An infamous thief has been nabbed in Port Harcourt, Rivers state after snatching a phone and handbag from a victim.
The incident is reported to have occurred at Chida by Ada George area of Port Harcourt on Sunday night, December 6.
According to a vigilante member, Collins Chidoka who caught the suspect, eyewitnesses said the suspect and his gang members have been terrorizing residents of the area.

A Nigerian man has narrated how his girlfriend ended up getting married to his best friend after he helped him accommodate her in Warri.

President Muhammadu Buhari, says his administration will deal firmly with “any act of hooliganism hiding behind peaceful protests.”
He stated this on Monday while virtually declaring open the Chief of Army Staff’s Annual Conference 2020 from the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari also said that although his government believed in the rights of citizens to embark on peaceful protests, such must be done responsibly.
“Let me also mention the EndSARS protest which was recently hijacked by hoodlums which resulted in loss of lives and property in many situations across the country.
“I want to reiterate our government’s commitment to the rights of citizens to embark on peaceful protests.
“However, this must be done responsibly in accordance with the laws of the land.
“I also want to state that any act of hooliganism hiding behind the peaceful protests, will be highly dealt with decisively to ensure the peace and stability of our nation.
“On this note, I commend the Nigeria Army for their efforts to swiftly restore law and order in many states during the last scale of criminality that ensued in the wake of the EndSARS protests,” he said.

A tragic incident has thrown the family and friends of one Roy Jairus Watuulo into mourning, following his death just few hours after his wedding in Kampala, Uganda.
It was gathered that Roy died in the early hours of Sunday, December 7, just hours after he tied the knot to his beautiful bride, Anitah Nabuduwa on Saturday, December 5.
According to close friends and relatives of the deceased, Roy started complaining about feeling ill moments after the wedding reception and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead around midnight.
Roy was in his late 20s before his unfortunate demise and the son of a University professor.
He and his wife had their traditional wedding ceremony in November, 2020, and officially got married on the 5th of December.
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues have taken to social media to mourn the demise of Roy.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state has reportedly suspended his Chief of Staff, Anthony Agbazuere, for spraying popular clergyman, Odumeje Indaboski, money in his office.
His suspension is contained in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem.
It reads,
“Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere.
The Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr Alozie Odoemelam, will perform the duties of the office of Chief of Staff until further notice.

Reality TV star, Tolani Shobajo otherwise known as TolaniBaj, has warmed her way into the hearts of many after she fed over 350 less-privileged persons through her foundation.
The former BBNaija housemate and her team singlehandedly fed over 350 people in the commercial city of Lagos last week.
TolaniBaj shared her new feat via a post on her social media pages. According to her, she launched her non-profit foundation “Project TBAJ” with the “Feed the people” initiative last week and she is joyful that their first outreach was a success.
Sharing a photo of her participating in an outreach in 2018, she stated that she had nursed the ambition to provide meals for local communities since then and feels blessed to finally achieve that.
The 27-year-old media personality hinted on a bigger and better plan this Christmas and appealed to her fans to support her foundation.

Months after Big Brother Naija season 5, ex-housemate, Ozo is still receiving backlash on social media over his excessive show of love on the reality TV show.
Recall that during his stay in the house, Ozo was known to be an advocate for love as he never misses any opportunity to tell his love interest, Nengi how he feels about her.
The 28-year-old consultant was always around Nengi and his actions always sparked reactions on social media, with many tagging him ‘dumb for love’.

A 41-year-old Zimbabwean woman, identified as Moreblesing Maridza has been arrested and arraigned before a court for marrying another man while still married to another.
According to the Sunday News, Moreblesing Maridza (41) of Platinum Park in Zvishavane, married another man after accusing her first husband of failing to be intimate with her for the past 12 years.
Maridza was arraigned before a court on charges of bigamy which she pleaded guilty to. She however told the court that her first husband, Mr James Chivandire had become mentally challenged and was no longer capable of performing his duties as a husband prompting her to marry the other man.
It was reported that Maridza’s first husband, Chivandire allegedly fell and suffered from mental illness in 2000, and in 2012 she went on to marry a second husband, David Mhuru who she started living with after their wedding.
Marizda was exposed in September after an officer at the Registrar-General’s office observed that she had two valid marriage certificates.
She was sentenced to six months in prison after being arraigned before a court. However, three months were suspended on condition that she pays a fine of $5 000 and the other three suspended on condition of she not committing a similar offense in the next five years.

Recall that the lady identified as Jane Obiene, warmed the heart of many after a photo of her in clutches standing in solidarity with other protesters served rounds on social media.

Controversial Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has slammed her colleague Stella Damascus for saying men don’t respect women they sleep with if not married to them.
It all happened when fellow actress, Stella Damasus advised young ladies in a viral video against premarital sex saying men don’t have much respect for women they aren’t married to but sleeps with them.
The US-based Nigerian actress added that a man who sleeps with a woman he’s not married to is disrespecting her body and Etinosa seems to disagree with her on that.

According to Etinosa, there’s nothing disrespecting if two consenting adults make love, and the notion that women are shameful when they sleep with men they aren’t married to but men are good to do so must stop.
An unidentified mum has recounted the terrifying moment she discovered the “666” symbol had appeared in photographs she had taken.
According to her, she decided to take a picture of her children while walking home on Tuesday, December 1st, after a shopping trip.
She crossed public football pitches in the Seaton area of Aberdeen in order to make her way home from the shops.
She stated that while making her way across the pitches, she snapped several photos of her children before continuing with her journey.
Daily Record reported that she only became aware of the mysterious appearance when she was looking through the pictures at home.
The “666” symbol had randomly appeared on the football pitches, and sparked concern after she shared the phots on social media.
A friend of the unidentified woman wrote, “This is some f*****g freaky s**t!, my friend took this photo the other night. I’m not superstitious but I can’t be the only one seeing the numbers ‘666’.”
666 is the “number of the beast” in the Bible’s Book of Revelations and is most commonly associated with the Devil as well as the end of the world in the apocalypse.
While the appearance of the numbers on the photos remains a mystery, netizens have tagged the appearance as “spooky”.

A medical doctor on popular micro-blogging site, Twitter is celebrating her father after he got his PhD to fulfill a promise he made to her.
Dr Maria Uloko, who became a medical doctor at 23, said her father promised her then that he will go back to school and earn his doctorate so that she wouldn’t be the only ‘doctor’ in the family.
He kept his words and earned his PHD in December. At his oral defence, he said he went back to school to fulfill his promise to his daughter.
Dr Maria’s tweets expressing pride in her father has got over 325K likes.
