The Federal Government of Nigeria has extended the deadline for the ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) integration exercise by eight weeks.
The new deadline slated for the exercise is now April 6, 2021, from the initial deadline of February 4.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration which held on February 1 2021.
At the meeting, President Muhammadu Buhari was said to have expressed deep satisfaction with the progress made regarding the NIN-SIM linkage and commended the minister and all stakeholders for their roles.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, NCC, Dr. Ike Adinde and Head of Corporate Communications, NIMC, Kayode Adegoke, Pantami said that the reason behind the extension is to give Nigerians and legal residents more time to integrate their NIN with the SIM.

Popular Instagram socialite, Ismail Mustapha a.k.a Mompha, has finally reacted to claims that he is entangled in a N157.1million fraud charge.
It was earlier reported that the Nigerian Dubai-based celebrity was named by EFCC in a fresh N157.1million fraud charge filed against an auto dealer, Sarumi Babafemi, alias 606.
It was alleged that on Monday, February 1, the EFCC brought an amended nine-count charge of January 22, 2021 against him, Babafemi, and two others, before Justice Chukwujeku Aneke.
The two other suspects are Ridwan Momodu Allison, a.k.a. Osama (said to be at large) and Richard Ogbah.
They were all accused of laundering N157.1 million for Omojadesola Shittu Allison; Olandewaju Oriyomi; Abiola Kayode Ayorinde; Bartholomew Oluchukwu Ezeudoka and Amobi Uchenna E. who reportedly received the sums of N37.6 million; N93 million; N1.5 million and N25 million respectively.
Reacting to the allegations, Mompha took to his Instagram page to share a screenshot of the news and tagged it as “lies”. He emphatically stated that the news is false and warned news outlets to stop tarnishing his image.

DMW boss, David Adeleke better known as Davido has reacted after popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy threatened to sue his aide, Israel amidst brawl between her and Zlatan Ibile.
Recall that Davido’s personal logistic manager, Isreal DMW, had revealed what happened between Nigerian singer Zlatan and DJ Cuppy.
Israel alleged that after the music collaboration between Cuppy and Zlatan, the DJ failed to give Zlatan money. He also revealed that Cuppy took the singer to Abuja for her fund raising where she made billions of Naira but refused to give Zlatan money.
According to Isreal, the accommodations and feeding expenses during Zlatan’s stay in Abuja was also paid by the singer including the expenses of his team.
Following allegations against her by Isreal, DJ Cuppy took to social media to reveal that she’s suing Davido’s aide for libel and defamation.

The Ogun State Police Command said it had commenced investigation into the alleged invasion of privacy of guests at the Pavillion Hotel, Ayepe, in the Odogbolu area of the state.

Anthony Okorodas who was sworn in as a judge of Delta State High Court by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2018, has expressed how devastated he was after a DNA test conducted on his three adult children revealed they are not his.
In a statement released by the High Court Judge, he accused his former wife Celia Juliet Ototo of cheating during their marriage which ended 11 years ago.
Okorodas who said he was first notified of the paternity fraud by an anonymous source, said the repulsive act of his ex-wife prompted him to conduct DNA tests on all his children.
Recounting how his wife walked away from their marriage when her youngest child (who is now 17 years of age) was just 6-years-old, the Judge said the DNA test uncovered that his wife cheated while still married to him.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, I thank you for attending this press conference. I have taken the decision to address the Press in respect of certain traumatic developments that have arisen between me and my ex-wife, Barrister Celia Juliet Ototo of the Ototo Family of Ovom in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It is now nearly 11 years since our separation and divorce. This Press Statement is important in order to prevent damaging speculations, half-truths and outright lies from persons who may want to cash in on the tragedy that has befallen my home.
Sometime during the coronavirus lockdowns early last year, I received information from an anonymous source that indicated that the last of the three children from my previous marriage was in fact not my biological child. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions at the time, I had to wait until August 2020 to carry out a DNA test. The DNA test result which came out in September 2020 confirmed that I was not the biological father of the child.
Consequently, I convened a joint meeting between my extended family on the one side, and Celia’s paternal and maternal families (i.e., the Ototo Family of Ovom Town and the Agbagidi Family of Yenagoa Town) on the other side, where I confronted her with the paternity fraud allegation.
Although she initially strongly insisted that I was the biological father, she has since confessed to having the child with another man during the course of our marriage.
This repulsive act of my ex-wife prompted me to conduct DNA tests in respect of the two other children. A few days ago, the results came out. Sadly, none of them is my biological child.
This abomination has caused excruciating mental trauma to me, my present wife, Barrister (Mrs) Ebi Okorodas and all of the innocent children involved. This is particularly so for Ebi, who has had to agree to have DNA tests on the four children of our own marriage. Thankfully, the test results confirm each of them to be my biological child.
It is important to state that Celia walked away from the marriage when her youngest child (who is now 17 years of age) was just 6 years old. Since then, all of her children have lived with my wife, Ebi and I, and we have been wholly responsible for their wellbeing and education.
Friends who are close to my family would readily attest to the fact that unless specifically informed, no one could tell that the children were not the biological children of my present wife.
Ebi and I would continue to support the children in any way that we can. Indeed, even after the release of the first DNA test result which proved that I was not the biological father of the last child, we have continued to pay for his education in a private boarding school. The two other children are University undergraduates. The first, a female, will be a graduate later this year, and the second will soon enter his 4th year of study. We pray for them to overcome the trauma and become responsible citizens of our country.
For Celia and her boyfriend or boyfriends, we leave them to their conscience. Thank you very much.

Former Beauty Queen, Anna Banner recently took to her social media page to highlight some struggles/challenges she has so far faced in life.
Anna Banner recounted having a baby at 20 for Singer Flavour, said she was depressed and was once suicidal at some point in her life. She disclosed that she was ashamed of her body and also ashamed of some of the decisions she made as an unmarried young lady.

For almost 6 years now, i’ve had sad birthday experiences… It was pretty frustrating, but i adviced to always wear a ”smile” to cover up the pain and sadness.
Fake it till you make it smile for my hash tag
But i had to make a personal decision to make myself happy by myself! And it feels so good!
My birthday this year is a huge reminder of how i’ve been able to pull through!
I felt like i’ve been caged for almost 6 years of my life!
Honestly, no one sees the silent struggles and pain we all go through!
All we get on social media are ”likes” and ”comments” from people who likes you, admires you or even hates you!
And Yes! We post beautiful pictures just to feel good sometimes!
We post family perfect pictures too! But we struggle to sleep at Night!
We don’t have it all figured out!
I was suicidal at some point in my life!
I never knew what depression was until i experienced it!
It wasn’t pretty at all!
I was ashamed of my body. I was ashamed of some decisions i made, i lost all my self confidence, I literally lost myself. I screamed silently for help but no one but God could hear me.
I had a beautiful baby girl at 20 (Unmarried young and a school drop-out) and 5 years later, i’m a graduate! I thought about quitting school so many times! Trust me I didn’t care anymore! It was too much for me to handle!
Mentally, I was exhausted! At some point, My daughter couldn’t recognize me! She called her Grandma Mummy instead, i was shattered
You might be going through worse but i can confidently tell you that you’ll be fine! Just don’t give up.
