A 27-year-old Nigerian drug kingpin identified as Chukuda Onyabu and his 26-year-old Ghanaian counterpart Emmanuel Osei who were remanded in Abokobi Police Cells near Adenta in the Greater Accra Region, have reportedly escaped from prison.
The suspects who are facing charges of possession of narcotic drugs and conspiracy to commit crimes and stealing respectively, were detained in prison custody while awaiting the next court date.
However on January 1, 2021, it was detected that the two suspected criminals had escaped from the cells by using the iron rod used at the ventilation hole of the bathroom’s door to scrape a portion of the cell’s wall and removed one of the blocks. They reportedly escaped through the hole they created.
It was further learnt that efforts are underway to arrest the suspects whose images have been circulated to various police outlets in and outside Accra.
Controversial Nigerian rapper, Azeez Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, has confessed that he is usually in an intoxicated state regularly.

The micro-blogging website suspended Trump’s account due to the risk of ”further incitement of violence”.
A statement released by the website reads ;
After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.
In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action.
Our public interest framework exists to enable the public to hear from elected officials and world leaders directly. It is built on a principle that the people have a right to hold power to account in the open.

A 10-year-old boy, Akubuisi Okonkwo has been crowned king of Iyiora Anam kingdom in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He ascended the throne after the death of his father, His Royal Highness, Igwe Onyeachonam Okonkwo, the Olame 1 of Iyiora Anam.
His father was said to have been the youngest king in Anambra state when he ascended the throne and ruled throughout his life, before his son was coronated.
The young king was coronated as Igwe Olanme II of Iyiora Anam on Thursday, January 7, 2020, after his father was buried last December, making him the youngest king in Anambra State.
He will now be addressed as His Royal Highness (Igwe) Olanme ii of Iyiora and is expected to rule the kingdom of Iyiora throughout his lifetime.

A Nigerian man identified as Ahangba Angweh Fidelis, has reunited with a man, Samuel Akaazua, who saved his life after he was attacked by an armed robber twenty five years ago.
Fidelis who hails from Nasarawa state revealed that after the armed robber attacked him in 1996 he almost lost his life as he was in a pool of blood, when Samuel appeared at the scene, scared the robber away and rushed him to the hospital.
Few weeks ago, Fidelis travelled to Akaazua’s village to appreciate him for saving his life 25 years ago, and interestingly, both men are now in inlaws as Akaazua’s younger brother is married to Fidelis’ younger sister.
Taking to Facebook to share his story, he wrote,
“It was in the middle of June 1996 when I was attacked by an armed robber along Branch Akaazua- Mede road, who stabbed me on my lower jaw and other parts of my body with an intention to weaken or even kill me so he could steal my bike, this happened between 4-5pm.
“I was in the pool of my blood hoping for help as the road was a bit lonely, meanwhile that devil has taken over my bike but unfortunately for him the wire that supplies current to plug removed, I saw it from the point I was standing with my bloody body but he didn’t noticed it, so he was busy kicking the bike thinking it will come alive but it didn’t, not long ago I saw a man on a Yamaha Mate 90 bike approaching the scene, little did I know that he was the angel God has sent to come and rescue me, as the bike got closer, behold, it was a known face, a man that use to visit our family house, it was Mr Samuel Akaazua also know as Akamuku, it was his arrival and the role he played that scared the thief who finally took to his heels.

A Nigerian lady identified as, Caramel Goodness has cried out for help after a house she rented N450k in Lagos was demolished before she moved in.
According to Goodness, the landlord sold the house weeks after she and other tenants paid their rent, and the new buyer has demolished the house to restructure.
The aggrieved lady revealed that she paid her rent for the house in November 2020, but delayed moving in because she was busy at work, and needed to put somethings in place before moving in.
She further stated that she eventually painted the house on December 25th, and intend moving in on January 2nd when she realized the house had been demolished without prior notice or a refund of her money.

I thought something was fishy so I didn’t give him my receipt. I wanted to know if the house would be demolished. He said no.
“From what I heard, he had been getting letters since 2019 and he didn’t say anything. Two tenants and I went to his office today and he just kept shouting. He mentioned something about how it was the new landlord who called the govt to come and demolish because he didn’t want the govt to take the land.. I couldn’t get him to explain that because he kept quarrelling with the other girl. He said he was trying to work with the new landlord to get our money back but people that know him say he’s lying and he won’t

Personally I wasn’t ready to be a mother so I already made up my mind to abort the child but thought it right to inform him because he has the right to know. Surprisingly, the news got him excited and he insisted we keep the baby. He met with my people and we organized a family introduction ceremony and also made plans to properly get married once the baby is born and I moved in with him. He was great just like he was throughout the 3 years of our courtship. In the third trimester of my pregnancy, I started having preeclampsia which was very serious and I registered in different hospitals. The best hospital was close to my mum’s place so I had to move back in with my mom and this was during the lockdown so my baby Daddy couldn’t come visit us.
I passed through hell and nearly died. I was scheduled to deliver on April 28 but I had to save the baby so I had a surgery on March but the baby couldn’t still make it because the water in my womb already dried out. When my baby Daddy came around, he wasn’t happy probably because I gave birth through surgery or because the baby died. He left the same day without even asking about the bills and never came back. My mum took care of everything and ever since then, it was fr one family problem to another.

Popular Yoruba actress, Mide Funmi Martins in a recent statement shared some of the reasons why some relationships end.
According to the actress, she stated that not all relationships end because of cheating as there are other factors are involved.
In a post sighted on Mide’s wall, she mentioned other factors that can make couples part ways.
Some of the factors she listed are; lack of respect, effort, communication, love, time, and attention. She also advised couples to learn how to say “sorry” and also seek forgiveness from each other to save their relationships.
A Nigerian lady, identified as Rashy Don Koncepts has shared an alleged reason of why singer Zlatan probably blocked DJ Cuppy on social media.
Recall that billionaire daughter and singer, Cuppy recently took to her page on micro-blogging website, Twitter, to call out Zlatan Ibile for blocking her on WhatsApp and Instagram.
Rashy who claim to have gotten her information from a source close to Zlatan, alleged that the disc jockey snubbed Zlatan after Gelato became a hit.
According to the lady, Zlatan Ibile featured in Gelato for free but DJ Cuppy ignored him when the song became hits.
She tweeted,

According to someone closer to @Zlatan_Ibile, I heard the featuring he did with u was actually FREE and when it became hits u were supposed to at least Give him some dough as appreciation but instead u were behaving pompous by replying late when he tryna say Hi, u changed.
“The person told me u hardly reply his chat and when u do its always late, but during the featuring u guys were so close. U changed and he ain’t finding it cool. No vibes anymore so don’t blame him”.
Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has taken to Instagram to lament bitterly about the tedious work that goes into moving homes.
The mother of two, who is presently on vacation in the UK, appears to have made London her permanent residence as she hinted it in her recent post.
The 43-year-old complained about the stress she was going through in her new home, emphasizing that the workload is worse in London as she has do almost everything by herself.
Sharing a photo of herself sitting on the floor while battling with a dinning chair, she wrote,
“Moving homes can be so stressful, especially this London that you have to literarily do everything yourself! *whew* How is your day going my lovelies?”

Princess got married to movie actor/producer, Jeremiah Adeshola, in a quiet wedding at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 8th, 2013, and was followed by a lavish ceremony held at Balmoral Events Centre, Oregun, Lagos. But sadly the marriage ended two weeks after.
Speaking about her marriage which lasted only two weeks, in a recent interview on TVC, stated that she takes the blame for the failure of the marriage, because it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
In her words,
“I take the blame for the failure because it shouldn’t have happened. I was stupid, plain and simple.
“You know I am a romantic. Love is not enough. A counsellor said to us it is better to have a broken engagement than to have a broken marriage. Automatically I said we have given out IVs..How are we going to do that?.
When it happened, the first thought that came to my head was that we should have just cancelled since that was my birthday”. She added.
The comedienne advised anyone going through turbulent times to summon up the courage and bounce back. According to her, she stayed down for so long after her marriage crashed and it was hard for her because she also lost a baby in the process.
