The annual Enugwu-Ukwu Masquerade festival held on Saturday, December 26th.
The highlight of the cultural event was when the Ugo masquerade laid an egg, and spectators who were amazed at the unusual sight in a loud cheer praised the masquerade.

36-year-old lecturer, Major Walter Anma Isa, was reportedly shot dead by gunmen in Benue, on Christmas Eve.
Isa, until his death was a lecturer at the College of Education Katsina-Ala and PhD student of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He was among five persons killed by unknown gunmen who attacked the residence of Katsina-Ala Local Government chairman, Alfred Avalumun Atera on motorbikes a day before Christmas.
Isa has been laid to rest in his hometown today, December 29th. Friends and family have since taken to social media to mourn his demise.

The Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has instructed all churches in the state to endeavour to end their cross-over services by 11 pm on December 31, 2020.
The directive is contained in a statement signed by the Lagos State CAN chairman, Bishop Steven Adegbite.
It would be recalled that the Lagos State Government had ordered all worship centres in the state to suspend night services, vigils and cross-over events.
The state also announced a 12am to 4am curfew as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Reacting to the order, CAN in its statement said, “As part of our responsibility as a law-abiding organisation and in response to the appeal made to us by the State Government, we hereby direct that all churches should ensure their services on 31st of December, 2020 end at 11:00 pm so as to allow attendees get to their respective homes and places of rest on or before 12:00 midnight when the curfew will start.”
CAN assured the government that “Christians will continue to be a strong partner in the quest to see that the spread of COVID-19 does not happen and that it becomes a thing of the past within the shortest time possible.”

A Nigerian lady has left social media users stunned and filled with questions after showing off her engagement ring that has an ancient idol cresting.
The lady identified as Adejumo Abiola had taken to Twitter to share the controversial photo of her engagement ring and announced that she said “Yes, I’ll marry you” to her man.
Adejumo’s post has, however, triggered mixed reactions from Netizens as she was mocked for accepting the strange ring as an engagement ring, instead of the conventional diamond ring.
A medical doctor has narrated his desperate attempt to save a woman and her child after she rejected CS because her church made her believe it’s demonic.
The medical personnel with twitter handle @Sports_Doctor2, explained that the woman had been in labour for two days but still refused to undergo cesarean section.
According to him, she was taken to her church where she was prayed for but had to be rushed back to the hospital at the point to death.
An emergency cesarean section had to be conducted and prior examination revealed that the woman had Cephalon Pelvic Disproportion and no amount of prayers or anointing oil could have helped the woman deliver the baby.
The doctor said the baby was ‘almost’ dead when it was brought out, but the nurse on duty refused to give up and employed every means to resuscitate the baby, who eventually gave a loud cry after 45 minutes.
Fortunately, the mother and her baby survived the terrible ordeal. The doctor went on to advise intending mothers to rebuke the counsel of any pastor that tells them C/S is demonic.

An Eyewitness at the scene of the fight between Nigerian super stars, Davido and Burna Boy has given details of what transpired between the singers.
The eye witness identified as Steven Mingle, in an interview with The PUNCH gave detailed account of the scuffle between Davido and Burna at Twist Club and Lounge in Ghana.
According to Mingle who claimed to be present at the scene, Burna Boy was the first to attack Davido.
In his words,
“Davido was having fun with his guys; I was also there beside him taking some shots. The place got choked, so, I had to excuse myself and stayed by the door to get some fresh air.
“When I was standing by the door, I saw Burna Boy and at least six guys following him. One is a popular guy who spends in the club and the others are the muscular guys.

Popular YouTuber, Grace victory has been placed in a medically induced coma one day after giving birth to a baby boy.
The YouTube star reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago, while in the third trimester of her pregnancy. Her condition worsened and made doctors induce the birth of her son on Christmas Eve, December 24th.
According to a message posted on the vlogger’s Instagram page on Monday, December 28th, the birth of her baby was not due until February 2021, but was induced because of her condition.
The 30-year-old new mum entered the ICU the day after giving birth and is currently in a medically induced coma.

“As you guys know, Grace gave birth on Christmas Eve to a beautiful baby boy, who is currently doing so well, he’s incredible.
“We Love him so much. Grace developed Covid-19 two weeks ago and although her symptoms were mild at first, they worsened as the days went on. Which meant they had [to] deliver the baby as soon as possible, as she was just too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy.
“The 30-year-old YouTuber entered the ICU the day after giving birth and is currently in a medically induced coma.

A Nigerian lady simply identified as Mokeji on Twitter, has given details of how she made the first move at her Bolt driver and they both ended up dating.
According to Mokeji, their relationship started when she got punished for violating curfew in November – after being punished by soldiers, she requested a ride and it was her current man who arrived as the bolt driver.
She revealed that although they did not talk during the ride, he started vibing after she played a song and it was at that moment she knew she had to make a move.

A Nigerian man alongside his friends have angrily stormed a pastor’s house and retrieved the car his wife gifted the man of God.
According to the Twitter user, Ziggy who shared the story on the platform, the man’s wife had gifted the said pastor two luxury cars in a space of two years.
It was learnt that at two different times the aggrieved man bought two car for his wife, but she ended up giving the cars to her pastor as a form of appreciation to him.
The man who was apparently angered by his wife’s action and could not bear loosing the second car to the pastor, stormed the pastor’s house in company of four of his friends to retrieve the car.

A Nigerian couple, identified as Dr. Mike and Dr. Modupe Obiora, have welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl, after 27 years of childlessness.
The couple, who got married on December 11th, 1993, finally welcomed their bundles of joy after 27 years of marriage without a child.
The dedication of the twins, a boy and a girl, was held at the World Alive Church in Calabar, Cross River State on Sunday, December 13.
Dr. (Mrs) Modupe, speaking at the dedication, expressed her gratitude to God for wiping away her tears. She also appreciated her husband and their family members for their continuous support and prayers during the 27 years of waiting.

“We held on to the word of God, we held on to Faith, we held on to the Blood of the Convenant and he did not fail us. I thank God for everyone that God has used in prayers. Some people know how to introduce you to herbalists, juju people but the people that surrounded me, all we know is prayers.
“Everyone that prayed we are seeing the result of that prayer. God did not do one but double. God wiped wiped away my tears, my secret tears. He put laughter in my mouth. All my questions…why why why, why me, he answered them.
“I want to thank God for my husband’s family. If you marry into a devilish family they will carry you to so many places. My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law are always praying for me. There is no day they will say let’s go and see one baba. It is good to marry into a good home if not you will put your hands in certain things you are not supposed to. I thank God for them. They are always praying for us. They strengthened my faith.”
