The president announced on Friday morning that he and his wife both tested positive for the coronavirus and this is coming days after mocking his opponent, Joe Biden.

Billboard reports that she welcomed her first child with husband Kenneth Petty on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 in Los Angeles, USA.

The 37-year-old rapper announced her pregnancy with a series of baby bump pictures on Instagram July 20, which included a glorious professional shot from famed photographer David LaChappelle.

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has been nominated alongside other international artiste in the UK Music Video Awards.

The koroba crooner bagged two nominations in the award scheme which is an annual event to honour music visuals for the UK and international arts.

Tiwa’s “49-99” is the tune that was selected to run for ‘Best styling in the R’n’B/ Soul Video international category’.

How Laycon topped chart in all #BBNaija voting results from week one.

The all voting poll from the BBNaija ‘lockdown’ edition released by the organisers of the reality show has undoubtedly shown Laycon as the man of the people from the beginning of the season.

Laycon Agbeleshe emerged winner of the show and topped all the voting poll results ahead of Erica who at a time in the house claimed the musician was using her to trend.

The analysis of the results released today by Multi-Choice showed that every week from the very first week, Laycon topped the voting charts.

However Erica, Nengi and Dorathy, also appeared to be top contenders during the course of the season, but none could come close to the percentage the rapper garners each week.

The fan favourite and Icon president won every round of voting and never lose to any housemate.

Recall that, Laycon emerged winner of the Big Brother Naija season 5 on Sunday, September 27th with the highest number of votes since the inception of the show.

Sensational singer, Simi has taken to social media to gush over her daughter Adejare as she turns four months today, October 1st.

According to Simi her daughter who she fondly calls Deja fills her hearts as she has always been joyful since her birth.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ finalist, Neo in a recent interview has cleared the air on the “pant washing saga” that transpired in the house.

According to Neo he never washed Vee’s pant but instead rinsed it contrary to what viewers thought.

In his words,

“That day, I no wash the pant, I just rinse am”.

Recall that sometime on the reality show, Nengi walked in on fellow housemate, Neo, washing his love interest, Vee’s panties in the house.

At the time Neo and his lover Vee had a misunderstanding and to settle things amongst them, the lover boy resulted to helping his lover wash her underwear.

The incident sparked mixed reaction on social media, while some users condemned and trolled Neo for his action, many other commended him describing the act as “gentlemanly”.

Many celebrities waded into the conversation– Nigerian actress, Anita Joseph took to Instagram to note that there’s nothing wrong with a man washing his woman’s pant, adding that her husband washes her panties and describes it as sexy.

However, Neo Akpofure has stated that his action was misinterpreted, insisting that he never washed Vee’s pant but only helped her to rinse it.

Crowd began to gather at the gate of the radio station when they heard Laycon was in the building for an interview.

In the video spotted online, the fans were hyping and hailing Laycon gleefully.

The BBNaija season 5 winner had earlier announced that he would be kicking off his media tour today, October 1.

When Laycon went Live on the radio station, an intimidating crowd stormed the station’s vicinity in eagerness to see their winner.

Reality TV star, Nengi consistently claimed she had a boyfriend outside the house, hence her reason for always turning down Ozo’s advances.

According to her, the state of her relationship outside the house would determine whether or not she would be with Ozo despite liking him.

In an Interview with Naija FM today the model has hinted on a possible breakup with her lover of two years.

Nengi noted that she had not been able to speak to him since she left the BBNaija house, even though she tried reaching out.

Earlier today, Nigerian netizens received the news of singing sensation, Davido taking delivery of an exotic new ride — he’d taken to his Instagram page in the wee hours of Thursday morning to show his Lamborghini Huracan being delivered at his doorstep.

Popular Nigerian socialite, Noble Igwe shared a picture of a well manicured finger with an engagement ring and captioned it “Next”.

This got the attention of Netizens who connected the dots and successfully decoded that it is Nengi’s hand. This has sparked mixed reaction from social media users.

It is worthy to note that during the BBNaija prize presentation show on Wednesday, Sept 30th, Nengi was flaunting the same ring on her middle finger.

NigeriaAt60: #RevolutionNow protesters storm the streets of Lagos

As Nigeria is marking her 60th independence day celebration, protesters on Thursday morning took to the streets of Lagos to demand an end to bad governorship and leadership.

The protesters who identified themselves as members of #Revolutionnow were heard chanting anti-government songs.

They numbered over 200 and marched from the streets of Ojota to Maryland in Lagos, chanting songs of solidarity.

According to reports, similar protests are also taking place in other parts of the country, like Osogbo in Osun state.

In a related post, President Muhammadu Buhari had in his address to the nation this morning, defended the recent increase in price of Premium Motor Spirit, stating that ”It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia”.

Some Nigerians have criticized his statement, stating that the standard of living in Saudi Arabia is higher than that of Nigeria.

Petroleum prices in Nigeria are to be adjusted. We sell now at N161 per litre.

A comparison with our neighbors will illustrate the point;

a. Chad which is an oil producing country charges N362 per litre

b. Niger, also an oil producing country sells 1 litre at N346.

c. In Ghana, another oil producing country, petroleum pump price is N326 per litre.

Fellow Nigerians, to achieve the great country we desire, we need to solidify our strength, increase our commitment and encourage ourselves to do that which is right and proper even when no one is watching.

Further afield, Egypt charges N211 per litre. Saudi Arabia charges N168 per litre. It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia.

An unidentified lady has surfaced online allegedly claiming to be pregnant for BBNaija lockdown winner, Laycon.

In a video that she recorded, she claimed to have met Laycon at a popular club in Lagos, Quilox, in March this year and they partied and had too much to drink.

After clubbing, she decided to pass the night with Laycon and they allegedly had a one night stand.

According to the lady, few months after the sexual intercourse with Laycon, she started vomiting and having symptoms of pregnancy.

She claimed that she couldn’t reach him because the contact he gave to her was not correct, but she decided to speak up when she saw Laycon on the reality show.

However, in the light of this allegation, Laycon’s social media handlers led by Scarlet Gomez said that Laycon doesn’t know the lady and has never met her.

Scarlet Gomez said: “We don’t know her and laycon has never seen her”.

According to him, other housemates also fortified themselves before going to the house unknown to an “ignorant Erica.”

He also claimed that Erica was spiritually manipulated and frustrated which led to her disqualification from the house, tagging it a spiritual attack.

There was mild drama inside a hotel premises in an unknown location in the country as an angry Nigerian mother was captured in a video that’s begun serving rounds online, disgracing her daughter after catching her with a man in the hotel.

As can be seen in the video, the quite enraged mother who is heard speaking in Yoruba, drags her daughter out of the hotel premises while hitting her intermittently.

Other people are seen watching the whole situation and not necessarily trying to dissolve it.

“What are we celebrating” – Yul Edochie fumes, says Nigerians are suffering

As Nigeria marks her 60th Independence Anniversary today, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has cried out over the plight of Nigerians.

Yul took to his Twitter handle hours ago, to speak on the country’s Independence Day Anniversary and how there is nothing worth celebrating.

The actor said that he could not wish anybody a happy independence especially because most people were not happy.

The talented movie star went further to list some unfavourable things that had gone on in the country such as fuel price increase, electricity tariff hike, unemployment and others.

Yul Edochie stated that one needed to speak the truth which is that Nigerians are suffering.

He wrote: “I cannot wish anyone a happy independence when my people are not happy.

“What are we celebrating?

“Fuel price increase? Electricity tariff hike? Hardship? Bad roads? Killings everywhere?

“Jobless youths turned beggars?

“The list is endless.

“Speak the truth.

“Nigerians are suffering.”
