FG announces date for reopening of all schools in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has directed all schools to reopen in the country on Monday, October 12th after months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The resumption date was announced by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, at a press briefing in Abuja today.

Adamu urged academic institutions adhere strictly to the guidelines for the reopening of schools initially announced by the presidential task force.

According to the Minister of Eduaction, state and private schools should work out their modalities to reopen their schools. while all unity schools (Federal Government Colleges) should open by October 12th.

In his words,

“The decision was reached after exhaustive discussions with education stakeholders in the public and private sector as well ad international and development partners. All state and private schools are to work out their modalities to reopen their schools. All unity schools (Federal Government Colleges) should open by October 12. I’m glad to report that there has not been any single case of COVID-19 in all Unity Schools. No single fatality among the students”.

Peter who was angered by the statement in response dragged the troll describing him as a brainless man with stupid mentality despite his many likes and comments.

Big Brother Naija season 5 winner, Laycon has finally cleared the air about the housemate he initially disclosed his SC genotype to.

Recall that when his genotype became public knowledge, Erica was under fire by social media users and was accused of bodyshaming Laycon despite knowing he was sickle cell.

It was alleged that Erica was the only housemate that knew about Laycon’s genotype before now and used it against him during their fight in the house.

Erica, however, refuted the claims that she mocked him despite knowing his genotype, stating that all she said during their fight was as a result of bottled up emotions and not because she knew he was sickle cell.

The singer has finally laid the issue to rest during his interview with Inspiration FM this morning. According to him, the only housemate he remembered telling about being Sickle Cell was his close pal, Vee, and it was because he knew she would respect the information.

Ex-BBNaija lockdown housemate, Vee, has tactically responded to the backlash she received from some Nigerians when the reality show ended.

Recall that shortly after Laycon was declared winner, the organizers of the show released statistics of how the viewers voted for the top five. Vee had 1.18% of the votes, which made viewers of the show mock her on social media.

Well, she has tactically replied her critics. Posting new photos of herself on her Instagram page, Vee wrote that 1% has never felt so good.

The young promising man and creative director of Penciled Celebrities died on October 1st at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India.

The brand made his health condition public in August and solicited for prayers and financial support through fund raising platform, GoFundme. They successfully raised the required amount within 24 hours and he was flown to India for the Liver surgery, but unfortunately didn’t make it.

A Nigerian man, simply identified as Babatunde has been left shocked after his girlfriend attacked and broke up with him for sending her N15,000 for her birthday celebration.

Apparently, it was her birthday and she requested for money from her boyfriend, which he obliged and sent N15,000.

Babatunde, who felt accomplished and confident in the amount he sent, told her to use the money to have fun and chill.

The young lady, whose name is Tola, fired back at him for sending a meagre amount. According to her, in their previous outing, he spent N25,000 on food alone so why would he send N15,000.

An infuriated Tola attacked her boyfriend, describing him as a stingy man and instructed him never to contact her again.

Some social media users have reacted to the incident, with a larger percentage condemning the young lady for feeling entitled and ungrateful.

Muhammad Lamco, a Nigerian Twitter user came under serious heat on social media yesterday, October 1st after he called MTN’s attention to a latest cheat code her users are using for free data.

Recently MTN users have been getting free data after dialing a certain cheat code on their phones.

However, Muhammad who was not happy with the dishonesty on the part of the users, reported the case to MTN asking them to urgently do something about it.

The network provider in response, thanked Muhammad for the information and asked him to provide the sample numbers for proper investigation.

Muhammad’s display of honesty angered many netizens as they took to Twitter to drag him to filth and tagged him “enemy of progress”.

@iamhaykinx tweeted, “Na this Werey and God save am @Muhammadlamco, may your life dey as useless as Nigeria…Abeg make Una join me give am better curse”.

A Nigerian lady identified as @LavishRuby on Twitter, has taken to the micro-blogging platform to give thanks as her dream of being a millionaire before the age of 30 was accomplished eight years earlier than expected.

According to Ruby, in a tweet she posted back in 2018, she revealed that plans were being made for her to become a millionaire before she reaches 30 years.

It appears mother luck was on her side as she accomplished set goal at age 22. She took to social media to make this known as she thanked God for making it possible.

Ruby is an graduate entrepreneur who runs a successful vlog, YouTube channel and wealth educator on mini shipping business amongst others.

She went further to share a graph screenshot of her earnings and stated that it took four years for her to get her first million dollar.

Her net revenue as at the time of her post, stands at $1,028,729.50 dollars.

Giving few details on how she was able to become a millionaire, Ruby owed it to running four businesses and having 11 streams of income.

Man loses his Lexus Jeep after using it to place bet in Anambra

An unidentified Nigerian man has unfortunately lost his costly car to the cold addictive hands of gambling.

The man who is said to be a chronic gambler, reportedly used his Lexus Jeep to place a bet in Nnewi, Anambra state, Nigeria but he lost and had to let go of the car.

Twitter user @Poshfelly shared the story on social media, revealing how Izunna, the owner of the bet shop ended up taking ownership of the jeep after the owner lost the bet.

Though he did not reveal the nature of the bet, @Poshfelly who said it was not a joke, added that Izunna had already pimped the car to his taste and has begun driving it.

Sharing a photo of the car before the ownership changed hands, @Poshfelly wrote;

The all voting poll from the BBNaija ‘lockdown’ edition released by the organisers of the reality show has undoubtedly shown Laycon as the man of the people from the beginning of the season.

Laycon Agbeleshe emerged winner of the show and topped all the voting poll results ahead of Erica who at a time in the house claimed the musician was using her to trend.

The analysis of the results released today by Multi-Choice showed that every week from the very first week, Laycon topped the voting charts.

However Erica, Nengi and Dorathy, also appeared to be top contenders during the course of the season, but none could come close to the percentage the rapper garners each week.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ finalist, Neo in a recent interview has cleared the air on the “pant washing saga” that transpired in the house.

According to Neo he never washed Vee’s pant but instead rinsed it contrary to what viewers thought.

In his words,

Recall that sometime on the reality show, Nengi walked in on fellow housemate, Neo, washing his love interest, Vee’s panties in the house.

At the time Neo and his lover Vee had a misunderstanding and to settle things amongst them, the lover boy resulted to helping his lover wash her underwear.

The incident sparked mixed reaction on social media, while some users condemned and trolled Neo for his action, many other commended him describing the act as “gentlemanly”.

Many celebrities waded into the conversation– Nigerian actress, Anita Joseph took to Instagram to note that there’s nothing wrong with a man washing his woman’s pant, adding that her husband washes her panties and describes it as sexy.

Disqualified Big Brother Naija lockdown housemate, Erica Nlewedim, has shared stunning photos in celebration of Nigeria’s Independence day.

The 26 year-old actress took to her Instagram page to share photos and videos of the African-themed photoshoot, to commemorate the “Nigeria at 60” celebration.

Fans and well wishers have taken to the comment section to hype and shower praises on the self acclaimed “star girl”.

In the photo, she wore an African print pant suit – a combination of both Ankara and tie & dye fabric. A curvy metal object was also used to adorn her face like a jewelry.

She wrote,

Fans of Big Brother Naija season 5 winner, Laycon have taken over the vicinity of Beat FM office, Lagos to get a glimpse of their ‘president’.

Crowd began to gather at the gate of the radio station when they heard Laycon was in the building for an interview.

In the video spotted online, the fans were hyping and hailing Laycon gleefully.

The BBNaija season 5 winner had earlier announced that he would be kicking off his media tour today, October 1.

When Laycon went Live on the radio station, an intimidating crowd stormed the station’s vicinity in eagerness to see their winner.

Beat FM Lagos shared photos and videos of the rapper on their official Instagram page, as well as that of the other BBNaija finalist.

He disclosed this in his response to Wofaifada who said the show was not predictable. He differed to her opinion, saying it was predictable because they are the only housemates who were bodyshamed.

Reality TV star, Nengi consistently claimed she had a boyfriend outside the house, hence her reason for always turning down Ozo’s advances.

According to her, the state of her relationship outside the house would determine whether or not she would be with Ozo despite liking him.

In an Interview with Naija FM today the model has hinted on a possible breakup with her lover of two years.

Nengi noted that she had not been able to speak to him since she left the BBNaija house, even though she tried reaching out.

In her words,

“We been don dey for almost two years. I no know, e b like say the person don really breakup because I don try to reach out him no gree answer me”

When asked if she thinks her supposed boyfriend could have been angered by Ozo’s obsession with her on the show.

In response she noted that Ozo owes her boyfriend no loyalty, therefore he had no reason to be angered or feel disrespected.
