedu’s update, some Twitter users living within the area, seconded his statement about the incident which occurred that Sunday.
A user, @ysquare_r claimed that his neighbor lost her friend, her child, and son to the strange incident. Not only that, he also claimed a man in his street attended the birthday party with four of his friends and all 5 of them are dead.
According to @ysquare_r, as at the time of counting, they were 30 dead already. The development has caused public outrage, with people wanting to know the reason behind this fatal incident, most persons are redirecting the cause for the massive deaths to be food poisoning and not anything concerning yahoo rituals.
This is because the young man who celebrated his birthday is also dead.
A young Nigerian man has shared how he was able to build a house and got married the woman of his dreams from selling groundnuts.
In an interview with Legit, the young man identified as Victor Lucky, disclosed that he dropped out from the University of Uyo in his 300 level, and depends solely on selling groundnut to make ends meet.
According to him, after several struggles with getting a white collar job, he resolved to selling groundnuts.
Victor revealed that he was able to get married and build his own house using proceeds from his groundnut business.
Narrating why he left UNIUYO, he recalled how he had gone for the Gulder Ultimate Search contest and was required to provide his admission letter. He returned to his faculty only to learn that his admission letter was nowhere to be found.
After getting a white collar job without a university degree seemed impossible, Victor went into groundnut business and has been able to sustain his family with it.

A speeding driver has lost his life and as well, claimed the life of a female pedestrian who he hit along Obiuno Road in Igbo Ukwu, Anambra State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the death of the pair in a lone accident which occurred on Saturday, March 27.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Anambra, Mr Andrew Kumapayi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN),
“an unidentified driver of a Lexus car with registration number KSF403GD was on top speed and lost control of the vehicle.
“He knocked down two women crossing the road and crashed into a building by the side of the road.
“Four people were involved in the crash – two male adults and two female adults.
“The victims were taken to Apex Hospital in Igbo Ukwu by a good Samaritan before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from Igbo Ukwu Command.
“The male passenger in the vehicle and one of the female pedestrians sustained injuries, while the driver and the other female pedestrian were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“Their bodies had been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.”

Quite a number of netizens trooped to the comment section of Billionaire wife and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels to place a comment or two over a supposed purchase of aphrodisiacs from Nigerian sex therapist, Jaruma.
Regina took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself taking delivery of Jaruma’s products which was delivered by Jaruma herself — according to Regina, she’d been buzzing Jaruma for over two months for the products not until recently before she tended to her.

Nigerian Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi has stated that women are far more intelligent than men.
The former Governor of Rivers state revealed this while talking at the second edition of the Association of Nigerian Women Business Network (ANWBN) in Abuja.
In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media Taiye Elebiyo-Edeni, Mr. Amaechi noted that women are capable of holding positions of authority in the society other than the mere 35 per cent affirmative action policy.
Amaechi said,
“I do not support male domination, neither do I support female domination. I believe that all of you seated here are qualified to rule this nation, I don’t believe that a particular seat should be set aside for a woman, reason is that, women are by far more intelligent than men.
“The Deputy Secretary- General of the United Nations, Amina Muhammed was selected not because she was a woman but because she performed excellently well in her previous position.
“When ‘I am invited to a function and women are gathered dancing, I just wonder why women should be dancing at a function; women should be taking more serious ly than dancing at a function. “When you get to the table, assert your authority as somebody who is brilliant, who is intelligent to get what others are getting.
“Don’t tell me you are on the table and should be given a position because you are a woman, don’t ask that any seat should be set aside for you, ask for your right, it is your right. Women in politics stay for meetings till 2am. So if your husband allow you to join politics, he should be ready to support you.
“Any woman I have ever given appointment merited it, but you are also a problem unto yourselves. If appointment is given to a woman, a fellow woman will start saying the man is dating the woman and that she did not get the appointment because she merited it, which is one of the reasons I stopped.”
A Facebook livestream captured the moment an Oklahoma prison officer was held hostage by prison inmates before one of them (inmates) got shot dead by police officers.
The hostage situation unfolded on Saturday evening at the Oklahoma County Jail and stopped after police officers shot and killed an inmate who took a correctional officer hostage.
Shortly after 4 p.m, a correctional officer was overrun by at least one inmate during pill pass and taken hostage. According to Greg Williams, the administrator for the Oklahoma County Jail Trust, the inmate took the officer’s radio and keys and released many of the other inmates on the 10th-floor pod.
In the livestream which took place on the Facebook page of the prison officer, an inmate looked into the camera and said that they were doing what had to be done because they have no food and cannot take showers at the jail. Another inmate is then seen standing over the crouched detention officer with his hand on the back of his neck, berating him.
The inmate holding the phone can then be heard saying that the water in the jail does not work and the toilets are backed up.
The shooting incident occurred after jail staff notified local law enforcement agencies, and officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III claimed officers tried to de-escalate the hostage situation, but shots were fired after the inmate who had the correctional officer in a “hostage position” held something to his neck.
Johnson said;
“Lethal force was taken, and the suspect was shot on scene. We were able to get the detention officer out safely.”
The correctional officer was taken to a hospital for treatment. Although authorities did not release the extent of the officer’s injuries, they said he is expected to be OK.
Police Chief Wade Gourley said the department’s investigation into the hostage situation and deadly shooting is in the preliminary stages, and he didn’t have too many details as of Saturday night. Several investigators have been called in to conduct interviews, and the Oklahoma City Police Department will take the lead on the investigation.
After the incident, a group of protesters gathered outside the jail, complaining about conditions that inmates allegedly faced behind bars.
