Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has accused people who attend church vigils of practicing witchcraft.

Kemi took to Twitter to air her unpopular opinion. According to her, going to church at night or staying up too late is unnecessary.

She noted that God is omnipresent and everywhere at all hours, so people should be comfortable with praying at anytime, rather than praying in darkness.

Her outburst was in reaction to a Redeemed church having a vigil down her street, as she complained that their sound was disturbing her family.

She tweeted,

“If U or your family members attend CHURCH VIGILS, you are legitimately practicing WITCHCRAFT. God is everywhere at all hours. Going out to church or staying up at the dead of night is unnecessary. Pray anytime, NOT in darkness. The church down the street is disturbing us now”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has reacted following the death of a Newspaper vendor, that was shot dead by his security detail.

It was learnt that a security detail attached to the Speaker on Thursday, November 19th, fired a gunshot that killed a newspaper vendor in Abuja.

In a statement released on his official social media page, Gbajabiamila sympathized with the family of the victim, while expressing his regret over the unfortunate incident.

He further revealed that that the security operative has been suspended from his convoy, while he has ordered investigation to be carried out.

The statement reads,

“A horrible incident has taken place. This evening as I left the national assembly, I stopped as usual to exchange pleasantries with the newspaper vendors at the corner. Many of them have known me since I first moved to Abuja and it was a friendly exchange.

“Unfortunately, after the convoy set out in continuation of movement, unidentified men obstructed the convoy which got the attention of security men in the convoy who shot into the air to disperse them.

“Some hours later, after getting to our destination, it was brought to my attention that someone was hit by a stray bullet, contrary to an earlier report by men in the convoy that they applied their security discretion to shoot in the air.

“I have caused a report to be made to the local police station and an investigation has commenced.

“In the meantime; the officer who fired the fatal shot has been suspended from the convoy pending the conclusion of the investigation.

“My value for human life and my respect for all people – irrespective of social economic status – is what endeared me to these vendors and these are the reasons why I stop my convoy quite often to connect with them. For one of them to have been shot by my security detail is horrific and I cannot begin to imagine the grief and loss Ifeanyi’s family must feel on this sad day. No family should have to go through this.

“I am personally distraught about this incident and my deepest sympathies go to the victim, his family and Abuja vendors.”

Popular Afrobeat musician and social crusader, Seun Kuti, has attacked popular Nigerian Actor cum politician, Desmond Elliott.

Kuti said that Lagos State lawmaker and entertainer, Desmond Elliot, is a man who does not stand for anything.

The lawmaker has received backlash from the public ever since a video surfaced of him at the Lagos State House of Assembly where he called Nigerian youths ‘children’ and sought for the regulation of social media.

In an exclusive interview with The Punch, the Grammy award-nominated musician stated that the Nigerian people have given the lawmaker a new name, Desmond Idiot; which is the name he calls the lawmaker.

He said, “There is nobody like Desmond Elliot, his new name among the people of Nigeria is Desmond Idiot. That insult that he does not like, his real name is Desmond Idiot. His name is Hon. Desmond Idiot. Being a youth is not an ideology. A man like Desmond does not stand for anything. He is also a beneficiary of that patronage system that has been used to establish every other person in Nigeria. There is nothing special about where he is. He is not there by talent, know-how, or skill; he is there because those oppressors that we complain about picked him to represent them there.

He continued, “Desmond himself has no will of his own. When he was speaking in the State House of Assembly, he was playing to the gallery, meaning he was acting as an actor thinking that our lives are a Nollywood film. After he acted, they said, ‘the film no sweet’. He had to do part two. He was a strong man in part one of the film; in part two, he was a crying baby. Desmond Elliot is a personification of what politicians in Nigeria are, dishonest actors. He is just acting his role as the governor did. How many lies did the governor say in one week about the Lekki shooting? Desmond Elliot is now a Nigerian politician of the typical ilk. He is not a revolutionary politician.”

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned the Nigerian film industry against using her uniforms without approval from necessary body.

According to the corps’ assistant director of legal services, Christian Oru, it’s now imperative that Nigerian filmmakers go through proper documentation to the commission, before the use of the crested vest in their movies.

He made this known during a meeting between the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) and creative industry stakeholders on enabling laws and strengthening of professional guilds and associations in Lagos.

In his words,

“For any filmmaker that wants any of his casts to wear the corps members’ uniform while shooting movies, we require that you write an application letter to NYSC to indicate your interest.

“We also demand that you submit your script to us for proper vetting to know how NYSC will be represented.

We know the script is your copyright and we will do everything to ensure confidentiality.”

Controversial On-Air Personality, Daddy Freeze has condemned Africans who celebrate Christmas.

He said the annual festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ is a Europeanized, Romanized and Pagan festival.

According to him, it is hypocritical for Nigerians to label indigenous festivals like Egungun festival, New Yam Festival and others as demonic, when they joyfully celebrate a foreign festival.

He stated that people who fall into this category are not Christians, but slaves and products of Neocolonialism.

Man allegedly hacks his two children to death in Niger State, says it was an act of God

A man, identified as Abubakar Maidobo, has allegedly hacked his two biological children to death and hid their corpses in the bush in separate sacks.

The suspect has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for the heinous crime.

The Police spokesperson, ASP Waisu Abiodun, confirming the incident in a statement on Friday, November 20, said Abubakar confessed to the crime, claiming that it was an act of God.

His statement reads,

“On 14/11/2020 at about 0200hrs, based on information received, Police operatives attached to Nasko Division arrested one Abubakar Maidobo ‘m’ of Maidabo village via Salka, Nasko Magama LGA,” said ASP Abiodun.

“The suspect was arrested for allegedly killing his two (2) biological children with a cutlass, one Umar Abubakar aged 8yrs and Shehu Abubakar aged 4yrs while he hid the corpses in the bush in separate sacks. During interrogation, suspect confessed to the crime and claimed that the incident was an act of God. The corpses were taken to General Hospital Nasko for autopsy. Case under investigation.”

Maje Ayida, estranged husband of media personality, Toke Makinwa has admitted to being a serial cheat, disclosing that he cheated on the vlogger multiple times, despite being married to her.

A now viral court document reveals that the fitness coach confessed to cheating on his ex-wife, Toke Makinwa.

The document read in part,

“The Claimant by his own admission is a serial cheat while in matrimony with the defendant.”

Recall that, Toke’s estranged husband, Ayida filed a defamation lawsuit filed against her in 2017 after she wrote and published a book titled “On Becoming”, which according to him contained defamatory words against him.

In his lawsuit, Ayida asked Toke to withdraw the book from circulation, recall all copies distributed and hand them over to him for destruction, and demanded N100m compensation for damages in the lawsuit. He asked the court to donate damages awarded him to four charities which will be nominated by him.

On Becoming was a book Toke wrote after her 13-year relationship and 3-year-old marriage to the fitness expert ended in divorce on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

In the book the media personality gave a detailed account of her experience in the marriage, and how her estranged husband got his girlfriend, Anita Solomon pregnant while married to her.

The singer had dropped out of Oakwood University in the United States to focus on his music career but later completed his tertiary education at Babcock University in Nigeria in July 2015.

“Advice Bobrisky before he becomes transparent” — Comedian, Gordons (Video)

Nigerian comedian, Gordons has asked Nigerians to give a stern warning to socialite, Bobrisky over his incessant use of bleaching products.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the comedian tells people to warn Bobrisky to limit his use of bleaching products or else, he’ll become transparent very soon.

Gordon is head saying that we probably might soon start seeing the socialite’s internal organs if he continues bleaching his skin.

It’s no doubt that Bobrisky consistently uses bleaching products as a while back, he was one of the top bleaching products seller in the country, with him revealing he sells his products in and out of the country.

To prove that his product actually works, he occasionally shows off his skin and reveals he actually uses his products and as such, he can guarantee that they work.

Teenage suspected robber arrested with fake gun in Lagos

Men of the Lagos state police command have paraded a suspected robber identified as Ajayi Lateef.

Ajayi, 19, was arrested with a dummy gun, after his gang had allegedly robbed a tricycle at Victoria Island around 1am.

Lagos police spokesperson, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the state’s Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has ordered that the suspect be taken to the State CID, Panti, for further investigation.

Nigerian singer, BlackFace of the now defunct Plantashun boiz music band has called out 2Face for failing to informing him about the death of an old mutual friend.

Taking to Instagram, he narrated how the members of the music band met the deceased and slammed 2Face for keeping him in the dark about his demise.

He further added that he has tried to reach the Veteran singer to get information on how to reach the deceased’s family members, but all to no avail, so he decided to call him out on social media.

“It was sometime around 1999 the band #Plantashunboiz had just qualified to perform in 30 different shows round the country 🇳🇬 and the band had been given a cheque of #170,000 Naira advance from #300,000 Naira so we headed off to lagos island to a micro finance bank but we didnt have no money to pay for transportation and we couldn’t take bus because we were about to cash out on our first pay cheque from the #Rothmans #MegaGroove so we got dressed and waved at a taxi…behold who stopped…? It was #Benny In 504 saloon Car.

We asked him to take us to the island and showed him the address on the cheque…we set off…. when we got to the bank I went in and because I didnt have no form of identification I couldn’t cash the money…I asked Benny to take us back to festac where we then made ID cards and got ready for the next day…Benny left without any money and came back the following morning to pick us up again..still without any money for fuel or payment for yesterday’s movement.

We went to the bank and the money was paid and we paid Benny his money and he was very happy .. we were able to pay for our recording sessions and the rest is history……#Benny Became a member of the Plantashun Family and was the safest driver I ever met…He became 2face personal driver after while and today I just heard he had passed on…and @official2baba couldn’t reach out to tell me Benny Passed away ??? DAMN I FEEL BAD ONLY TO FIND THAT OUT TODAY AND THIS MINUTE

Reality TV star, Diane unfollows Ike days after he unfollowed her on Instagram

There appear to be some sort of hostility between former Big Brother Naija housemates, Diane and Ike Onyeoma as they’ve both unfollowed each other on social media platform, Instagram.

Few days after he unfollowed her on the photo sharing app, Diane reciprocated the action by also unfollowing him on the app and shortly after, took to her Twitter page to say she isn’t the kind of person who usually unfollows or blocks people, but when she does, there’s no going back.

She wrote,

I don’t unfollow/block easily.
If I do, there’s no undoing.

Moving forward, keep the same energy

This has got fans wondering if their actions is as a result of the failed romantic affair between Ike and Mercy as it was earlier revealed that they’d broken up and Mercy is now with a different person.

But a quick check also shows that the model unfollowed most of his colleagues from the Pepper Dem show.

Popular Nigerian Singer, Omah Lay has reflected on the past year and how far he has come in the Nigerian Music Industry.

According to the singer, around this time last year, he was ”holed up in his room, singing his guts out” and he wasn’t even sure if people would hear or appreciate his songs.

However, fast-forward to a year later and he’s now highly sought after while also being on course to win the next-rated award at the headies.

Omah Lay took to his Twitter page to write ;

This time last year I was holed up in my tiny room singing my guts out, not knowing if people would ever hear or even appreciate these songs.

Fast forward few months later, those songs came together to become an EP titled ‘Get Layd’ and that shit changed my life!!!

I see myself everywhere, hear myself everywhere, feels great! Everything I ever wished for…

But with it went the simple things of life, I miss being Stanley!!! Got me asking myself sometimes WHAT HAVE WE DONE???!!! Don’t mind me, this shit is still new to me

I like to think that I have grown since the last time you heard from me and I’m sure you’d hear that from my music.

The talented singer also used the opportunity to present his latest project, an extended play he titled ”What have we done”.
