A Nigerian man has narrated how he stopped the police from freeing a suspected pedophile because the mother of the child was unable to ‘pay money to register the case’.

According to @Deleconcept, the man was apprehended after he allegedly fingered a 5-year-old girl in Festac town, Lagos.

He also revealed that the mother of child opted for compensation because she couldn’t pay the money the police allegedly asked her to pay to register the case.

The Twitter user alleged they were able to get the police to act on the case with tips and recharge cards, and he is on ground to ensure the parents and their child get justice.

He tweeted;

This man below fingered a 5 year old girl at Festac Town. Stop & read what I typed again. A full grown man took advantage of a child. She was bleeding when the mum took her to d clinic.

People around started beating the man until the Army incharge of the area took him into custody. They asked the parents to call @PoliceNG but as usual someone at the station asked for money to register the case.

The parents didn’t know what to do and too broke to handle the case. So they opted out for compensation from the culprit. I got there & stopped whatever compensation. This man must face justice. I’d some help around and we called some friendly police officers to help pick up the man, this approach came with tips and recharge cards

A Nigerian man on Facebook took to his page to give the praise of an engineer who carried out the work he gave him with all honestly.

Samson Oyenekan on Facebook lauded his AC/Refrigerator engineer, Abdullahi who he’d asked to fix the problem with his AC he thought he knew about and so he gave him a large sum of money to repair it.

Abdullahi however then returned with the AC repaired and the large sum of money Samson had given him and revealed that the problem was a minor one which didn’t need a lot of money to be repaired.

Abdullahi’s honesty touched Samson and so he took to his Facebook page to praise him. He wrote, alongside a photo of Abdullahi,

This is ABDULLAHI, He’s an AC/FRIDGE Engineer! I gave him 12K to buy COMPRESSOR and fix in my AC, He took the AC for repair, fixed it, returned it with my 12K and told me that the compressor was okay, but just a minor relay problem which he said was 500 naira.
ABDULLAHI could’ve told me he had bought the compressor, I won’t know. And the truth be say, even if na me, I for fall yakata for dis kain temptation.

”Use your firearms for protection when your life is in danger” – IGP Adamu tells police officers

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has said every Police officer is entitled to human rights protection and he advised them to use their firearms to protect themselves whenever they are in the face of any form of danger.

IGP Adamu is currently touring different state commands to assess the level of destruction each command suffered during the civil unrest that broke out across the country after hoodlums hijacked the #EndSARS protests.

Several police officers were killed and many stations destroyed in the wake of the unrest.

The IGP said ;

“All that happened in terms of attacks on the police and police stations, should not stop us from coming out to perform our constitutional duties. But while we are performing this constitutional duties, we must also protect ourselves because every policeman is a human being and is also entitled to human rights protection.

Don’t forget your force order 237. You read and digest it very well. You know when you should use your firearms. You use your firearms in a lawful manner.

One of the ways you use your firearms is when your life is in danger and there is no other way through, then you use your firearms. Does it make sense for a policeman to die when he is carrying a rifle?”

Nigerian Entrepreneur, Jason Njoku has revealed that he has been hospitalized and needs oxygen to breathe due to the COVID-19 he is currently fighting.

Jason and his wife, Actress Remmy-Njoku recently announced that they tested positive and they’ve already commenced treatment. Thankfully, none of his kids were infected.

Giving an update via his Twitter page, he wrote ;

Thanks all for your wishes. The kids all tested negative so they’re fine. @MrsMaryNjoku other than minor fatigue is fine. Me? This thing beat me up at home for a week. Since Monday I’ve been hospitalized with hardcore fever & need oxygen to support my breathing It will pass

Nigerian actor, Prince Eke has released screenshots of the messages his ex-wife, Muma Gee allegedly sent to him two years ago in a bid to clear his name and refute the recent claims she made to the press.

Muma Gee had claimed in a recent interview that her estranged spouse with whom she has three children, woke up one morning and decided to leave their marriage.

While giving other claims, she revealed that she put her music career on hold to build her family. However, Prince Eke has denied her claims as he pointed out the inconsistencies in her story and claimed it is because she is lying.

Countering her allegations that she put her music career on hold for him, Prince stated that he sponsored her music career with his money while they were still married and recently loaned her money for her recent music project.

He claimed she used the money he loaned her to organize interviews and slander him. The actor then accused her of spreading lies about him just to publicize her project.

He shared that some years ago, Muma Gee claimed she left their marriage because he proposed to multiple women only for her to now start claiming that he is the one who left the marriage.

The actor also added that he pays Muma Gee’s house rent and other bills but what he gets in return is her spreading lies about him.

He released a video showing the message she allegedly sent to him in January 2018, begging for his forgiveness, admitting to spoiling his public image just to spite him, and admitting he has always been a great father.

A young Nigerian woman, Ms. Esther Agbaje has made history in the United States by winning a seat in the state Assembly.

According to NAN, Ms. Esther has been elected into the Minnesota House of Representatives in Tuesday’s U.S. general elections.

She will represent District 59B in the 134-member House on the platform of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), an affiliate of the U.S. Democratic Party.

Esther, 35, won by a landslide, polling 17,396 votes or 74.7 percent of the total ballots cast.

Her closest rival, Alan Shilepsky of the Republican Party, secured 4,128 votes, representing 17.7 percent of the total.

Elections to the lower chamber of the state legislature hold every two years, and there are no term limits for the lawmakers.

The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Agbaje was born in St. Paul, the state capital of Minnesota.

Her father, Rev. John, an Episcopal Church priest, met her mother, Bunmi, a librarian, at the University of Minnesota where they were studying.

She graduated from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., with a degree in political science.

Esther holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and also a law degree from Harvard University.

She currently works as an attorney in Minneapolis with a focus on general civil litigation and medical malpractice.

She once served at the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Affairs Officer, charged with managing the rule of law projects in the Middle East.

Her priorities as a lawmaker include affordable housing, environmental justice, police reform, public safety, and racial equality.

362 ghost workers earning N20m monthly discovered in Ekiti

The Ekiti state government has discovered three hundred and sixty-two ghost workers in the state’s civil service.

The state Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Professor Adio Folayan, disclosed this on Tuesday, November 3rd, when he presented the report of the verification committee set up by the state governor, Kayode Fayemi, in Ado Ekiti.

According to Folayan, the state government was losing about 20m monthly to the ghost workers, who are mainly in the local government areas of the state. He added that the state’s Accountant-General had been instructed to stop the salaries of the ghost workers.

He further revealed the ghost workers would be prosecuted for fraud alongside their accomplices, noting that all heads of department have been directed to enforce discipline.

A Nigerian residing in the United States, identified as Oye Owolewa has become the first Nigerian to be elected to the US congress.

The 30-year-old who represented Washington DC in the House of Representatives under the Democratic Party, has made history by being the first Nigerian congressman.

Based on the result of the election, Oye had 82.65% of the total votes, ahead of his fellow contenders, Joyce Robinson-Paul and Sohaer Syed.

Oye Owolewa, whose father is from Kwara State and mother is from Oyo is now one of the Nigerians in Diaspora making the country proud.

Owolewa is a PhD holder in Pharmacy from the Northeastern University, Boston.

Moment DJ Cuppy interrupted a man who tried to pose with her expensive Ferrari (Video)

Popular Nigerian disk Jockey, Florence Otedola otherwise known as DJ Cuppy almost had her expensive Ferrari turn into a photo-booth by a man who wanted to take photos beside her new pink Ferrari.

Recall, some weeks ago, her billionaire father, Femi Otedola bought three customized Ferraris for his three daughters.

DJ Cuppy has been cruising her new whip and some hours ago, she shared a video that captured the moment she bumped into the man who tried to pose for a picture beside the Ferrari.

Sharing the video, she asked fans;

“Have you ever tried to lowkey take a picture with a car then the owner arrived?”,

Man writes church to ask for refund of offerings he gave from 1998 to 2017

A Kenyan man identified as Dishon Kinyanjui Kinuthia has written a letter to his church, demanding a refund of offerings he gave from 1998 to 2017.

The Kenyan Christian took to Twitter to share the letter he wrote to his church, stating that there would be dire consequences if the church refuses to refund his money.

He further revealed that he was a member of the Revival Mission Church, Kabete, in Nairobi, from 1997 to 2018 when he left the church.

He asked the church to deposit the money in his account on or before November 31, 2020, or he will start legal proceedings against them.

Explaining why he wants a refund of his offering, Dishon stated that the contributions he made to the church were not “voluntary” but was done under “undue influence, duress, and intimidation.”

According to him the church is expected to refund the sum of 58,000 KES which is his estimate of his contribution to the church over two decades.

Northern filmmakers suspends actress, Rahama Sadau over her backless dress photos

The Northern filmmakers, under the aegis of Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) have suspended Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, over photos of the ‘backless dress’ she shared on social media.

Recall that after Sadau share photos from the photoshoot wearing the champagne gold gown, a lot of Northerners on Twitter slammed her for wearing a dress that is “Unislamic”.

However, Vanguard reports that the Northern filmmakers released a statement saying that actress post has resulted in blasphemous comments against the Holy Prophet of Islam on social media.

The decision of the body to suspend Sadau is coming after, she deleted the photos, and pleaded with the Muslim community to forgive her.

She wrote,

“I made this video so sad and sad. I am also patient about what happened to all Hausa people, my colleagues and Muslims all over this picture of mine that brought this cure.

“This is not my attitude as a Muslim. I am the lover of the prophet (SAW), and I am fighting with anyone that touch my religion. It’s destiny that brought a person to disgrace him, and may God curse him on this disgrace.

“This will never happen to me again by the grace of God. Thank you, may God protect our faith and religion.”

The body of northern filmmakers had earlier suspended the actress in October, 2016 for similar misconduct. But the Kano State Censors Board under Mallam Ismail Na Abba Afakkallah granted her unconditional pardon in 2018.

Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu have been cyberbullied and attacked by Muslim fanatics, over her active involvement in the #EndSARS.

The 45 year old activist, who was a co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, has been labelled “colorful” names and told to remove her hijab, because she is not “following Islamic tenets”.

Aisha took to Twitter to share screenshots of some of the insults she has received from Muslim faithfuls.

Sharing a Twitter thread, she wrote,

“This is a thread of a few screenshot of fellow Muslims who have told me to remove my hijab. It is not religion for them. It is oppression of women and they are not able to deal with one who refuses to be oppressed!”
