Popular Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu has shared the sad story of how he almost lost his life after he was poisoned a couple of times by his staff who he alleged were paid by his kinsmen to kill him.
Mr Ibu sharing his near death experience in an interview with Nigizietv stated that if not for God he would have been dead by now.
According to him, the poison made his stomach big that he couldn’t see his legs, adding that he was placed on medications which began to help reduce his bulging stomach.
In his words,
“If not for God Almighty, I would have been a story perpetrated by people who don’t love me.
I don’t take Alcohol up till now. Some people say I don’t take Alcohol yet my stomach is big, The belly is an idiot. It was after they gave me that poison. It was bigger than this before. If you had seen it, it was like a foam. I took medicine and it began to come down. Before I wasn’t able to see my legs.
They took me to Nnewi, saying we had a show. They held me there and beat me up. They beat me and then inserted poison in my mouth and ran away, leaving me there. It was my boys and dancers that came and carried me home. It was in Enugu that I woke up. God said no, you are not going yet.
“Here in my office, they brought the first poison, I took it. I was falling around and nobody came to ask. Even the workers did not enter here even though they were hearing me fall around. I vomitted something in my bathroom.
“They gave me the second one, The people that gave me are the people working with me. I swallowed another one unknowingly because I never suspected them until when God opened my eyes. They paid them and gave them enough money to make sure they eliminate me. All these plans are from Enugu, my towns people and age grades that are surprised that I can own some things, build some houses, buy house in Lagos. They asked them to go and kill me.” He added

A video making rounds on social media showed a man trapped in a sealed manhole in Bode Thomas area of Surulere, Lagos.
According to the eyewitness that shared the video, he said the man was heard crying out for help from inside the manhole. The man’s voice was faint, however people still heard him and gathered at the spot.
The crowd tried to rescue the man from the manhole but it wasn’t possible because it has been sealed for a long time.
The eyewitness stated that they tried to interrogate the man to know how he got trapped but to no avail. It is still unclear how how he got into the manhole, however the police are already involved in the case.

Over the weekend, Nigerians stormed social media to air their displeasure over the incessant robbery, killing, extortion and harassment by officials of the SARS in places in the West, East and Southern side of the country.
Celebrities like Davido, Wizkid, Banky W, P-Square and a few others also lent their voices as they beckoned on the government to put a stop to the operation of SARS before they things get way out of hand.
Rapper, Erigga has in a recent post on his social media pages, enjoined Nigerian religious leaders to also protest against the security operatives. He says they should lead the protests before the security operatives start collecting tithes and offerings.
He went on to reveal that the government listens to them more than he would other people and so they should beckon on the government to put a stop to the SARS menace.

Head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the payment of stipends to Bachelor of Education graduates as well as granting them automatic employment after graduation, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, revealed.
The President also approved a special salary scale for teachers in the country as he also increased the number of years of service from 35 to 40.
Minister for Education, Mr Adamu, said the implementation of the new salary scheme was to encourage teachers in delivering better service.
Other promises include building low-cost housing for teachers in rural areas, sponsorship to at least one refresher training per annum to benchmark best practices for improved teaching and learning.
Mr Buhari said he has approved the reintroduction of bursary award to education students in Universities and Colleges of Education with the assurance of automatic employment upon graduation.
“The payment of stipends to Bachelor of Education students as well as granting them automatic employment after graduation is now a government policy,” he said
Nigeria’s Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has pleaded with popular rapper, Naira Marley, to halt his protest scheduled to hold today against police brutality.
The singer had announced that the protest will begin by 9am at the second toll gate in Lagos.
Naira Marley, who had initially declined participation in any protest over fear of being imprisoned, added that the protest must be peaceful, and free from stealing or vandalism.
“So 9am tomorrow we move

No vandalism, no fights and no stealing.” he tweeted.
However, Dare took to his official Twitter handle to ask the Mafo crooner to stop the protest slated for today.
The minister noted that Naira Marley’s grievance is being addressed at the ‘highest level of government’.
He tweeted,“I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government. As the Minister in charge of youth, I know this is an issue that must be tackled. Government is doing just that.”
Responding to the Minister’s tweet, Naira simply asked if Dare cared about the youths in the country.
“Ekale Sir. We have heard this before. Four times. Why will this time be different? Do you really care about the youth? Many of us have been killed and they harass us every day. What is the assurance this time? We need assurance,” the singer wrote.
Member of the house of representatives from Oyo state, Akin Alabi has filed a motion to dissolve the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) of the Nigeria police force.
The lawmaker who noted that the security agency has made headlines in recent times “over ceaseless killings and attacks on innocent citizens”, added that SARS operatives have become so lawless that even the police inspector-general can no longer contain their excesses.
Alabi further stated that there is enough evidence in the public domain to proscribe SARS immediately.
He said,
“Policing in Nigeria continues to fall short of modern practices where citizens should be treated with utmost respect and decorum, therefore making it very difficult for an average citizen to truly trust that the police are their friends.”
It is expected that the motion will be considered on Tuesday October 6th.

Naira Marley’s upcoming protest follows the outcry and #EndSARS campaign on social media against harassment of youths by SARS operatives.

Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that an upcoming artiste in Davido’s care went missing after he contacted the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) to arrest him.
According to her, David Adeleke “Davido” has no business in the ongoing #ENDSARS campaign until he figures out what happened to the artiste that went missing.
She stated that the missing man, whose name she withheld was one of the artistes that was to be groomed by Davido, following his partnership with Gov. Wike of Rivers state to groom local talent.
However, he had a meltdown at Adeleke’s Awosika residence, which led to him destroying properties and screaming at everyone in the compound.
Davido contacted the Nigerian police who sent SARS operatives to handle the situation. According to Kemi, the young man was arrested on that fateful day and has not been seen since then.
She made this revelation on her Twitter account. Her tweet reads,
“Davido is not responsible for Lil Frosh’s attack on his girlfriend. However may be responsible for finding what happened to an upcoming artist that went missing in his care.

Davido reportedly called @PoliceNG to send help. This boy was visibly destroying property. To me he needed psychiatric care ASAP & whatever issue he had with Adeleke could be resolved later. He also looked impaired. The cops arrived and were SARS and that’s where the tape ends.
I told them what they needed to do. They contacted @PoliceNG in the area, cops said he was never brought to their station and that they should go to Lagos SARS station. The family were also told at SARS that they should check the prison(s) and he was not in Kirikiri or Ikoyi
After checking everywhere, their son was declared missing in the hands of tactical police officers at SARS. His sister’s last email to me mentioned that someone told her that SARS perform extrajudicial killings of armed robbers which the govt banned in the new police bill. TRUE!
My last email to her was that he may have been eliminated. Learned from being at Port Harcourt SARS 2017 after being abducted in the Ibiyeomie case. That line after they were done executing armed robbers behind my cell. Families arrived looking for young men. Check prison etc

A Nigerian woman has reportedly given birth to a baby girl, five months after birthing twin babies.
According to Enate Ogedegbe who shared the story on Facebook the woman had been childless for seven years after her marriage, before God blessed her with her first set of kids in 2016.
Enate noted that in April, 2020, she was delivered of another set of twins after which she started experiencing pain in her stomach.
Three months after the birth of the twins she went for another scan at Island Maternity in Lagos where it was confirmed she was pregnant.
On September 18th, 2020, five months after the birth of the twins, she delivered a baby girl.
In his words,
“My ‘Co-Laborer’ Pastor Daniel Osierih and I, had the Privilege to Minister and Officiate at this Naming ceremony. The Couple had been Childless for 7 years, then God gave them Twins (a boy and girl), Who are 4 years now.
“They had another set of Twin girls in April 2020 (during the Lockdown), ….after which, the Mother started Experiencing Terrible Pains in her stomach, the Scans Revealed NOTHING. So she engaged a ‘Local Ijaw’ woman to massage her stomach several times a week.
“After 3 months, the Ijaw Woman indicated she suspected there was still a baby in her womb, and asked her to go for Another Scan, which she did at the Island Maternity Lagos State.
“That was how they discovered this THIRD baby Girl, that she Delivered Safely on the 18th of September, 2020. (Her husband was abroad during the Lockdown and only returned last week).

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the release of N10 billion to the National Population Commission (NPC).
The fund is intended for the continuation of the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) in the remaining 546 Local Government Area (LGA) of the country.
NPC Acting Chairman, Dr. Eyitayo Oyetunji, made this disclosure during a press briefing on the release of funds for the outstanding LGAs, and the update on the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) at the NPC headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
He also revealed that the president approved an additional N4.5 billion to be included in the 2021 Budget for completion of the exercise, as part of the preparations for the next census.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has commented on the bad state of roads across the country.
Addressing congregants on Sunday October 4, Pastor Adeboye referenced Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola’s comment of “Nigerians roads not being that bad”.
According to the RCCG General Overseer, Nigerian roads are not just bad but they also don’t exist. He said;
“The roads are not as bad as they are often portrayed. I know that this is going to be your headline, but the roads are not that bad.
“I travel a lot on Nigerian roads and when I travel by road particularly, I understand when someone says the roads are not completely bad.
“I understand that it is a true statement because the roads are not just very bad; they do not exist anymore. It is a road that exists that can be classified as very bad.
“I have travelled within towns and distances that I used to cover within 15 minutes now take up to an hour. Our stagnation must come to an end.”

The president also increased the duration of service for teachers from 30 to 40 years.
According to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu who made the announcement on behalf of the president, the increase in salary and duration of service is to encourage the teachers and improve quality of service rendered.
In other news, the Federal Government of Nigeria has directed all schools to reopen in the country on Monday, October 12th after months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The resumption date was announced by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, at a press briefing in Abuja today.
Adamu urged academic institutions adhere strictly to the guidelines for the reopening of schools initially announced by the presidential task force.
According to the Minister of Eduaction, state and private schools should work out their modalities to reopen their schools. while all unity schools (Federal Government Colleges) should open by October 12th.

Reality TV star, Erica has revealed that her love interest in the Big Brother house Kiddwaya is just a friend as she’s presently more concerned about her career.
Erica revealed this in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, when asked about her relationship with billionaire son, Kiddwaya.
She stated that they are just close friends despite what they shared on the reality show and many thought was a relationship.
Recall that Erica and Kiddwaya started off their relationship in the Big Brother Naija house, and they have remained with each other ever since. They have a dedicated fan base, the #Kiddrica, who wishes to see them get married in the future.
Similarly, Susan Waya, recently showed up for Erica Nlewedim at her Abuja Meet-and-Greet, where she declared her support and love for the actress.
Kidd’s mum showed up for Erica to declare her support for the actress and also to announce that she is a member of the #Kiddrica fan base.

33 year old, Stepan Dolgikh has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating up his bride in front of their wedding guests in Russia.
Stepan beat his wife Oksana Poludentseva, on their wedding day in Novosibirsk.
According to eye witness account the groom started beating his wife when he became ‘jealous’ of another guest at their alcohol-fuelled wedding party in a private house in Prokudskoye village, Novosibirsk region.
It was alleged that he accused his new wife of “behaving incorrectly” with a guest at their wedding.
The chief investigator, Kirill Petrushin disclosed to NGS news agency that he beat her till she appeared lifeless and dumped her into a nearby ravine.
He said,
“He began to punch and kick her outside the house. He continued to attack her inside the house. He grabbed her by the hair, hit her, pushed her out into the street, where he also continued to strike her body and head. When she appeared lifeless ‘he dumped her into a nearby ravine”.
The guests were said to be too scared to intervene but were able to call law enforcement to the scene and the groom was arrested by the Russian National Guard.
The groom however confessed to the killing, said Petrushin, senior regional detective of the Russian Investigative Committee.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) new signee, Lil Frosh has been accused of constantly beating his girlfriend to a pulp.
The music artiste who recently joined the 30 Billion gang, was called out on Twitter by a young man who identified himself as his girlfriend’s brother and manager.
According to the man with twitter handle @MayoksMichael, Lil Frosh has been physically abusing his sister for about a year and has brought nothing but pain, horror and disaster to her.
He stated that the artiste would lock her up in a room, beat her to pulp then pour water on her. Further adding that he would sometimes record a video of her naked and threaten to post it online.
