The Presidency has said everyone, either celebrities or promoters, who allowed the #EndSARS peaceful protest to become riotous must be prepared to face the law.
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, made this known while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics on November 8.
Actions are already being taken against protesters as the Central Bank of Nigeria froze the bank accounts of 20 #EndSARS frontliners. Another key promoter, Modupe Odele otherwise known as Moechivious was also prevented from travelling last week and her International Passport was seized by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
When Garba Shehu was asked why the CBN ordered the accounts to be frozen, he said the bucks stops at the president’s table and everyone involved in the protest must account for their actions.
He said,
“This country has only one president and has only one constitution. President Muhammadu Buhari is responsible for his government. The buck stops on his table.
“We are a country governed by law. There is a constitution —under section 33— that clearly defines the rights of citizens to freely protest in a peaceful way but where a peaceful protest turns into riot, violence and looting, there is a law and order duty to be performed.
“Everyone witnessed the massive looting of public and private properties particularly in Lagos, Calabar, Plateau, Taraba and some other states, even the FCT.
“Now, the laws of the country must be allowed to decide, to rule on wrongdoing on the part of anybody.
“I am not particular about any celebrity or promoter but this country has been harmed enormously and people should be prepared to account for what they did.”

A relationship coach, Akinbosola Adeyemi has taken a swipe at women who request for takeaway to take the remaining food home after a date.
Akinbosola’s statement is in reaction to the video which made rounds on social media, where a lady was seen packing her leftovers inside a nylon because she was told to pay for takeaway at the restaurant. Watch the video here.
According to Akinbosola, it is tacky to go on a date and request for takeaway because you can’t finish the meal or you want to take home for your “hungry friends”.
He further added that dates shouldn’t be centered around food, but should be an avenue for people to meet and see if there is a connection that could lead to a relationship.
His tweet reads,
“It’s tacky to go and a date and ask for a take away because you can’t finish what you ordered for or you want more to take home for yourself or your hungry friends. Don’t do it. It’s a major turn. You’d mostly likely not get a second date.
“Again, a date is not about how much food you can eat and take home with you. A date should not be centered around food. A date is a avenue where 2 people meet up to see if there’s a vibe and connection that might lead to knacks or a serious relationship. It’s not about food.”

He then says they should rather, follow men who’ll just spoil them with money without even having to engage in coitus with them. Watch him below,
Actress, Juliet Njemanze has said that she feels ashamed to say that she’s an actress because of the stigma that has been attached to it.
Juliet also said that the poor pay actors get is another thing that discourages her about the acting profession.
The Kano State-bred actress made this known in an interview with Potpourri.
She said, “Every industry has its own problem but I will say the thing that turns me off is the stigma attached to actresses in Nollywood. The stigma is crazy that sometimes I feel ashamed to tell someone I’m an actress because people look at you as a prostitute.
They believe you must have slept with directors and producers to get to where you are. Acting for me is my life, my career, it’s my everything and I love it with passion but people’s impression about the job is really discouraging. Another thing that turns me off is the poor pay. The actors don’t get enough pay for their work except you are a superstar.”
She shared a bit on her journey on the industry.
“I would say my Nollywood journey has been a cool ride full of fun. I really went through a lot starting out in the industry because I put all my focus in it as it was the only thing I was doing at the time. It was really tough financially, most of the time I work for people and I don’t get paid. I was almost discouraged and depressed at the beginning of my career.
The lesson I would say I have learnt from this industry is that no one can make you, only you and God can make You. A lot of producers and directors will promise to help you and make you a star, they will promise you heaven and earth just to get something from you. The most important lesson I learnt is to pray for grace of God and don’t depend on any producer or director to get you to the next level, you can do that yourself,” she says
Juliet is the kind of actress who would take on any challenge that does not put her faith and moral at stake.
“I won’t take a role that will make me say negative things against God. If it’s in the script, they will have to take that part out. My relationship with my God is more important than my career. And secondly, I can’t go nude in a movie, not even in Hollywood with a mask. I don’t think it’s an option for me to go nude,” she added.
